Excellent researching about asteroids!! The incredible way he tells about how those who know about the storm and do nothing but try to save the select few and those who try to do something and save everyone! A fabulous book and must read!!
This is a new author and I think he’s done a smashing job with his first novel. The blurb drew me to this book and the I was not disappointed. It’s different to most other post-apocalyptic books that I’ve read. This story held my interest throughout, and I thought the characters were well developed. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

I do not think people realize how corrupt our government is (it is NOT just the other side that is corrupt – it is all corrupt) and this book is realistic in the matter than those in charge (which equals those with money including CEOs like Bill Gates, Hollywood and both aisles of politicians), not us the people! This makes this book a frighteningly realistic book. While it is not super fast-paced, the action and storyline are compelling and it is so difficult to put down. I am looking forward to more books by this author.

Different from what I usually read but good start to a series hopefully coming soon. It took me a little longer to read than usually as I’ve been sick but I would sit up in bed to read it while sick that’s how it grabbed me

What an amazingly compelling story. This book is hard to categorize, it’s a action-packed thriller, a science fiction apocalyptic story and a military thriller. It is a great book filled with well defined characters, chalked full of personality whether good, crazy, full of inner strength, weak willed or just misguided. With the possible end of the world coming, the true personalities of the characters come out. The book flashes between several storylines surrounding the event. It followed the personal journeys of those characters. At first it takes a bit of time to catch on to how the book is arranged but you quickly get immersed in each of the segments. I enjoyed that this story was told from different character’s point of view. The book is a testament to the survival instinct of mankind, ranging from horrifying to selfless. It demonstrated the range of values and the tenacity of humans to continue to fight on. The action scenes were well described Allowing the reader to visualize what is happening. Overall the narrative was good, giving enough detail to allow the imagination of the reader to visualize the environment. It is a well written book, although graphic at some points, making it more realistic. Technology, not being my area of expertise, I have no comments on the feasibility of the technical aspects but they seemed convincing to me. If you like end-of-the-world stories you will certainly enjoy this one.

Asteroids – Bridge to Nowhere by Mike McCoy is a fast paced dystopian story of an asteroid storm predicted to hit the earth. Rick Munday is an astrophysicist who predicts the asteroid storm in a government grant submission, but, before he can communicate his prediction to the public he is kidnapped and taken to New Arcadia, a secret underground city. Rick finds there is a secret underground government movement, led by Colonel Cruikshank, to build a utopian society (Arcadia) consisting of many underground cities which will survive the asteroid storm. The people selected for Arcadia are only individuals believed to improve the human race.
Rick discovers new friends who alert the outside world of the impending asteroid and facilitate his escape with them. Colonel Cruikshank sends his enforcer, Captain Kobalt, after Rick and his friends as they search for their family members across the country. I recommend this action packed sci-fi read which is hard to put down.

When I first saw this book, I was intrigued by the title and the synopsis. I immediately wanted to read it and I was not disappointed at all! It tells the story of what would happen if asteroids fell on earth. The story was told through different perspectives, such as an astronomer and his family, people of Homeland Security, the president and the government, etc. Even in one scene, the story switched back and forth between the two or more characters. I liked this a lot because you then know everything that happens. There were many complot theories and it was fun and scary at the same time. It makes you wonder if these things could be true and what other things in the world we don’t know. The story got bigger and bigger over time, but it still remains easy to follow. I think it’s because the author is good at explaining things. For example, about the asteroids or how things work and why.
I would definitely recommend this book to everyone with interest in asteroids, complot theories and science fiction.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a real page turner. Despite the size of the book, I finished it in just a few days because I just couldn’t put it down. The characters were well developed and kept my interest throughout. The action-packed storyline made me visualize the next block buster movie. I highly recommend this book.
An exciting, fast-paced, but ultimately terrifying very near-future science fiction adventure, ASTEROIDS: ESCAPE FROM THE ARCADIANS will impel readers to watch the skies while simultaneously pondering: “What information is being withheld from us?” Readers will gain education about Space, the Solar System, and asteroids as well as discovering many instances in history of Asteroid impacts (including the mass extinction event that destroyed the dinosaurs). The writing style is smooth and the characters easily elicit our empathy.
