Since her parents’ death a year before, Amaya Sanchez has been paying her brother Diego’s medical expenses. But she can’t manage anymore on a waitress’ salary, so when she hears of a virgin auction, she knows what to do. She’s not too keen on the idea, but there it is. Amaya is relieved that the man who won the bid is the hottie she had spotted right from the start. Theo Rhodes is set for an arranged marriage with Talia Viskos to take place in two months. He can’t afford to mess up otherwise there could be disastrous consequences. Theo embraced the idea of the virgin auction: he doesn’t want to hurt anyone again; you see, Theo has a huge problem…
To begin with, I must be honest: I don’t particularly enjoy virgin auction tropes. The only reason I picked up this book is because I’ve read everything Carmen Falcone has written since I discovered her books several years ago. I really liked that Theo was quite different from most male romance heroes, sexually speaking. I also appreciated the reason why Amaya is still a virgin; it’s not because of flimsy reasons, but because she’s got a good head on her shoulders. I found her reasons were valid for participating in the auction, but I believe he could have gone about his problem in a couple of other ways.
In view of how it would eventually play out – this being a romance, after all – I felt sorry for Talia, and not for what would seem the obvious reasons. I’m glad everything turned out for the best for her, even though she’s barely present in the novel; I liked her. This is a personal matter and did not influence my rating: I had a couple of issues with some words: I found the use of “screw” a bit offputting, especially at the beginning, and I can’t honestly explain why; and I thought the idea of “breaking in a virgin” rather gross. Also, I didn’t understand “breach” in the context; maybe it’s some slang I don’t know.
Theo is a very nice guy; his attraction to Amaya was palpable, and their mutual affection felt genuine. The only thing holding them back was his impending, unwanted, but necessary wedding. The romance was really very nice, I believed in it, and it was super steamy, as expected. Strangely enough, the few issues I had with the story didn’t really have to do with the auction, but that Theo’s purportedly unmanageable huge size appeared to be mostly a non issue with Amaya. And I thought a big plot twist, while providing some interesting storytelling, was too much of a coincidence. I also wondered how different the story could have been if there had been better communication between two characters earlier on.
Love has a way of finding a heart when it doesn’t even know it’s looking. What would you risk for love? Falcons delivers a short, but spicy tale of romance that sets the heart on fire and the hormones racing. Auctioned to the Greek Billionaire is as addictive as it is emotional.
Amaya Lopez will do what ever is necessary to take care of family. But something changes along the way. Theo Rhodes needs to do his family duty but at what cost? Does he have the right to think about his own needs first?
This is an author that knows how to build chemistry between her characters. They seemed to compliment each other even though others wanted something else. It was interesting to see that Theo was unsure of himself at the beginning. He’s always thinking of others and especially when it comes to his parents. Amaya also had family obligations but hers deal more with the heart.
The two together create plenty of steam heat. You may wonder if the pages are going to combust. But you also have to wonder when the twist was going to come – I always felt like there was someone holding a shoe waiting for it to drop. Part of that shoe drop moment is because the author created a character that even though we don’t see much of him he’s easy to hate. If not for him, turning the page might have been a little different. Yes, the connection the couple had was intense but that man was always in the background and I just kept waiting for him to pop up again. If I didn’t turn the page, than how would I know if he was there or not. This book piqued my interest in the Highest Bidder series – what do the other books have to offer. But since this is the first book, I’ll just have to wait and see.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
4.5 Stars
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it won’t be the last. The characters were well developed and the storyline intriguing. Poor Amaya, she will do anything to see her brother and his future set, even auctioning off her virginity. Luckily Theo, a man who wants to save his company and legacy, bid on Amaya and wins. Even though Theo has an ulterior motive for bidding in the auction Amaya worms are way under his skin. They both have similar drives to save their family but they go about it in very different ways. Will they both be able to save their family in the end? Will Amaya be able to come back from her time in Greece unscathed? I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Great read. Loved the twist and turns that weren’t expected in this story. Amaya and Theo had a chemistry from the beginning, I love how things ended.
Another great, sensual, romantic book by Carmen Falcone. She needs money to take care of family and this seems to be the only way. He needs someone that he can use to learn loving without pain. Unknown to each other, and only through the looks they give each other from across the room, they feel a sudden wanting. They know how their contract will end, but still they could not help the burning desire for each other. They also didn’t know there would be attempts on her life. Why would anyone want to end her life? Grab this book and read how it all began, the sizzling middle, the danger and secrets they discover, and the erotic need for each other, before they go back to their separate lives. After all a contract is a contract.
A crazy love story, set against the backdrop of jet-setting locales, with a great romance that delivers a great escape.
When Amaya made the decision to auction off her virginity, it was not one made lightly. With the death of her parents, the responsibility for her autistic older brother has fallen to her. She wants the best for him but also for herself. This auction can be the answer.
Theo has a bit of a problem, he is well endowed and has in the past hurt a woman who was a virgin. Now he faces an arranged marriage to a virgin and needs to practice the patience that will be required not to hurt his bride. He will have thirty days with Amaya to work on that patience and to complete the act.
Not a very auspicious beginning of a relationship, but then it is only for a month, not a lifetime.
Aside from all the innuendos and the actual acts there’s a lot more to this story. Theo accidently finds that his uncle is responsible for a reprehensible act in the US now he just has to find a way to hold him accountable and all his worries for his company will be over and he won’t have to go through with the arranged marriage.
Kindle melting heat in this one and a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
After her parents pass away Amaya is responsible for her brother’s medical care so she decides to auction off her virginity. Theo is set to marry someone arranged by his father but he doesn’t want to disappoint his future bride so he bids on Amaya at the auction so he can practice before his wedding. This is an original storyline with characters who have great chemistry. Auctioned To The Greek Billionaire is book one and a good start to The Highest Bidder series. I look forward to the next book in the series.
When Amaya was left to care for her impaired older brother, she had to figure out how to make sure that he had the proper care as well as figuring out how to pay for it. She decided to take advantage of an auction, and just auction off her virginity to the highest bidder. With a quick prayer that it wasn’t a horrible man, Amaya goes through with the process, and lucks out by getting Theo, the greek god she was staring at. To throw a bit of a twist, Theo wants to take Amaya back to Greece with him, while he takes care of business matters. The two have just one month in their agreement, will it be enough? When Amaya finds out the reason that Theo “bought” her, will she still want to carry on?
Well…. this was a bit disappointing, I had actually hoped for a lot more than what we got. This had all the makings of a great story, but fell flat. Don’t get me wrong, there was a lot of drama, and the naughty times were hot. But the writing just seemed a bit off, and some scenes seemed like they didn’t finish. Giving loads of description, but then… not finishing?! And don’t get me started on the aborted first try or the whole uncle thing. I give this 3 stars.
Her savior?
After losing her parents and sister, Amaya is left alone to care for her autistic brother. They love each other dearly, but she does not have the funds to care for him appropriately. Farfetched as it may be, she enters a “virgin auction” where she is sold to Theo. How will they handle the situation, and where will it lead? Another intriguing read by Ms. Falcone.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Auctioned to the Greek Billionaire by Carmen Falcone is book One in The Highest Bidder Series. This is the story of Amaya Sanchez and Theo Rhodes .
Amaya’s parents have passed on and she is solely responsible for her brother’s medical care which on her waitress job is become a issue. So when she finds out about the Madame Alexa’s Virgin Auction she thinks this is the route to go to get the much needed money. Theo father has arranged a traditional Greek marriage to a Greek Virgin for him which is more a business arrangement. But Theo had a bad experience in the past which has left him with doubts about his large size. So to ensure that this marriage starts off right he goes to the auction to bid someone to practice on before his wedding that should be happening in the next few months.
There is a intimidate attraction between the two but can these two be able to walk away from what they are feeling?
Enjoyed their story.
This is my first book by this author. She is new to me and I am glad that I took the chance to discover her work. Amaya would do anything to help her brother stay safe since she is all that he has. To do so, she decides to enter an auction for her virginity. Theo is trying to save his company so when he see Amaya, he figures that they can both benefit from each other. Little does he know that by the time it is all said and done, he actually needed her more than she needed him. The attraction and chemistry between the characters were great. This story flowed wonderfully and it was steamy when it needed to be but also touching. It was a great read.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Amaya Lopez was in need of money to take care of her autistic brother, more than what she could make waiting tables. Theo Rhodes needs to learn how to be with a virgin before his wedding, so he doesn’t hurt his future bride. Amaya and Theo bring their two worlds together when she auctions off her virginity to the highest bidder and Theo whisks her away to Greece for a month. Theo and Amaya make a connection that neither one could see coming and Amaya will learn exactly what it means to be Auctioned by a Greek Billionaire.
Auctioned by the Greek Billionaire is a steamy, hot erotic novella that will set your world on fire. Well written and enticing this story will pull you in and keep you warm through the night. 4-stars for Auctioned by the Greek Billionaire by Carmen Falcone.
A hot and steamy one handed read. Theo is massive in every respect. Amaya is to be his virgin trainer. From start to finish these two blaze a path through this story. Theo has to decide if what was supposed to be a temporary arrangement will need to become permanent.
I give this book 3 stars.
I wanted to see if I liked the trope of virgin auctions and I did not.
Amaya has no choice in who chooses her and who she gives her virginity to or how. She is lucky and ends up with Theo who is good to her and they have sexual chemistry but he is supposed to marry another woman a month after their month together.
The sexual content is very crinchworthy and I didn’t like the way she described the scenes especially in the beginning.
Closer to the end the sexual content is a lot less and I began to really like the story and the plot.
I also liked Amaya and her reasonings for doing what she did and she has been through a lot of bad things so you really rut for her and her HEA with Theo.
Theo is a really good man, but he is going though a lot with his family firm, his uncle, his parents, his wedding that he doesn’t want and falling for Amaya so he is very conflicted throughout the book.
The story is set in Greece, Athens and there are beautiful descriptions of the city. It also describes how close the families are and their traditions.
I received this book from Entangled Publishing and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
