A supremely practical and useful book. James Clear distills the most fundamental information about habit formation, so you can accomplish more by focusing on less
This book teaches you how to improve yourself by tiny efforts daily like 1% that value after a year 37%. It’s a system building and not just goals making and a guide that helps you to embrace good habits daily while you get rid of bad ones
Great read, definitely a resource I’ll come back to again and again. Love the tangible tips. Highly recommend.
Great new book on how to make habits stick. I picked up a lot of great tips from this one and really enjoyed it!
I’m continuously fascinated by how we, as humans, work and think. This is a great read for anyone wanting insight into how to break, or start a new habit. As well as the blocks we put up when trying to fulfill our goals.
A succinct guide and manual to anyone who’d like to improve on themselves by cultivating better habits.
This book is very good. James Clear does a fabulous job of breaking down habit formation—or the giving up of “bad” habit—in a very concise and easy-to-follow way. It’s a book I like well enough I’ve purchased my own copy as I want the physical copy in front of me for future reference. I think reading Charles Duhigg’s “The Power of Habit” first was a good call on my part, as he explains in depth the science and psychology behind habits. Then James Clear picks up where that leaves off and gives us formulas for success in creating meaningful habits for ourselves. I’ve come away with some very good anecdotes for my own life, as well as things I’ve already begun teaching my students and children about habit formation.
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: Read by the author. The advantage of listening to a book read by its author is always that you’ll get the inflection and sound the author had in his head when he wrote it. A possible disadvantage is that he/she will be a full reader. That didn’t prove the case with Clear. I enjoyed this listen very much and found that he read the book at a speed probably typically faster than a lot of readers. I didn’t mind it.
Now to put his good instructions to use!
I’m listening to the audio version of this book and I find myself taking notes, stopping to repeat important points, and most importantly, put ideas into action right away. It’s the best book on forming habits that I’ve ever read.
Excellent, clear explanation on why habits are hard to make and break. Great hints on doing both.
James Clear has spent years honing the art and studying the science of habits. This engaging, hands-on book is the guide you need to break bad routines and make good ones.
A special book that will change how you approach your day and live your life.
Simple, easy steps, not a quick fix but a reasonable plan to change your habits. I found the book to be very interesting, I never knew how we formed our habits. Knowledge is power, understanding how makes it easier to make changes. I loved that it wasn’t a cold turkey deal. You take a look at you, what you are doing now daily and think about what you want to do. From there the author shows you how to add small details to your day to develop this new habit.
I would recommend this anyone who wants to add or leave habits behind. It’s a fast read gets to the point quickly.
Our subconscious defines our character, our attitude in life choices. This is why, by analyzing the past and our reactions to different situations along the path we trod and continue to tread, we can reveal our paradigm, our operating system. Recognizing it allows us to understand how to improve, to rewrite the code that is the basis for our actions, and introduce new models for the formation of new, positive habits in the subconscious.
Great book!

Farewell Jet Lag is a book about systems to help you beat jet lag as an author I can appreciate the value of what James Clear is getting at in setting up systems to win and produce the results you want, in our case a flying schedule jet lag-free!
It all starts with building good habits
Anyone who wants to change a habit should read this book.
I recommend this book to everyone who aspires to be better, personally and professionally. It’s a great model to change habits but also very revealing about human nature. It has been a great inspiration in writing my second book (I actually quote it and use many of its insights in the contents of my book). Thank you James Clear!
