The third in the bestselling and beloved Aunt Dimity series. Watch out for Nancy Atherton’s latest, Aunt Dimity and the King’s Ransom, coming in July 2018 from Viking!Nancy Atherton’s growing number of fans will certainly be delighted by Aunt Dimity’s latest appearance in the honey-colored English cottage she bequeathed to her “niece,” Lori Shepherd. Thanks to Aunt Dimity, Lori’s life has taken … Dimity, Lori’s life has taken on fairy-tale proportions: she’s financially set for life and happily married or so she thinks. When Lori’s plans for a second honeymoon to England with her workaholic husband fall through, she begrudgingly takes along her father-in-law who promptly disappears, leaving behind a mysterious note. Inspired and guided by the ghost of Aunt Dimity and her inimitable blue journal, Lori’s search for the elderly gentleman turns into a harrowing mission to uncover a centuries-old family secret complicated by mistaken identities, falsified deeds, family feuds, and Lori’s unseemly attraction to her husband’s beguiling English cousin. In a delightful chase that takes her all over the English countryside, Lori discovers the true meaning of marital bliss, and Nancy Atherton’s fans, new and old, will savor a masterpiece of old-fashioned fun.

Well it was fun but a little far-fetched.
Very enjoyable
I am new to the Aunt Dimity books. I read the first one on a whim and have been hooked ever since. The characters are fun and by the end of the book you wish you had an Aunt Dimity in your life. I highly recommend the Aunt Dimity books.
Enjoyable third installment in this series
This sweet book kept me entertained whilst my daughter was having a back surgical procedure that lasted hours longer than anticipated. My “seat neighbor” watched me read & copied the title & author for a future buy.
Aunt Dimity’s ghost is so like a neighbor I grew up with; it was impossible to pigeon hole her because of the complexity of her personality. For all the neighborhood children Victoria was “the mother who was not so strict & created such fun projects” for us.
Aunt Dimity took me back home at a time when I needed to rise above the solemnity of that week. This was a delight & the travel from place to place was just what was needed at the time. You know, the ability to lose oneself & come back refreshed & ready to face it all once more.
Love this book and series. Engaging characters and good plot.
Loved it, as I do all of the Aunt Dimity mysteries. Is it the rich characterizations? The unpredictability? The compelling story? Or the believability despite the stretch it requires? Whatever it is, Nancy Atherton has made me a fan. Each of her books is a gift.
I have read all Aunt Dimity Books and enjoy them and recommend to my reading friends

Every book in this series is great!
A fun quick read
Everyone’s favourite Aunt Dimity is at it again. Why should she let a little thing like being dead stop her from helping out her friends and adopted family? A fun read for all.
I love to read Aunt Dimity’s stories.
Just a fun read. Enjoyable characters.
I love all the books in the Aunt Dimity series. I have a personal strong faith in a life after this one, and a belief that those who have preceded us continue to be interested in us and our welfare. In this series of mystery books, Aunt Dimity (who is dead) uses a journal to communicate with, & assist, the heroine of our stories in solving the various puzzles set before her as she tries to navigate life on a new continent.
The writing is delightful & witty; the mysteries are clever & puzzling; and the whole of it is well written & spirited.
Starts out slow but picks up and is interesting.
Loved all of the books in this series!
The whole series is fun.
