Another beautifully written book which I couldn’t put down even for a second. “Autumn’s Rescue” is the forth book in the Alpha Barbarians series but it can be read as a standalone. Though if you wish to have the ultimate reading experience I kindly advise you to read all the books in the series.
Pulled from the safety of her family, now Autumn is thrown into the dangerously volatile world of alphas and her life as she’s known it is changed forever.
Will she prevail or will she be swallowed by all the tumult that she will have to face along the way?
The answer, I leave it to you to discover and I really do hope you give this book a try because it’s amazingly written!
This is my first time reading anything from this author and I’m so happy that I chose to read this book. It’s a short story so doesn’t take long to read but it’s brilliant. I loved this story; I haven’t read the previous books in the series and I was able to thoroughly enjoy this book. The plot is fantastic, and the author has done a great job giving enough details and information that I was able to picture the scene and follow along even though I was joining the journey at book 4. As for the characters, well what can I say about them? They are wonderfully written, even the badies are given some depth to them. This book is perfect from start to finish.

This story has a little of everything, sweet romance, sexy overbearing and frustrating alpha males and a beautiful woman who has the right heart and spirit. Thoroughly enjoying and entertaining.
Autumn is a captured Omega. She is being protected and allowed to choose her own Alpha. Unfortunately, Omegas are important and often stolen by less honorable Alphas. When Autumn is kidnapped, she must learn to survive until the honorable Alphas find a way to track her down and rescue her.
This is a lovely, sweet story, full of selfish evil and a caring rescue.
I thought that Autumn was truly a sweet and shy person. I think that she also had a lot of internal fire, so while she was mostly submissive, like any other omega, she’s got that burst of strength in her that keeps her going. I think that it probably surprises people.
I like Kull and Dracon. I think that they really value her, and they truly care about her and her comfort and safety. Aesir just wants to have a handy omega to play with, but he’d be happy with any convenient woman. Kantor is just a slimy scummy jerk.
Oh my! This cover – excellent choice! Love the new look of this series!
This story has my favorite alpha that this author has written so far. Several of the alphas were enjoyable to read about and I would love to read their stories as well! And… I definitely want Rayne’s story – A FEMALE ALPHA! But I really love the main character Alpha in this book. He is all the things I love! I don’t want to name him though because that’s a pretty big part of the story is Autumn choosing the Alpha she wants, even though she has a hard time with this because she was raised as a “traditional” Omega in her village. She’s never made her own decisions, she’s never had her own choices. They’ve been made for her, but all that changes when she is brought to the new village. She has a very difficult time adjusting to this and is shy to the extreme. This storyline explores that and all she has to overcome to break out of that role and choose her very own Alpha.
It has been some time since I read this series and I couldn’t quite remember who Autumn was and what significance she had to this series. The author did a great job jogging my memory at the beginning! I quickly remembered and was able to pick up Autumn’s story where it was left off last.
Each book in this series has been different, which is such a great plus. This series is a definite for those looking to ease into this Alpha/Omega universe, also known as Omegaverse. And I highly recommend it for those looking for a sweeter/less dark/less sexual storyline. Now wait – I’m not saying there aren’t sexy times, because there definitely is and they are very steamy & very detailed – but that’s not a constant in the storyline. It doesn’t overtake the story.
Ever since book three, I think the majority of us were waiting for this book to see how things will turn out for Autumn. Autumn is a more reserved Omega, who feels out of place around so many Alphas who aren’t family. With her cousin gone and her left to choose an Alpha for a mate, she does her best to navigate this new clan she finds herself in. Four contenders makes themselves known are become more of the front runners for her choice. Who, though, will be the lucky Alpha she will choose in the end?
This book was quite similar to book two in that the Omegas have to choose a mate from the eligible bachelors chosen from the clan. Difference is that Autumn got to choose who to spend time with and get to know. I pretty much narrowed it down to two possible contenders (in other words, which ones I liked more, LOL) and I am glad of her choice, even if she didn’t quite realize it herself. Enjoyed the twist and turns in the later part of the book. What I didn’t like was the lack of time the two main characters had with one another!!! Still, I thought the author handled it the best way she could have considering the dating game going on. I enjoyed the book very much. Sexual content was on the lighter side compared to the other books in the series but it’s ok. What there was was quite HOT, LOL. Is this the end of the series??? I hope not.
The author did an excellent job of creating Autumn’s character. Autumn is stronger than she thinks as she goes about learning and talking to the alphas, one of which she must choose to be her mate. Before she can make her choice, she is kidnapped by the clan alphas brother who was forced out of the clan. Darcon, one of the alphas in the running, feels the connection to Autumn strongly and will not give up finding her. Sweet Autumn gets her sweet mate in the end. At the end of the book, the author asks who should she write about next. Well I thing Kull deserves an omega or Larok with Autumn’s alpha sister.
I seriously love this author’s stories. She is pretty much a guaranteed read for me. Autumn’s Rescue definitely fell into that category for me. Autumn started out as such a shy and sheltered Omega and she ends up becoming so much stronger. I also loved Darcon right from the start. He was an Alpha that liked to be by himself but put himself in situations that he didn’t always find comfortable, just to be near Autumn, and I was rooting for him to win Autumn. I loved how this one ended as well.
I absolutely loved Autumn’s story, it was a great continuation of the series!!! The omega and the alphas were just, ugh! Utter perfection!!!
I am usually not one for sweet omegaverse stories, but Leann Ryans does a great job blending Autmn’s sweet, docile nature with the tension surrounding clan politics and our omega’s highly anticipated choice in a mate. Paralyzed by fear, Autumn must choose an Alpha mate before her next heat arrives. It seems an impossible task, but Autumn forces herself to move past her docile instincts and try to get to know the Alphas that vie for her attention. Things do not go according to plan, and Autumn now must rely on the Alphas she barely knows to rescue her from a terrible fate.
Ever since reading Verik’s price I have been wondering about this book. I knew part of what was going to happen but I was very curious how that was going to go down. I was not disappointed with the answers!
This is such a good book! It had some of the sweetest moments I have ever read in a book…and some of the most tension filled moments. I wondered if they were going to find her in time and what kind of condition she was going to be in if they did. She was in such bad shape i was scared for her.
I loved all the characters in this book… there are some I am hoping will get their own stories in the near future *cough cough* Kull… he so deserves an omega and I hope he finds her soon! and there were others that I just rolled my eyes at and laughed *cough cough* Aesir. I am so glad he was not the Alpha for Autumn! With a little maturity I hope he might get his own story someday when he grows up hahaha. He might turn out to be a great Alpha.
I can’t wait to read Leann Ryans next book! I highly recommend this book to anybody who loves their books with HEA’s and Omegaverse books.
This author has written another spellbinding omegaverse romance that keeps the reader totally engrossed to the end. It is the fourth book in the series & there are characters crossovers but this book can be read as a standalone although I would recommend reading the series in sequence to fully understand the underlying storyline. The plot is quite fast-paced & interesting with some unexpected situations & events that are well-described. The characters are unique individuals with complex personalities that continue to develop throughout the storyline.
It is about: after an attack on her village a young female omega (Autumn) & her cousin (Iris) are taken captive & traded to strangers as payment for an outstanding debt & just as Autumn is starting to become comfortable in her new life she is informed by the clans alpha (Verik) that she has to choose between 12 alphas for a mate.
There is: Verik,s despicable brother (Vargan), a barbarian (Larok) with a unique taste in omegas, a rough but caring alpha (Darcon), some devious alphas, adventure, action, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, deceit, betrayal, threats, danger, abduction, manipulations, distrust, fear, emotional turmoil, confrontations, conflict, violence, decisions, heat issues, some steam & a happy conclusion.
loved the newest book in this omegaverse!
Autumn’s Rescue is the fourth book in the Alpha Barbarians series, but as with them all can be read as a standalone. But why would you?
Autumn, unusually for an omega, is being given the chance to choose her mate from a dozen alphas, an experience which, alongside her general shyness, is only adding to her anxiety. Most of the men she can choose from behave kindly around her making her choice hard, but just as she is narrowing down her choices she is kidnapped by a renegade and drugged to within an inch of her life.
Can she be found? Will she find her mate? The world Leann Ryans creates is vividly imagined and her characters engaging. The love story is moving and the reader will love these two as much as Leann clearly does.
I really enjoyed the way Leann told this story from multiple points of view which had me wonder which alpha Autumn would choose. Leann has a talent for word building and building her stories. I love that she writes HEAs! In this story, Autumn, taken from her village during a retaliation raid, is traded along with her cousin. She has to spend time with a number of alphas and choose one of them as her mate. Along the way we get to know a few of the alphas and Leann did a great job with endearing us to a couple of them. Autumn is kidnapped and her mate leads a rescue party to go after her. This story kept me engaged throughout. I highly recommend it!
The writing and editing of the ARC version of the manuscript was pretty clean, with only occasional typos that I found. The world building was pretty good, with the society and landscape being well described. The characterization was good, and the author’s use of multiple Points of View before the heroine had really made her choice of Alpha was a clever one. The development of the romantic relationship was sweet and had a whiff of the Fated Mates trope about it. The heroine’s reactions to the different Alphas’ scents was another well done aspect of the world building and characterization, in my opinion. The plot and pacing was tight and exciting, with some political maneuvering and suspense elements that maintained my interest throughout the story. There was low angst and high stakes in this novel, which I typically enjoy in my romance novels. This novel used the Partner in Trouble trope, the Mating Bond trope, the Sickbed trope, and a setup reminiscent of The Bachalorette TV show. The world building, plot, and pacing were all four stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship were also four stars. I therefore gave this novel a combined rating of four stars. This novel had a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger, so that was a big plus. I recommend this book to readers of m/f omegaverse who enjoy fantasy or historical elements to their stories. I look forward to reading the next book in this series if the author writes more. I will be buying myself a keeper copy of this romance.

A Bachelorette omegaverse style!
After her village was attacked, Autumn as an omega must choose an Alpha to claim her between twelve Alpha.
But this sheltered, timid and shy omega is having a hard time even to approach an Alpha and simply talk to him.
Time is running to her heat.
Tension running high among her suitors.
But between them all, there’s a traitor willing to hurt this rare omega to gain power in the clan.
Soon it would be race for live or death to rescue Autumn before her kidnapper success in their evil plan
I think this might be the best book yet in this series. I loved Autumn’s gentle nature and Darcon was the perfect foil for her. I would have preferred a longer story to allow for more development of the characters and their relationship, but it was a great story nonetheless and one I’ll definitely reread in the future.
Autumn’s Rescue has to be my favorite of the series. There is quite a bit that goes down in a concise book and it was perfect to finish in one sitting. Autumn’s journey from shy and withdrawn to holding her own was very satisfying, and was crucial for her when disaster struck and she was left to deal with the aftermath of her kidnapping. She chose her Alpha well, and I loved how the author emphasized how they brought out the best in each other. The storyline progressed quickly, but smoothly and was well written to maintain the suspense throughout the several plot elements – a very satisfying read overall!
