A cozy mystery that’s out of this world… B&B work, even if there is a faux-UFO in the roof. After all, what’s not to love about a Victorian nestled in the high Sierra foothills?
None of her carefully crafted policies and procedures, however, can prepare her for a corpse in room seven – the body of her small-town sheriff’s ex-husband. Good thing Susan has her own plans to solve the crime.
But is there a government conspiracy afoot? Or is the murder a simple case of small-town vengeance?
Susan must keep all her wits about her. Because the killer isn’t finished, and if she isn’t careful, her fate may be written in the stars…

What a crazy cast of characters! The main character is a clueless B & B owner with an attachment to her day planner. Funny!
This is a most unusual story that will keep you engaged. I loved how the B&B was UFO themed and the crazies it attracted. I loved the recipes at the end.
This was a terrific light reading. The characters were exceptional and i felt as if i knew them personally. I loved that the story takes place in a small town where everyone knows and helps one another. Brings me back to the days where life was simple.
Great book to include UFOs and FBI!!
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, characters I thought were good. Worth reading and I look forward to more books from this author
It’s a UFO B&B with a beagle – I was already hooked because the premise itself was just silly enough to be entertaining (silly in a good way!). It isn’t Agatha Christie, but it’s still PEOPLED with characters that you can like, believe, yet still question their motives. While I had a solid guess on the culprit, I was still wondering until the last couple of chapters.
The heroine, Susan Witsend, is a funny little creature. She’s in turn neurotic, clueless, clumsy, humanly goofy, and completely relatable. She is also funny, kind, intelligent, and completely oblivious to the growing chemistry with her best friend. She is delightfully flawed (read human), with a “Nancy Drew” streak – and an organizer…
Give this series a try – I’m not usually a fan of the “cozy mystery”, as they tend to be poorly edited and aren’t plotted exceptionally well (imho); this is just fun, and challenging enough to keep you guessing.
Light, enjoyable read.
Fun story with lots of plot twists. Not Arthur Conan Doyle, but a really fun read.
This book held my interest the whole time.
I liked the idea of a cozy inn. The baking and cleaning to show all that goes with it.
Added bonus in the story about murder and the many characters it could have been.
Loved it!

Quirky mystery with fun characters. A B&B that has UFO backdrop makes you wonder about the clientele and their ideas about them. The main character is feisty and gets herself in plenty of trouble.
Planner/organizer meets UFO fanatics, and there’s a space ship on the inn! Wow.
Has a bit of everything from ETs, Victorian bed-breakfast, history and humor to developing love. Focus is on the story, not filling pages with graphic sex.
Nice story, enjoyed the characters. Looking forward to more in this series
Sharp and crisp. You simply fall into the characters and then you’re hooked. Loved every minute. Is happy storyline that moves.
You just were in edge the entire book just wondering what would happen next! Truly A delightful read!
Very cute book. Wacky town!
Great book..
