Senior year. My last chance… sidelines. I’m broken because of him. Physically broken.
I can’t let that stop me though. There’s so much riding on this year, and I won’t let anything—or anyone—get in my way.
AT THE BUZZER is a reverse harem bully romance.

OMG this is one fantabulous conclusion to this amazing trilogy!! We pick with Tessa still in a cast hoping to heal in time for tryouts. Things are so much better with her and the Ballers though Lake is still causing all sorts of problems. Things really ramp up as the story progresses and we learn so much stuff that puts it all in perspective. A perfect conclusion to an amazing trilogy that is truly a must read!! I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars. I must say I am really hoping for a spin-off series of their State years but am completely happy if this is where it ends.
I love all these characters so much and although the ending itself was so freaking phenomenal I’m still not ready to let them go!!!! I will probably be re-reading this series over and over!!!!!
I love this series! I have followed Tessa and the Ballers from hatred to love, and now things are falling into place for them. Tessa has her guys supporting her and turning away from Lake the Snake. I have never hated a fictional character as much as I have hated Lake and the things that he has done to Tessa. Especially after what he did to her in Foul Line. That was unforgivable in my eyes. However, after reading this book, I now understand the motivation behind the things that he has done, and though he is not fully redeemed in my eyes, I have a greater understanding as to what made him tick. Hayes is still my favorite for reasons, but I love how the relationships have among the group have developed and the genuine love and affection that exists in the group. Tessa’s dad has mostly redeemed himself after his nonaction in the first book, but it is also nice to see her mom being able to move on with her life as well. I don’t think that I can say goodbye to this group of characters just yet and really hope that EM Moore writes more about them in their college lives.
Wow, what a way to end it!!! I couldn’t have asked for more (except maybe some cameos of them in college!) and I didnt not want this story to end. I won’t give away too many things but I am so happy finally all 4 guys got on board and out in the open. I liked we got time with each of them but Ryan got his spotlight finally (makes sense since he was the biggest holdout haha). I loved how protective he was of Tessa, but also gave her a hard time (in a loving way) and she gave it right back. I loved reading all their first times (boooooy so ) and loved all the romance and the steam. I enjoyed the little blips that EM threw at us (if there wasn’t it wouldn’t be as realistic, which I appreciate in contemporary books), especially with Sloan. I just want to coddle him and take care of him, especially when he loses his snark and flirty side with all his bad home life. Loved Alex’s family throughout all this series. Hayes’ story was heartbreaking and the Chinese food scene made me smile so hard. And Ryan sneaking in, sometimes being all cave man, and them finally coming clean to the parentals added to this great plot. I was shocked by the twists that EM threw in. I thought maybe Lake has a crush on one of the Ballers or even her, totally not close to what was actually going on. I did appreciate the nod to real world issues, also recovery of injuries, and people finally holding people accountable for bullying and mistreatment of others. No complaints from me in terms of the storyline. I just didnt want it to end
OH and can I just say that I loooooved Dawn and wish every woman had a best friend like her. I loved her sass and her quirkiness and how everyone had to help her with sports. Thought her and David were adorable.
Narration was even tougher in this one for Elizabeth. The heartbreak with Tessa’s recovery, the emotional baggage with Lake, the growing romance and relationships with the Ballers (and sometimes their possessiveness coming through loud and clear with one another haha). She did a good job and I enjoyed it at 1.5X speed.
Holy Basketball Champions!!
I love, love, love this trilogy. The story and the characters have me completely immersed in their world and I don’t want to leave. Tessa, Hayes, Alec, Sloan and Ryan took me on one hell of a rollercoaster of emotions.
Tessa is determined to not let anything or anyone get in her way of playing basketball for RHS team. She is going to do everything possible to be on the court and helping her Ballers win the championship.
Hayes, Alec, Sloan and Ryan aren’t going to let Lake or anyone else stop or hurt Tessa from achieving her goal of playing with this this season. The loyalty, love and affection from these guys had me swooning.
I am thinking I’ll read Lake’s story next (it was in the Make It Count Anthology that is no longer available)
Ok I definitely was NOT expecting that twist but WOW. After the first few paragraphs of Game On I was hooked to these characters and wanted to know everything about them. Most was answered by the end. I hope to see these characters again bc I’d love to see them in their futures.
So I don’t really think I’m cut out for trilogys. There is always way more filler then needed and the story drags. Having said that, this book alone was okay, but after reading the other two stories, it was a nice ending.
If you read them all together its a fun story with a bit of heat and action. This story alone was just Tessa getting with each boy (but one actually) and figuring out Lake’s issue. For the entire book Tessa hates Lake; and I totally understand, but their story line is wrapped up much too fast and much too easy. I didn’t care for the ending of the story, it was too cute and predictable. As a whole though this was a nice wrap up to the entire series. I rated this book at 3.5 stars but the series a 4 stars.
5 stars for At The Buzzer by E.M. Moore. This is the third book in The Ballers of Rockport High Series. Let me just say what an amazing ending this was for Tessa and her guys. This book was fast paced, and we were kept on edge. This book starts off right where book 2 ending with Tessa getting hurt by Lake. We are left in limbo for a while wondering if Tessa will be able to play pall. The relationship between Tessa, Ryan, Alec, Sloan, and Hayes is growing and becoming stronger. I loved the way we learn more about all the guys past in this book. Also we really get to see how strong Tessa is in this book . “Careful. Your bitch is showing.” This is one of my favorite lines in a book. I want to start using it all the time. This series has a great ending and has become on of my favorite reverse harems. This is a must read for all who love reverse harem bully romances.
Okay first off I’m bumming this is the final book in this series.. I absolutely LOVED it! So many emotions plagued my mind while reading from cover to cover. I love our girl Tessa gets her men… how many I won’t tell you, but things do eventually turn correct for our Ballers and Tessa. If you like reverse harems you obviously want to read this because you understand why the hell should our heroine have to choose. I’m a #whychoose girl when dealing with the question of who you would choose. I couldn’t and wouldn’t. I would definitely say everyone should read this book especially since if you have read book 1 and 2 then you want to read this one. E.M. Moore is an amazing writer down to her grammar and sentence structures. It’s so important when I read that an author takes the time to edit and she definitely does. Please look into other books by her like I am doing and I can’t wait to read her new book coming out called ROCK ON.
I can’t say enough about this final (hopefully not final) installment to this fantastic series! If you read the first 2 books and you’re worried about it answering all of your questions, the ending, or that awful Lake, then calm your fears. All is revealed, but I think you will be pleased with how things turn out. I fell in love with these characters over the course of this Series, but Tessa will always be my very favorite with her indomitable Spirit and Will to overcome. I do love all the man candy too though (Hayes!). 5 Stars!!
Let me first start off by saying thank E.M. Moore for the amazing job she has done with this whole series as well as this final book that made the whole series even better. Tessa and her boys have a great relationship in this last book with lots of private moments that will steal your heart. As far as Lake he is finally understood and we get to see why he is the way he is and in the end I don’t dislike him as much. Thank you E.M. & BiBi for the opportunity of reading this final book and being able to give my review. I can’t wait for your next series to come out, but while I wait I will definitely be reading more of your already published books.
I’m going to do my absolute best not to give any spoilers in this review. That’s going to be a bit hard b/c everyone knows where I stand on that douche canoe Lake. So this may be a little shorter than my other two reviews for this series. That in NO WAY reflects on my feelings for this book. I absolutely loved it just as much as the other two.
Ok, so we left Foul Line in a horrible way. Now it’s time for senior year to start. Tessa is still dealing with her medical issues from that cringe worthy ending in book two. At least we have The Ballers to start senior year with. Just so you know, when I refer to The Ballers that is everyone except Lake. He no longer gets that title for me. So anyway, Senior year. Now since Tessa was robbed the right to play pretty much all of the previous year with all the stupid drama, she is not guaranteed a spot on the team this year. That means she has to try out and make it all over again. No problem right? Except the whole shooting arm in a cast thing. So that’s one area of drama we have going on.
We of course have the whole Lake thing. The guys have made their choice. Can they really walk away from a lifetime of friendship though? And Lake is still on the team. Technically he’s still a baller for the school and therefor he has responsibilities that involve the other guys. Can they put aside their differences and work together without causing more harm to Tessa? Obviously E.M.’s fans are torn in two on the whole Lake issue. I personally don’t see how anyone up to this point could possibly want him to end up with Tessa. That’s just me though and there are more than a couple people who feel opposite of me. I’m not going to tell you which side wins. What I will say is that I think no matter what side you fall on, you will be happy with the ending. We do learn what Lake’s deal is. Why he hates Tessa so much. And yea, that’s really all I can say on that.
Now the other guys, having FINALLY come to their damn senses, are all about Tessa Dale. Thank freaking goodness. And man do we get some intense times with them. I have to say though, Hayes still has my heart the most. He will forever be my favorite and there’s just no changing that. The other guys aren’t far behind and they all have their own special moments where you love them. Now we do have a little drama here and there but that’s what makes it a good book right?
Tessa also has to deal with the fact that her father and Ryan’s mom are a big thing. They are living together. That means she and Ryan kinda live together if she stays with her dad. Awkward much?? But it also means that Tessa gets to spend more time with her dad with him being right down the street. Can she and her dad repair the relationship that was torn apart in the previous books?
Ok I did my best to give you a rundown without spoiling anything for you. I can’t really scream my love for this book like I have the other two b/c the things I would say will give it all away. BUT I DO LOVE THIS FUCKING BOOK!! I love the whole series. I’m so sad that these characters will be leaving us. Still my favorite series this year. I’m so incredibly glad that E.M. gave us these characters and this story. As sad as I am to see them go, I loved it all and now I’m ready for whatever brilliantness she brings us next.
EM Moore did such a great job writing At the Buzzer!
We get to see Tessa and the guys relationship progress and become stronger than ever, rallying around each other during Tessa’s recovery. And for someone who really disliked Lake, I’m glad we get an understanding of his hatred towards Tessa.
I freaking loved At the Buzzer. I devoured it and was sucked in from the very first page. Such a perfect ending to a great series!
EM Moore did it again with At the Buzzer. Tessa, Hayes, Ryan, Alec, Sloan and Lake. We get to see Tessa and the guys relationships get stronger and during Tessa’s recovery. Also for someone who really disliked Lake, I’m glad we finally get to see why he had so much hatred for Tessa.
