“I inhaled this sexy, gritty, thrilling new series and I can’t wait for more!” — Lara Adrian, NYT Best-selling AuthorI knew the minute I saw him that Levi Agozi was too perfect to be real. I didn’t care. He came to me, asked for me, and, dazzled by his dark good looks and the bad-boy aura surrounding him, I gave in. Willingly. My father is set to become the next governor of Georgia, and he’ll use … of Georgia, and he’ll use me to get there if he has to. He’ll hand me over to the man with the biggest bank account and political pull.
I wanted something more.
I wanted Levi. And I had him—until I woke up, disoriented and confused, at his mercy. He’s a bad boy, all right. A sexy, deadly assassin. And I’m the pawn torn between him and my father, two powerful men intent on destroying each other.
I might not understand their war, but I do understand one thing: no matter who wins, I lose.

When I finished The Assassin I was so glad I had this book ready to go on my kindle because I needed to know what was going to happen next. And this story was one that had me guessing and guessing wrong most of the time.
In book 1 we met Levi and his brothers and found that Derrick Roslyn was after them, well after Levi but the brothers would not let anything happen to him if they could help it. And after all they went through with Remi, Levi has decided to exact his revenge by taking Roslyn’s daughter. Taking everything from Roslyn until there is nothing left.
What Levi wasn’t figuring on was Abby, even though she was fighting him at the beginning, he didn’t plan on needing her. While Abby is finding out the truth about her father, she is learning that the only people she can trust is Levi and his brothers.
This story is filled with action, suspense, intrigue, lust, a brothers protection and finally a love worth fighting for. If you love a great suspense story then you need to read this series but start with the first book because you don’t want to miss anything. I can’t wait for more with Levi, Abby, Eli and Remi.
**I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.**
Assassin’s Mark by Ella Sheridan is book Two in the Assassins Series. This starts the story of Abigail ‘Abby’ Roslyn and Levi Agozi. The previous book just introduced us to Levi, Remi, Eli and the plan to get revenge on Derrick Roslyn using Abby. This book picks up where we left off with Levi listening / watching Abby to get his change to get close to her to use her as a pawn in his revenge plan. Levi only care for has been for his brothers, he knows he can have no love for anyone else. But the more he is with Abby the more that his walls of hate with no love is getting harder to hold up. Abby knows that her father is a awful man proving it over and over to her. Abby’s father is on a political road by wanting to be the next governor of Virginia and he will use her anyway he can to make his goals happen. When she meets Levi she knows that she is attracted to him and wants so bad to have something just for her, but nothing is as it seems as she will find out.
This does end to set us up for the next installment in their story.
Oh My God I devoured every single word of The Assassin and Assassin’s Mark! It’s definitely a thrilling, exciting, action packed, breathtaking pleasure to read as it takes you on a emotional ride of not knowing which way it’s actually headed. I was held captive as the suspense intensified and the plot thickened with uncertainty, fear, danger and betrayal. I loved Abby and Levi both from the start and knew these two would turn into an amazing couple, both having a strength the other needed. The heat level was through the roof crazy hot! Their strong chemistry and how they could feel the others needs, whether sexual or just thoughts… it’s just a whirlwind of emotions and events that steadily grab you and pulls you in deep with this amazing story. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to see what happens to Abby and Levi next! Oh and I bet Levi’s sexy bad ass brothers Eli and Remi’s going to have a damn good story of their own some day! Ella Sheridan is a fantastic author and has yet to write a book that I didn’t absolutely love! I recommend you read every single book she’s written because they are all awesome!
I love Ella Sheridan’s writing! I read this Series before and was waiting for the audiobook version. Levi and Abby’s story is suspenseful, and steamy! They share a sizzling chemistry. The storyline is intriguing, fast-paced, and filled with twists and turns. Abby is an interesting character, naive, but strong. Levi is a dark character, very alpha. He is protective and possessive with Abby. He is also protective with his brothers. Remi and Eli, are also great and intriguing secondary characters. Stella Hunter and Jason Clark did a great job with the duet narration. They are perfect as Abby and Levi. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Assassin’s Prey. This is a great Romantic Suspense, and I HIGHLY recommend it! #AudiblyAddicted (review updated with the audiobook version).
4.5 stars The Assassin’s Mark is an entertaining, fast-paced, dark romantic suspense. Secrets are revealed and there are twists and turns that will keep you on your toes. This book is full of action, intrigue, and a whole lot of steam! Seriously, my kindle was smoking from the heat level between alpha bad boy Levi and Abby.
Can one fall in love with an assassin – a killer who believes he doesn’t feel emotions? Absolutely! Levi is a character that you cannot help but love. He is out for revenge and he is using Abby to achieve it. What he didn’t expect was to fall in love with her. I love how he firmly believes that he doesn’t feel emotions, but his fierce love for his brothers and his protectiveness towards them and Abby says otherwise. He had a difficult childhood that broke my heart and it is evident how it has shaped him.
Abby is a likable character. She is used as a pawn in an intricate political play with her father and as Levi’s pawn for revenge yet she stands up for herself and fights. Her and Levi fit well together and have explosive chemistry. This book is told entirely from Abby’s POV and I do wish that there were some chapters told from Levi’s. I would have loved to see just what was going on in that mind of his.
Levi’s younger brothers, Remi and Eli make great secondary characters and I hope that they each get their own book. Overall, I loved Assassin’s Mark as the plot is entertaining, the characters are well-developed and likable, and there is the perfect balance of intrigue, action, and steam.
I knew the minute I saw him that Levi Agozi was too perfect to be real. I didn’t care. He came to me, asked for me, and, dazzled by his dark good looks and the bad-boy aura surrounding him, I gave in. Willingly. WoW, I am stunned, I didn’t think this was going to be my kind of book, but boy was I wrong. This book was amazing, even though the (Heroes) were assassins they were very sexy and lovable, the characters were emotionally deep and complex, the chemistry between Levi and Abby was explosive, the sex was incredibly hot, and the story line was interesting, engaging and full of twists and turns. This was a great read and I cannot wait to start book 2.
a great story, intense and different. Levi and Little Bird though they didn’t have a conventional love meeting, you could still feel the love from them off the pages of this darker romance. Great book, it was my first Ella Sheridan but won’t be my last!
Assassin’s Mark
Assassins, Book 1
By: Ella Sheridan
Narrated by: Stella Hunter, Jason Clarke
Ella Sheridan knows how to write romantic suspense! The perfect mixture of thrills, tension and passion had me from the beginning. This is the first book in Levi and Abby’s story and it’s told from Abby’s point of view. Catching the eye of the very handsome Levi seemed like a good idea. But Abby had no reason to believe there was something more sinister than a one night stand in store for her. Levi has kidnapped the daughter of the prospective governor of Virginia. What he didn’t plan on was a spunky, fighter that spiked his passion. These two have chemistry that you cannot miss. Now Abby is going to have to choose between her father and the love she has found. With an intriguing cast of characters, the spin of politics and fear of the choices to come, we have a story that kept me listening straight through!
And to make it even better, we have narration in duet by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter! This is an incredible team. Clarke shows his versatility with playing the bad boy so well. He gives Levi an dangerous edge and I loved it! Hunter is such a rare find in the narrator world, she can literally narrate any character! I love her as Abby, all strength and fierceness that leads to her uncertainty and passion. All felt with the words of these two. Audibly Addicted knows how to cast their productions and this is a winner!

I received an Advanced Listeners Copy of Assassin’s Mark in exchange for an honest review. It snagged me right away. Levi is mysterious, handsome, and sexy as sin, but he just oozes danger. Over time we get to experience him opening up to the possibility of more, and it’s an excellent ride! Abby starts out as a very timid woman who has been controlled with a heavy hand her whole life. When they danced I had goosebumps because you can feel her waking up to what she might want for herself, when she starts finding her backbone and sense of self preservation. Some of the first words out of Levi’s mouth (spoken in that super growly sexy voice by Jason Clarke) slayed me! This story is action packed and will twist and turn you. When you think you know what’s going on, hold tight…
Narration in Duet is my favorite and this book delivers with Jason voicing all of the male parts and Stella voicing all of the female parts. This book is from Abby’s point of view. Stella has such a soothing, sensuous voice that you can really get lost in the story. Jason is fantastic, as always, in his variation between the male characters in this performance. You can easily follow and know who is speaking, which really adds to the story. Get lost in this one and strap in tight because this series will be a wild ride! The antihero brothers are sexy as sin and they will have their hands full with the ladies in this series. I’m looking forward to all 4 books on audio!
I loved this story, it kept me intrigued throughout the whole book. Jason Clark and Stella Hunter did a wonderful job with the narration. I am looking forward to more book’s by Ella Sheridan.
This book really keeps you on your toes and guessing to the end at what is coming next, because I definitely did NOT see any of that coming. This was one very wild and sexy ride and I am ready to hear book 2!
I loved Stella’s performance in this one. She really was able to convey every emotion and situation that Abby was going through. Jason also did a great job with Levi and the other characters. The Duet style narration was perfect for this book.
Holy Moley this audio is HOT, HOT HOT!
I’ll be honest, I’m more of a romcom fan in general, but the opportunity came my way to listen to an ALC of Assassin’s Mark by Ella Sheridan, narrated by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter, and I had to jump on the chance. Two of my favorite narrators, with a well-respected author of intrigue and grit was a combination that I could not pass up.
From a story perspective, this book had it all. Ella Sheridan gave us high drama, passion, intrigue, danger (but not where you expected it to come from), and a hot alpha hero with a heart of gold that helps his Little Bird sprout wings and fly. It was a roller coaster ride from minute one, and it the pace never let up.
Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter were fantastic narrators. They brought emotion, drama and gravel and grit to their roles and really brought the story to life. Jason brought extra growl to this story, and really delivered on Levi’s rough exterior and difficult upbringing. He also brought an amazing, ever-evolving level of sensitivity and concern for Abby. She went from political captive to Levi’s heart and soul, and Jason delivered on the shift in sensitivity. Stella showed Abby’s developing confidence and flourishing under Levi’s care. Really, great nuanced performances all around from these two.
Good story. Quality characters. Very entertaining.
WOW! What can I say but page turner. Can’t wait to read more, I just wish it was on KU nevertheless great book. So hard to write a review but I feel its a MUST READ! Won’t disappoint.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Intense fast paced story line. I liked how the emotions developed and good twist at the end. Enjoyable and distracting!
Twisted and very sexy right up my alley.
This one had a great story and great characters. There was a ton of inner dialogue that I pretty much skipped. Sure, there was insta-love working, but it wasn’t too bad. Overall, I liked it. And I definitely liked Levi. Great bad boy hero.
This book is amazing! loved every bit of this book!
As we dive into Assassin’s Mark, you are thrown into the world of revenge, passion, and raw emotions that a cold hearted man tries to avoid. We are thrusted back into this story right after the prequel book, and you see how Abby comes into play. The push and pull between Abby and Levi is telling. That they are fighting more than just being kidnapper and victim. Their chemistry is evident but Abby needs to fight it. But when things come to light, Abby’s eyes are opened. Not just to the situation but also the man that Levi is. Their pull evident, they cannot deny each other anymore. But the amazing thing is how this story all played out in the first place. There are some epic twists and turns that keep you on your toes and makes you begging to know more! I have to say, I have really enjoyed this series thus far and looking forward to more!
Our heroine is a pawn in a game between her father and her captor. But sometimes pawns get promoted to bigger roles…
I am a sucker for the spy and assassin genre, so this book intrigued me from the start and I am pleased to say that it did not disappoint. The story is very well written with an intense plot filled with intrigue, suspense and not a little bit of romance as well. There are twists and turns along the way that keep you reeling and engaged, always wanting to know what comes next.
The story is supported by a cast of well developed and strong characters which bring the story to life. I particularly like our heroine who appears at first to be weak, but has a strong core and certainly comes into her own. Overall, this was a highly enjoyable read and I look forward to the next book in the saga.
Highly recommended.
