Readers can’t help but be stunned by sizzling chemistry and electrifying excitement of this romance as Erin and Ven struggle to resist the magnetic attraction all while struggling to stay alive against a whole lot of enemies including a majorly vicious vampire that wants Erin for himself. The romance is a powerful and intense and full of emotion and the readers can’t help but be drawn to this couple and their story which is a brilliant mix of passion, excitement, action and suspense.
The fast pace ensures that readers never have a chance to look away from the pages as the vampires wage a continuous siege on the alliance in order to capture Erin and Ven (the evil goddess as set her vile target on him). The action, excitement and suspense of this story is further enhanced by some powerful magic that adds flair to the story as it just might save Queen to be Riley and her unborn child. With all of the high octane excitement and surprising twists in the story, readers can’t possible find a moment to put down this book.
The brother of the king to be finds his soul mate. Witches, vampires, shifters and Atlanteans…story full of action that at times can be little slow but entertaining. Lots of soul mate romance and heat included.
I absolutely adore this series. The only problem I have is that she can’t write faster.
Sweet Vengeance….
What an intriguing, sensual, magical and steamy story full of pain and hope.
Lord Vengeance, or Ven as he is known wants not for women, as a matter of fact what better way to relax after a brutal battle with evil, but to have a night in the arms of a willing woman. When the mighty all powerful Lord Vengeance sets his eyes on the witch his brother the Prince wants him to meet for an alliance, everything else dims for him. The witch may be all toughness, but he can get that out of her and make her pliable to him. He is a mighty warrior of Atlantis, or is he a guppy in her presence?
Erin Conners has one thing in mind, vengeance for the brutal murder of her family 10 years ago by the dreaded vampire Caligula. She may be a powerful witch, but she needs this alliance with the warriors of Atlantis if she is to succeed in her quest. One look at the powerful Lord Vengeance and all her sauciness emerges, but is it just a cover-up for the desire to jump his bones?
Read how they love, fight and sing their way to the source, but will they succeed, or risk losing all they have accomplished?
Poseiden’s finest against vampires…I’d like to see that, but I’ll settle for reading about it.
Ven is second in line to the throne, but he doesn’t want it. He is happy being head of the Warrior Academy.
Erin Connor is a witch and knew she was in trouble when she came face to face with Ven. I think we all know where this is going, but I am looking forward to a slip sliding ride to Atlantis.
Ven quickly knew he would stop at nothing to protect her from those who pursue her.
The romance is otherwordly instalove, easy for me to accept in a novel where it is to be expected…which I will leave to you to find out why.
Atlantean, Elven, Vampires, Shapshifters, Witches…you never know who your friends are.
The world and characters are familiar, at least some of them, and I love learning more about them. Danger is always near and that creates suspense and curiosity for me.
Though the storyline is familiar and easy to figure out, I do like surprised lovers, magical love and battles between good and evil.
The romance is steamy and for adults only.
Even though Atlantis Awakening tells Ven and Erin’s story, it leaves us in a pickle with the overall storyline. I recommend reading in order to get the full impact.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Atlantis Awakening by Alyssa Day.

I read Atlantis Awaking when it first came out and its will always be one of my favorite of the series.
Vengeance ( Ven) also known as the “King’s Vengeance” has a special place in me. Its a must read!!!!
Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to take a journey with the awesome Warriors of Poseidon.
This was an entertaining, well-written book. Erin wants vengeance against those who murdered her family. She is forced to work with Ven, a warrior risen from Atlantis, who is skilled with a sword, not diplomacy. They have to work together while dealing with their unexpected attraction to each other. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is book two in the Warriors of Poseidon series. I enjoyed this quick moving, steamy book and look forward to reading more books in this series as well as other books by this author.
Ven is a warrior, not a diplomat. But he’s drafted to work with a human… and not just ANY human, but a WITCH… to recover a priceless ruby, the Nereid’s Heart. It was stolen from Poseidon’s trident and it’s been lost in the shadows of time for millennia, but it’s desperately needed to save Atlantis, humanity, and the world…
Erin is supposed to work with Ven but finds herself confused and unsure. She’s drawn to Ven, but she doesn’t have time to deal with the unwanted emotions and distractions. Her duty is clear: she must recover the Nereid’s Heart. But destiny is a fickle thing…
Wow what a ride! Fast paced and action packed, this book twists and turns faster than a water spout! Loved every sentence! Would recommend to anyone that enjoys fantasy with a healthy dose of steamy eroticism!
Ven is the the king’s brother and his instrument of vengance when needed he is out with some of the seven in Seattle where Ven was suppose to meet his contact a witch who was suppose to help them with the war they were fighting with the Vampires and the shifters. He was late meeting the witch but she was even later which had him pissed and about to leave except she slipped in and caught him right off guard but he pulled it together, Erin Connors met him at an out of the way bar he was struck by her beauty which touched something in him he chose to ignore. Erin was a nineth level gem witch who has not fully come into her powers yet she was totally attracted to Ven and tripps him out at the house of the witches only they aren’t her witches these two want to hurt her and take her with them but Ven is not about to let that happen only they get the best of them both and Ven comes in contact with Daniel/Drakos the vampire but Quinn swears that he can be trusted even though Ven is not so sure but he listened to what the vamp said that a 2000 year old roman Caligula was after Erin, by the time the other witches return he leaves Erin with them for the night before he takes her to Atlantis. Erin learn somethings she didn’t know about her sister and the monster who has been holding her all this time. This story is very interesting and the gem song and the gem Goddess makes the storyline as well as the characters intriguing. I was given a copy as a gift from the author without obligation. I am providing an honest review.
The Warrior’s Creed: We will wait. And watch. And protect. And serve as first warning on the eve of humanity’s destruction. Then, and only then, Atlantis will rise. For we are the Warriors of Poseidon, and the mark of the Trident we bear serves as witness to our sacred duty to safeguard mankind.
He was an Atlantean warrior prince and often scowled when someone called him “Your Highness”. He didn’t like the title even in jest. Prince Ven, yeah, right. However much he disliked the idea, he was stuck being second in line to the throne, at least until Conlan and Riley started popping out babies. Which had better be soon, because no way did Ven ever want that obligation: King of the Seven Isles of Atlantis. He was much better as head of the warrior training academy. The King’s Vengeance, whose sworn duty it was to protect his brother the king. Taking names and kicking ass of any vamp or shapeshifter who decided to snack on humans.
Conlan had been on an alliance-forming kick lately, especially since his new soon-to-be wife’s sister just happened to be one of the human forces rebelling against vampire and shapeshifter control. That’s why he setup a meeting for Ven to meet a representative from Seattle Coven of Light, the main coven in his area.
Erin Connors was already in trouble with the coven. She needed them and the Atlanteans. Erin was a powerful gem singer. The ancient myths and prophecies state that the resonance of the gem stone sounds in the emotion of the singer. And apparently in the one with the ability to soul-meld with the gem singer. Unfortunately, she had also been gifted with the Wilding magic. It was a dark magic that she was desperately trying to learn to control. And for this reason, Caligula was after her … again. He had already killed her mother and sisters, or so she thought, leaving her father to grieve himself to death.
Alyssa Day has combined mythology and given it a modern day twist with vamp and shapeshifters. The main plot is interwoven throughout the story with subplots branching off here and there. If you read “Atlantis Rising”, then you’ll remember the sexual chemistry between Conlan and Riley. Well, the same almost uncontrollable, overwhelming sexual chemistry has taken a grip on Ven and Erin. It’s intriguing, sexy, romantic and honorable. This is an thrilling story in an outstanding series.
First off let me say I love PNR books and I absolutely love Alyssa’s writing. PNR has and always will be my go to books when I’m in a book funk. This book has amazing characters and storyline and page turning good. If you’re into PNR, you will love this series.
I love everything she writes
~ 4 Awakening Stars ~
Atlantis Awakening is book two in the Warriors of Poseidon series by Alyssa Day. This is a good follow after the first book Atlantis Rising. We get lots of action, adventure, Hot Atlantan men, and women who complement them.
Ven, the King’s Vengeance, head of the warrior training academy and second in line to the throne of Atlantis. He is pure alpha warrior.
Erin, a witch, gem singer which is a rare and a lost art. She does not know who she is, until the high witches in the coven tell her of her heritage.
This book was great! Definitely an improvement on the first book. I found it hard to put this one down. We get more of an in-depth story and character development. The romance was wonderful. Their are some great new developments with our Hot Atlantan Warriors. Major twist with Justice that made me go wow I did not see that coming. I liked seeing Conlan and Riley from Atlantis Rising. We learn they are having a baby and things are not going so well with the pregnancy. I liked seeing more of Atlantis and learning about a new Goddess with the arrival of our gem singer.
Atlantis Awakening gives us lots of twist, surprises, and new developments. Ms. Day has created an interesting world with action and romance. Now I’m hooked and can’t wait to read on and find out what happens with Justice and all the others in this series. You should add these books to you’re TBR list!
Wonderful! I love the humorous Ven and the down to earth witch Erin. It is yet another wonderful story in this series!
In the second book of the Warriors of Poseidon, Ven, the King’s Vengeance is determined to protect his brother Conlan, his lover Riley and their unborn baby by working with a witch, Erin Connors. To complicate matters, they’re tasked with finding a gem that will heal Riley and the baby, rescuing Erin’s sister from the vampires, destroying the evil vampire Caligula, and working with the rebels to defeat the threat of the vampires and weres working together. That’s a lot of rest on two people’s shoulders, but the Atlantean warrior and the gem singing witch are up to the task, although there is a lot of suffering and anguish along the way, they’ll prevail in the end. I’m enjoying this series and look forward to finding out what happens next, especially since there are several threads left to follow with secondary characters.
