Auctioned to the Convicts (book 1 of Prison World series) is a steamy reverse harem romance with an enemies to lovers trope set on a prison planet where women are scarce and love even scarcer. Hanna’s story continues in Protected by the Convicts.

Hannah was being sent to prison for trying to save her sister’s life. Now she will be auctioned off to four convicts who hate each other and don’t like that they have to share. Will she find a way to be with them all and survive? Fast-paced sci-fi read with plenty of drama and steam. I really liked this hot read.
A love story in the making. Hannah is sent to a planet where she will be forced into a unit with four other men. Men who could kill her, rape her, do anything they want with her. But she is fortunate enough to be able to choose her unit and she chooses men who seem to have redeeming qualities. But other than Ky’li, the others have always been loners on the planet, doing their jobs and wanting off after their ten years of service. They don’t want to be in a unit and are angry at first fight and with each other and her. But as her caring and love bring them together as a “family”, she is targeted by Dresden, the man who runs the colony, and by other convicts. They guys need to keep her safe but she has been warned that Dresden can send any of them away to the worst colony there is. The Company has tricked and used people to get what they want, and none of them will ever be able to just serve their ten years and go back to civilization. Now they must take down the Company before their new fragile family is destroyed and they are killed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
A very well written book about Hannah who is imprisoned on the planet Narkos by The Company. Narkos, penal planet has the harshest and deadliness convicts so when Hannah arrived she was auction and Griggs won the bid but she challenged Griggs and Ky’Li volunteered to fight in her stead and won but then by the rules they had to choose a unit or Hannah will be given back to Griggs unit. The unit Hannah chose was Ky’Li. Vaughn, Renzel and Sersie. The guys are well defined into different personalities; Ky’Li the soldier who was betrayed by his previous unit, Vaughn the doctor who is illegally healing the convicts, Renzel the engineer who saving his credits to leave the planet and Sersie the scientist who is fighting a drug habit. Hannah is drawn to each guy but will their personalities and their breaking rules tear them apart? Can they work together as a unit? This is the first part of the story so it leaves it open at the end of what will happen to her unit. I enjoyed reading and reviewing this reverse harem ARC via bookspout.
Julie sure know how to make the reader experience the panic, fear, hopelessness and chaos a person would find and feel if one was living in a penal colony… even the reader is reading from the safety of her own home.

This is such a wonderful story. The characters were really great and Hannah had a job of uniting her four men into one family unit. Each man has issues, each man wants Hannah, each wants to protect her. Hannah makes each man the best that he can be. I enjoyed this story so much. This novel was cleanly written and edited, with few typos. The story was gripping and exciting, and I was definitely rooting for the heroine and her four romantic heroes! This is part one in a two part duo logy with these characters. Thankfully, this first novel does not really end on a cliffhanger, so that is a big plus. I am very excited to read book two and get these wonderful characters’ Happy Ever After ending. The world building in this novel was excellent, drawn deftly with a subtle hand. The characterization was top-notch, with each of the protagonists being well drawn, distinct individuals. That is not an easy task for an author writing a reverse harem romance. The development of the romantic relationships between the heroine and each of her heroes was organic and believable, with me able to watch them going through the process of falling in love. This romance uses the Woman Shortage trope, which is a variation of the Mars Needs Women trope, only without any aliens. I recommend this romance to readers who enjoy that trope and reverse harem sci-fi novels. I am eagerly anticipating the next novel, which will wrap up these characters’ romance.

I enjoyed reading this book, the interaction and chemistry between the characters was AWESOME AND AMAZING! The story line is entertaining and pulls at your heart. It was well written and developed and I Loved Hannah and her four men. They need to become a family unit and in the process become better men with Hannah’s help. They each have their own flaws but want to keep Hannah safe from the other convicts where she is auctioned. There are so many emotions and realistic moments you can feel and empathize with these characters. A must read for fans of Julie K. Cohen especially if you like plenty of hot steamy sizzling moments!!!

*Spoiler Alert*
Hannah (FMC) is a convict that has been sentenced and sent to Narkos Prison Colony (I didnt notice what she had done to be sent there though?). A colony that is jam-packed with men and very little women. So when she arrives shes instantly auctioned off into a unit of men. Ones she chooses herself – Ky’Li, Vaughn, Sersie and Ren. Arguments, Fights, distrust all happen throughout as they try to make their unit work especially with Hannah in constant danger from other men. With the 5 of them together they have a great dynamic, each with their own secrets, vulnerabilities and difficulties. I loved how Hannah tried her best to pacify and understand all the guys even when they were making it difficult for her. Plenty of steamy moments and flaming hell that ending quite a cliffhanger. Just Great!!
I can’t even imagine being in a situation like Hannah, one of a few women in a prison colony where the guards are worse in some aspects as the prisoners themselves.
Julie K. Cohen a new to me author sparked my interest in her reverse harem sci-fi story. The story and characters kept me entertained. A couple of my damn moments a few grins and whew all that male attention a girl could want right? So what’s the prob?
You try putting 4 males together that would rather be apart. Different backgrounds and personalities all have one woman to share, to make the unit work or pay the consequences. Oh and yeah no one wants to share.
Pretty fluid storyline good girl gone bad kinda, meets boy, kinda makes friends kinda not. No male wants to be JUST a friend. Hannah must choose who will be a benefit. Brains, Medical, Brawn, Resourcefulness. How will she get them all to be a cohesive ‘family’? read and see how it all comes together.Julie K. Cohen

Some very harsh men won her, she challenged the leader, and the grey eyed man stepped forward to challenge him for her! His name is Ky’Li. This book is a darker, steamier read. The main characters in this book are each written having flaws that are very realistic and you can empathize with, and that they and the others in their “unit” have to deal with and overcome in order to stay together and survive. But each still maintains a redeeming quality that keeps you reading on and cheering on Hannah and her men hoping for a happy ending.
This book isn’t for anyone easily put off by the idea of a reverse harem that deals with the idea of being one of very few women on a prison planet and needing protection from other violent convicts.
The characters are well written and you learn what caused each one to fall from grace and their struggle to maintain their humanity in the face of unfair treatment by the Company and their Managers on the planet. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

This book grabs you from beginning to end. First off to not give a name but just calling him Grey eyes was a complete turn on for me not to mention he was kicking everybody butt on the ship without taking those eyes off her!!! That happened before she even got to the planet where everyone is doom and gloom. Only to get auctioned to a BIG NASTY BEAST!!! That is until Grey eyes steps up!! And I haven’t even got to the part where she has to pick the rest of her unit(family) Ya’ll have got to read this book me talking about it just makes me want to reread it AND I WILL!!!! Can’t wait for the next one!!! Julie has officially been added to my G.O.A.T. list!!!!!! This book is the BOMB!!!

When she got to the Colony she will be auction off to a unit of four men and she is humiliated by the Manager (Dresden) of Narkos he makes Hannah to chose her four men to make a unit and they are Ky’Li, Vaughn, Sersie, Renzel and their number is Unit 475. Hannah try’s to make the unit work as a family as she her self try to deal with all the male around her wanting her because she is a woman. She is trying to do her job to make credits so that she can get things she needs to make it so they all will work together to keep each other save. Hannah try’s to deal with her problems alone but she want the men to work together. The men all get together and work out how to keep her save when she is not at their place. Now would be the time to get this book. I will be getting more from this author.
This book was so different to what most of the other reverse harem books that I’ve read but I really enjoyed it.
The men in Hannah’s harem don’t like each other and certainly don’t want to share her, causing a lot of conflict in the book. Each of the men are so different but yet they are similar in that they have been broken by their past and are trying to be as human as they can be given that they’re on a prison planet.
Hannah is such a strong character, not physically but mentally and emotionally. She is thrust into this horrendous situation and while she’s terrified, she refuses to break down and let that fear control her. She also wants to get to know each of the men she’s put with and also to let them know that she is not a possession and they don’t own her. Hannah is prepared to accept her situation, but will do it on her terms.
I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series to find out how everything unfolds
Great Sci-Fi reverse harem and scorching hot!
