The perfect book to get you in the Christmas spirit! If you haven’t read Jill before, this is a great way to start.
A sigh-worthy Christmas story!
A beautiful story based on a Hallmark movie, of an inheritance passed down by two families. When this comes to light it brings issues that complicate the relationship that is forming between Quinn and Nolan. They have talents that complement the other. Both Quinn and Nolan are fighting demons in their lives and are reluctant to share their problems. But as the relationship develops the attraction becomes hard to fight. I love this story and it being set at Christmas time makes it even better!
At the Heart of Christmas by Jill Monroe is a sweet, clean, charming Hallmark story that reaffirms love is at the heart of Christmas.
Quinn Hardwick puts everything she has into reopening the Hardwick Ornament Company, which has been dormant for many years. Nolan Vesser is a celebrated glass-blower whose great-great grandfather had been part of the company. Both Quinn and Nolan are looking for a new beginning in the ornament company and find a new beginning with each other. Quinn taps into Nolan’s creativity, and she opens his eyes to the joy and wonder of Christmas.
Monroe’s descriptive writing gives you a vivid picture of the town, the ornament company, and the art of glass blowing. I especially enjoyed the character of Quinn’s grandmother and her holiday outfits and jewelry. She was a pistol!
I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I really liked this cute, Christmas story about the Hardwick Ornament Company that seems to have two owners both related to the original company. I liked Quinn Hardwick who is hardworking and gave up everything to make her dream of reopening the ornament company come true. I also really liked Nolan Vesser who lost everything when his home and workplace went up in smoke. Bethany, Massachusetts is the perfect small town with quaint shops and everybody knows everything. What is not to like about Reindeer Ruckus and The Longest Night of Life but my favorite part has to be the beautiful ending. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Such a sweet, heartfelt romance. I loved how they worked hard and supported each other. The support of those around them make you think of family and how much love a family can have. It made me so happy to read this and makes you believe in love all over again.

I look forward to reading more from this author.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from NetGalley.
Quinn and Nolan are great protagonists in this Christmas story of rebuilding a family ornament business. Quinn has inherited the business but needs a glass blower. Nolan Vessar’s glass blowing shop burns to the ground. Can they rebuild a business that their ancestors once ran? I recommend At the Heart of Christmas to others.
At the Heart of Christmas is a charming book that features everything we love about a Hallmark Christmas. From page one you are instantly drawn into the world Jill Monroe is creating, and this book won’t let you go. Quinn and Nolan are sweet are the sweetest, most caring people I have ever read. They have sacrificed so that others may have, and that makes them tops in my book. The ending is so sweet and perfect. I’m so glad I had the chance to read this book.
Thanks to Net Galley and Hallmark Publishing for an ARC.
At the Heart of Christmas is a charming romance. The main characters are likable and the quirky relatives add humor and wisdom to the story. Quinn and Nolan make a great couple who eventually get their HEA. The plot has some interesting twists. The dialogue is natural. I was interested in the glass-blowing process that’s explained through one light-hearted scene. This is a great book to enjoy over the holidays or really, any time at all. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion
Heart-warming sweet romance from Hallmark Publishing.
At the Heart of Christmas, by Jill Monroe, is a delightful story set in the fictional small town of Bethany Springs, Massachusetts. Quinn Hardwick inherited the old family farm along with the defunct Hardwick Ornament Company when her beloved grandfather died. She is inspired to bring the company back to life. She sells her big city condo, resigns from her travel agent job, and moves to the farm. She is now on the old family homestead, close to her entire family. Quinn is moving towards her goal of restoring the family business.
Meanwhile, glass artist Nolan Vesser, has just experienced a severe setback when the building in which his business and apartment, along with other apartments and businesses, is destroyed by fire and Nolan is seriously injured while rescuing the neighbor boys’ dog. While looking for his insurance policy while recuperating with his sister, Katelyn, they discover a deed that had been given to their grandfather for ownership of Hardwick Ornament Company. When Nolan goes online to research the company he finds the new website created by Quinn’s Gram. He contacts Quinn who is thrilled to hear from an accomplished glass blower and one who has family roots with the company. As Nolan is at loose ends, he accepts Quinn’s offer of a job, puts the few belongings he has left into his truck, and makes the coast to coast trip from California to Massachusetts. Initially, Nolan makes no claims on the business.
As Quinn shares her hopes and dreams with Nolan, and as Nolan gets invested in her vision, he tells his attorney sister Katelyn to put the old deed away. But with the poor cell service, that is not what she hears and she files the deed before leaving on her Christmas ski trip, sending things awry.
This is a lovely story with a holiday focus, but the real message is about family closeness, pursuit of dreams, and finding someone who shares your vision of the future. I definitely enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!
This was a festive, cozy, lovely and sweet read.
It was perfect for a Christmas novel enthusiast like me.
What do a californian glass blower and a small town dreamer have in common? Their great great grandfathers work and joy the Hardwick Ornamental Company.
Quinn hires Nolan to help her with the creative and artistic part for the re-opening her family’s ornaments company.
The attraction between them is immediately evident, from the first encounter, but Nolan’s secret keeps him detached even if it isn’t easy to resist to the lively Quinn and her family members.
I’ve really enjoyed Jill Monroe’s writing, the characters are so well described you feel you’ve known them forever and you’re invested in their happily ever after.
