One week.
Private beach.
Invisible girl.
Jerk-faced bully.
What’s the worst that could happen?
Kaitlyn Parker has no problem being the invisible girl, which is why she finds herself hiding in various cabinets and closets all over her college campus. Despite her best efforts, she can’t escape the notice of Martin Sandeke — bad boy, jerkface bully, and the universe’s hottest, wealthiest, and most … wealthiest, and most unobtainable bachelor — who also happens to be Kaitlyn’s chemistry lab partner.
Kaitlyn might be the only girl who isn’t interested in exploiting his stunning rower’s build, chiseled features, and family’s billionaire fortune. Kaitlyn wants Martin for his brain, specifically to tabulate findings of trace elements in surface water.
When Kaitlyn saves Martin from a nefarious plot, Martin uses the opportunity to push Kaitlyn out of her comfort zone: spring break, one week, house parties, bathing suits, and suntan lotion. Can she overcome her aversion to being noticed? Will he be able grow beyond his self-centered nature? Or, despite their obvious chemistry, will Martin be the one to drive Kaitlyn into the science cabinet of obscurity for good?
Elements of Chemistry: ATTRACTION is the first part in a three part series; it is 45k words; and it ends with a cliffhanger.

I loved this book. It was so easy to read and left you rooting for the female lead to make her own incredible self discovery.
I really enjoyed this book. It was steamy and kept me engrossed the whole time. It does plow full steam ahead from the get go. I wish there had be a scene with them just as lab partners so there was a better sense of just how much of a shock they went from just lab partners to him putting the moves on her. I do warn that it does have a …
Good for lovers of chemistry and how it works within us. Good reading.
Penny Reid is my favorite author for many reasons, but mostly because her characters have depth, and there is always an abundance of intellectual humor. This is one of her steamier books 🙂
The Elements of Attraction series is an unpredictable, witty, ultimately satisfying read. Grab it now!
I love this story. It is funny and smart. Kaitlyn and Martin are so different and the chemistry of attraction definitely has to work hard to span their differences.
I grabbed both the ebook and audiobook but I love the narration on this book so much that I never even opened the ebook!
I think I forgot this book is part of a trilogy, but luckily …
I swear, I seem to like every Penny Reid book I read more than the previous one. Her writing just makes me so happy! I love the characters in this series. Poor Martin, with his disgruntled attitude in life, surely caused by his family’s status and name and the fact that EVERYONE has always wanted to use him for those things. His pull to Katy is …
I was looking for an easy read after a very heavy book that I just finished and Attraction was the perfect one to get rid of that funk.. not only the story is great and will make you laugh a lot but also the characters are amazing and lets not talk about Kaitlyn Parker she steals the whole show..
Kaitlyn a very smart and talented lady, who comes …
I have had these books on my kindle for ages and I just felt like something a bit shorter but not too short and I can’t believe I only just read this book now.
Penelope Reid is such a fantastic writer and this book is so smart, I am not a science nerd and I probably failed science but god I love this theme for these books.
In this book I felt …
Yeah, I’m late to the party but better late than never, right?!
So, this was my first book by this author and OMG I could slap myself for not reading this book sooner since I had it on my kindle forever. Now I really need to get my hands on the second book because that cliffhanger there, it totally killed me. It ended like at the best part – …
Attraction is my first ever read by Penny Reid and I have to say that I liked Attraction. The writing was really good and the story had me hooked right away. Kaitlyn was a smart, nerdy, and levelheaded character that I really enjoyed. She is very focused on school and stays away from distractions, like her lab partner Martin who she is heavily …
Ahmahgah this book was great! I absolutely loved it. Katy is the whole shy nerdy girl who doesn’t think she’s beautiful. Martin is the super hunky lab partner who is on the rowing team and likes her. I thought the book was highly entertaining and funny. The banter between them is awesome. Gah, what a cliffy! I can not wait for part 2 to come out. …
Book one in a three book series whose characters are nuanced in unexpected ways which set it apart from the other romances.
I have a love/hate relationship with new adult/college themed romances. I’m well past that age and I generally prefer to read stories about couples in their mid twenties/early thirties. I also do not enjoy reading about the craziness that is college life.
With that being said Penny is one of my favorite authors ever and I want to read every …
You’ll NEVER go wrong with Penny Reid. She’s simply amazing. Romance and you always learn something along the way…
Loved this book but didn’t like that I had to get 2 more books to finish the story.
Ended up buying all 3 books. Be ware this book ends i n the middle of the story so if you have no intention of buying the other 2 dont read!
It’s Penny Reid. Duh. Nothing more needs to be said.
Part i of three parts…cliff hanger. Love Penny Reid characters…but will have to finish the rest of the story!!
Did not like the way it ended
