My brother believes he made me a killer. The truth is, I’ve always been different. I can smile while sliding a knife between your ribs—and not feel a moment of regret.Until Leah.A man like me shouldn’t have a family. But the minute I opened my eyes from a coma and saw her, I knew I’d forever be tied to her. A nurse who nurtures life. A mother.I’ve watched her for two years, unable to stop but … watched her for two years, unable to stop but refusing to give in to the need to have her. To love her. Until the night her daughter is taken. I’ll light up the world to get Leah’s child back to her.
And then I’ll walk away for good. Not because it’s the right thing to do, but because I know how she’ll look at me after seeing who I truly am.
She’ll see the murderer inside me. And God help me, but she’ll be right.

“I inhaled this sexy, gritty, thrilling new series and I can’t wait for more! Assassin Levi Agozi has lived a brutal life, but at his core is a man of strength and honor—my favorite kind of hero. I have added a new autobuy author to my list and her name is Ella Sheridan!” –Lara Adrian, New York Times Bestselling Author

Assassin’s Heart by Ella Sheridan. What a beautiful story, I loved it. Filled with dark drama, action, suspense, strong tormented characters, and intense steamy scenes. Great combination- IMO. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Remi Agozi and his brothers Levi and Eli live their lives as assassins and try to go on with their lives as much as possible without getting personally involved with anyone. Unfortunately now Remi is the only single brother left and he seems to be vanishing at certain times with no explanations.
When a past event brought Leah Marrone into Remi’s life he has stood in the distance watching her and making sure that she is ok and safe raising her 6 year old daughter, Brooke.
Yet one day when he realizes something is wrong and he must do whatever he can to get Leah to trust him and his brothers to get Brooke back. Then Remi will go back into the shadows again to keep Leah safe from his lifestyle.
This is another great book in the series and I am sad that this is coming to an end!!
Remi was such a quiet and broody character who had fallen for a woman that he knew he had to keep at a distance in order to keep her safe.
Yet Remi had no idea about Leah’s past and how the publicity she received 2 years ago put her in danger. I was shocked at who all was involved in Brooke’s kidnapping and how they got involved in the first place. Leah had been searching for what was wanted but had no clue where it could even be which worried her and made her constantly run.
I liked that Remi and his brothers were able to start putting things together and got help when they needed it from King Moncrief. I am definitely curious to hear his story!!
I loved how everything went down and the end made perfect sense for Remi!!
Heartstopping action drives this beautiful romance!
Remi’s had his eye on Leah ever since she was “compelled” to help save his life 18 months ago. And it’s a good thing he’s so vigilant, because he’s right there when Leah suddenly needs a white knight who’s not afraid to get his hands dirty. Leah’s past has caught up with her after seven years on the run. The Agozi brothers might be the last people Leah wants to rely on, but there’s no doubt they are her only choice to get the job done.
Told in alternating POV, this story is filled with fiery chemistry, tragic connections, beautiful family moments, and a whole lot of bad guys meeting the Assassin. Leah is strong and resilient, Abby is supportive and sympathetic, and Remi shows that he’s every bit as in charge as his older brother. He’s dark and stormy, sweet and sensitive, tough and determined, and soft and tender; truly a Man Who Gets Things Done. He’s everything Leah needs, and she fills in all the holes in his heart. As much as I loved Levi in the earlier books, I absolutely swooned for Remi. I couldn’t have loved this story more. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This is a suspenseful story about a young mother (Leah) whose six year old daughter gets kidnapped by Leah’s corrupt cop brother (Ross) after she has been on the run for two years. He needs leverage to get Leah to give him something that some crime lords want (that she actually doesn’t have) in exchange for her daughter. Thinking that they will not believe that she doesn’t have it, she had gone on the run but now ends up being protected by an assassin named Remi who fell in love with her two years before. How will she get out of this mess so she and Remi can find her daughter and also have an HEA?! I highly recommend this book.

Taming the Enforcer…
Who knew a known killer could actually have emotions that he wears on his sleeve. Remi does and it’s for Leah and her daughter Brooke. From the minute he opens his eyes from a coma, he sees Leah’s eyes and he is immediately lost. He cannot get her out of his thoughts. The need to protect her is strong, and he watches over her for 2 years to ensure she stays safe. What he does not know about Leah is that she harbors many secrets that could destroy her and her daughter. Leah reluctantly has to depend on Remi to help her from a fate that puts everyone in harms way.
Leah can’t help but be drawn to Remi. He is strong, dominant, oozes sexiness, but she knows he is an Assassin. She realizes any kind of possible relationship with Remi cannot possibly work. I love that Ella Sheridan remains true to this story and includes Remi’s brothers, as they are after all an integral part of this series.
This series is highly addictive and I find myself craving for more stories on the Agozi brothers.
Oh lev sheli!!
I have devoured every book in this series and couldn’t wait for Assassin’s Heart. Well let me tell you, it is amazing! I loved it! Such an awesome series and each book is as good if not better than the last. I loved Remi and Leah and their story.
When you get the chance to read a series and within that series the stories are so good, you just feel blessed! Finding Ella Sheridan and this series is a very exciting thing for me as a reader.
This story of Remi and Leah is “started” in the first book but only touched on as the beginning. With that letting you know they would eventually get their very own book. Their lives are so intertwined but Leah isn’t aware and when she does find out, she wants to shut it away because of her own past. When you have something big happen in your life it can make you fearful to open that door once again. It can make you leery of what could happen if you just take a chance.
When I read their story I was excited and on the edge of my seat because it had so much going on that you were not expecting. I love the way our author keeps the sizzle as such a normal part of it. That sometimes you need that closeness of intimacy to help you focus and truly accept what is happening. That it is okay to accept you have feelings and needs even when there is chaos around you.
A key sweet component to all of this is Brooke! You will truly enjoy what one little girl does to the brothers and the people around her.
