Watch out for Nancy Atherton’s latest, Aunt Dimity and the King’s Ransom, coming in July 2018 from Viking! The latest in this enchanting and fast-selling series, featuring the beloved ghost Aunt Dimity, opens in a picturesque English cottage where the lovable Lori Shepherd is up to her elbows in pureed carrots and formula bottles, striving to be the perfect mother to twins! Luckily, a beautiful … twins! Luckily, a beautiful Italian nanny arrives just in time–so Lori can help settle the local civil war stirred up by a visiting archaeologist’s excavation.
With Reginald, the stuffed pink rabbit and Edmond Terrance, the stuffed tiger in tow, Lori hunts down a missing document, and the archaeologist digs up a lot more than artifacts. It is Aunt Dimity’s magic blue notebook that provides the key to buried secrets and domestic malice, and shows all the residents of Finch that even the darkest acts can be overcome by forgiveness.

Aunt Dimity Digs In is the 4th installment in Nancy Atherton’s charming series, and the sense of family and community is very strong in this one – I actually shed a (happy) tear at the end. Well done!
If an author wants to know what I mean by passion in a book, just read any book in this series. There is mystery, romance, family, and good friendship all rolled up in each book. The main characters are very endearing, the plot is easily followed without sacrificing the heart of the story, and the things these characters get themselves into is funny, sad, loving, and heartwarming. Read the first book and you will be hooked like I am! I highly recommend this book!
I have read every one of the Aunt Dimity books and will continue until Ms. Atherton stop writing them or I am no longer; I am quite old. You can envision yourself in this beautiful English village with the quirky cast of characters, meeting new people coming into the village and trying to solve the mysteries they being with them. This is a series for everyone who loves a wonderful paranormal series with a loving ghost by the name of Aunt Dimity.
Have read most of the series

Always enjoy the Aunt Dimity books!
I have read all of Nancy Atherton’s book and I look later was entertained by them all. They are good cozy mysteries!
I’ve read many of the Aunt Dimity books, and it was fun to read Aunt Dimity Digs In and understand the motivations of the characters in the village. I particularly enjoyed seeing the village come together and seeing Lori learn how to be a part of her new home. I also enjoy the warm and positive relationships in Lori’s family. Right now I want books with pleasant characters and pleasant relationships. I particularly enjoy gentle cozies with intriguing puzzles but no unpleasant images or concepts, and I feel safe with this series.
Enjoyable read, but I liked some of the earlier ones in the series better.
I love the characters in the series. I feel like I am there.
Another fun read. Loved the ending.
