After three years in Credence trying to fade into the background, Della Munroe is sick of being invisible. She’s ready to take back control. To live a little. Hell, she’s ready to see what this dating fuss is all about. And if that means she has to download Tinder and date every guy in Colorado, then she’s up for it. After her first disastrous attempt, she decides navigating online dating would … dating would be better with a wingman, and there’s no better person for it than Tucker Daniels. After all, he is a man. And he owns a bar, which practically makes him a relationship expert. He’s also her older brother’s best friend. Yes, she may have the teeniest tiny inconvenient crush on him, but he’s always had her back.
Tucker Daniels would rather eat broken glass than watch Della go out with a bunch of douchebag dudes only out for one thing. Unfortunately, he’s never been able to say no to her, and before he knows it, Tucker’s not only vetting her dates–he’s teaching her to drive, helping her move out, and buying her a puppy!
But when Della wants him to tutor her in more intimate arts, he freaks out. Because this little sister is strictly off-limits, and saying yes to Della is asking for a whole lot of trouble.
Each book in the Credence, Colorado series is STANDALONE:

Sweet, steamy read with hilarious scenes. My particular favorite was the trip the girls took to Freida’s! A must read!
I am loving this series, MS Andrews knows how to write a sexy, fun story that is sure to make any reader smile and sigh she has it down pat, and this one is so good, I chuckled, smiled and needed a fan as Della and Tucker learn a lot on their teacher, student journey to love, happiness and a fabulous HEA.
Della Munroe has been in Credence for three years now overcoming a past that left her very scared, she is doing well after being rescued by her brother Arlo who is the police chief, but the time has come for her to get her life together and find a man and she wants to learn it all find out what she has missed out on and decided Tinder is the way to go, the first date was not so good and she gets talking to Tucker, barman at the Lumberjack and with a push form Arlo, Tucker becomes Della’s wingman, he is sure to be safe to look after Della.
Tucker Daniels grew up in Credence and now runs the local bar he is well liked and best friends with Arlo and Drew, but when he accepts reluctantly to look after Della and help her, he needs to make sure she is safe but keep his heart and feelings well under control Della is off limits big time for a few reasons, but the longer they are together the harder that is to do and when she asks for help and to tutor her in the ways of a man and a woman he is powerless to say no.
The pages were burning up while reading this one it sizzles with sexy fun and heartfelt feelings and Tucker falls for his best friends sister, she is so off limits, but there is no help for the way she makes him feel and Della wow what she has been through and to come out the other end strong and knowing what she wants and goes out and gets it, and that was Tucker woohoo I was cheering her on.
I loved this story, truly it is lots of fun as well as sexy as, it is a beautiful romance and I loved being back in Credence and I look forward to more visits there, thank you MS Andrews another fabulous story one that I highly recommend.
Steamy, funny, cleverly written with great characters. When she asks for “help” in the bedroom! OMG
This author is new to me but I must read the next book (which I hope is about Arlo and Winona)!
Della Munroe is 25yo, been living and healing in Credence, Colorado with her new-found brother Arlo who saved her from an extremely brutal and abusive marriage. Thing is, Arlo is over-protective and Della is ready to get her groove on, you know what I mean…so she signs up with Tinder but Arlo wants protection for her. Enter Tucker Daniels, 36yo owner of the local watering hole in this small town and Arlo’s BFF. What Arlo doesn’t know and Tucker doesn’t want to admit is that he has a crush on Della. But, she’s his best friend’s little sister and she’s eleven years younger than him. She would never have feelings for him. Right?!
Thus, begins the “re-education” of Della Munroe in the ways of the dating world, which becomes more 🙂 and in secret. Arlo doesn’t know. Many others guess it. One wants to tell…or else. What will they do? I will admit some of the events at the end were not expected. When you read what abuse Della endured, you will be furious! How Tuck gave her unconditional love will put a smile on your face.
I loved this book and it comes highly recommended. Still waiting for Arlo’s book. He’s so sweet. He deserves one. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Entangled/NetGalley. More than 5 Stars for sure!
I love this series! Tucker and Della are awesome. This is a fantastic Rom-Com that delivers all the feels. Amy Andrews knows how to write a perfect romance.
This is the third book in the series and another winner. I had a hard time putting this one down. I loved Della and Tucker a lot. Tucker is going to make you swoon. Della is an inspiring character. She has gone through the ringer, but she is gaining the sense of her true self worth. That was a beautiful thing to watch. I just love the people of Credence. The elderly people where Della works are a hoot. They had me in stitches with their humor. Tucker and Della together are so sweet. It makes you hope they can see what is right in front of them before they let it slip through their fingers. This book has left me hoping there is more to come in this small town. I love this series and I would highly recommend this book. It’s going to make you laugh, cry, and happy sigh. It’s one that pulls at all the emotions.
When I got the chance to read this book I found out that it tied into another book by this author. I had really enjoyed that book so I was excited to read this one. And it did not disappoint.
Della is in her mid twenties. She survived an abusive marriage and was rescued by the half brother that she never knew existed. Now she lives with her very overprotective brother, Arlo, in the small town of Credance. She was emotional scared and fragile. She has never had freedom or experienced a lot of things. The people of the town rallied around her and have been very protective.
After three long year and countless hours of therapy, Della thinks she is ready to start exploring dating. When Tucker, the bar owner and her brother’s friend, finds out that she plans on going onto Tinder to find someone, he’s more than a little worried. When Arlo finds out, he makes Tucker agree to be Della’s wingman and watch over her. Tucker has feelings for Della but he refuses to stop her from experiencing all life has to offer so he tries to push them down.
This story takes you through all sorts of emotions and really makes you feel like you know the characters. I can’t wait for the next book.
I love being back in Credence. This is such a cute series. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to read an early copy of this gem thanks to Entangled Publishing and Net Galley.
Della’s story I was very much looking forward to it and I knew it would be one I would love. Della and Tucker will give you all the feels. He’s her brother’s best friend who she’s been crushing on and she decides he is going to be the one to help her while she gets her life going again. I love a brother’s best friend story. You will laugh, swoon, and in the end fall in love with these two.
This is an absolute must read. While it is part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone. I myself have only read the first book in the series before I started to read this one. But I am definitely going to be reading the second one right away. So I highly recommend the ENTIRE series. It’s the perfect binge read to escape with during these crazy times.
Andrews has a talent for telling it like is. With a laugh out loud presentation and a strong dose of common sense, Della and Tucker take a long awaited fantasy for a realistic spin. Asking For Trouble is over the top enough to provide some long needed escape and heartwarming enough to provide emotions with something to bring on a smile.
Tucker Daniels is an all around good guy. He owns the local bar, is best friends the sheriff and mortician. He also has fallen for Della Munroe, the sheriff’s sister. Nothing will ever happen because of the bro code. Della Munroe hasn’t had an easy life but she is in a good place now. Let the fun begin. She joins Tinder. OMG this was just hilarious. Tucker somehow gets roped into being her wingman. The two of them will have you laughing and smiling. The are so hot for each other but neither will cross the line. A rainstorm hits and all bets are off. The sexy times will make you fan yourself. It was just between them. Nothing stays a secret in a small town.
You are going to love the secondary characters. Winona and Rosemary are a hoot.
I’ve read a few of Amy Andrew’s books and have enjoyed my time spent in each one. Asking for Trouble is the third book in her Credence, Colorado series. All of the books in this series are stand-alone titles. And I can say with one hundred percent certainty that Asking for Trouble is a true stand-alone because I haven’t read any of the other books in the Credence, Colorado series, and at no time did I feel lost or like I was missing a huge piece of the backstory. She did a wonderful job filling in any holes without making the reader feel like it was an information dump.
Asking for Trouble is an emotional journey of one young woman who has been rescued from unspeakable trauma and has worked hard to heal and move forward. After years of having no one to turn to, for the last few years she’s had her brother she never knew about and a town that has loved and supported her in so many ways. She’s also made some pretty wonderful, if not somewhat unique friends that are ready to support and encourage her through learning what becoming a normal young, single woman today looks like. Including falling for her brother’s best friend.
NICUnurse’s Rating: This book tackles the very emotional topic of abuse: emotional, physical, and sexual, so beware of that going in. There shouldn’t be any triggers, but I’m not a professional, so I can’t say that with one hundred percent accuracy. There are a few flashback scenes to fill in Della’s backstory, but they aren’t too bad, in my opinion. What this story does show us is that there can be triumph in survival and learning what being “normal” can mean. And Della does this in a very unique way (but with unwavering support from her therapist). So, what you end up with is a well-written story of survival, finding healing and a new normal, and finding love when coming out the other side of trauma…with a hefty dose of sexy times thrown in. There are some truly laugh-out-loud comedic moments that will have you cheering for Della and her crazy, quirky group of friends that offer her unconditional friendship and unwavering support. And it left me definitely wanting more from these characters!
I give Asking for Trouble by Amy Andrews 4 out of 5 stars!
What a good book! It was super entertained and informative. Even though is treated with care, be aware that there is some triggers topics such as domestic abuse and violence. I got emotional in some parts, but had so much fun reading Della’s and Tucker’s story.
If you don’t love Tucker by the end of the book, I don’t know what’s wrong with you! He is the owner of The Lumberjack’s bar and is best friend with Arlo and Drew since forever. He is the typical cowboy with his Stetson, but he is amazing, good friend, protector, supportive, huge heart and as Arlo said, he is the best guy around. He saw Della return from the ashes and only made him love her even more, even though he tried to denied!
Three years ago, Della found out she had a brother, Arlo, but more then that she had a savior and a family. He was the one who saved her from her evil husband. But now three years later and lot of healing and psychotherapy, she is ready to find her way back to dating and experience life. She really wanted Tuck, but she thinks he doesn’t want her.
Their road to get together is fun, full of angst and the slow burn killed me! At some point I was so distressed with them that I said: can you please talk about your feelings and get together for real??? They were so perfect for each other, it was beautiful to read Della’s growth of confidence, she was so strong and deserved only the best in the world. And Tucker with his patience, support and love made me swoon and his line about love and sacrifice? OMG!
What I loved so much as well, was the side characters! Drew was my favorite of all, so funny! Closed by Rosemary and Winona. Arlo was good too, but he need to learn to let go a little (and he is learning!). And there is Molly and Marley too. I hope there is more books ahead with at least Drew, Arlo and Winona stories. I also loved how the whole town was supportive of Della, I want to live there too! And how fun was the girls trip do Frieda’s? Very informative!
Even though the book is written in a third POV, which is not my favorite, I super enjoyed reading. I loved the ending, but wish I could read more ahead of their lives as well, I wanted a little more of Tucker and Della. Sue me!
Della is an amazing women and I love how she is finally at the point of taking back a lot more control in her life and there are plenty of laughs, awkward moments and frustrations for them both when Tucker one of her brothers best friends agrees to be her wingman. You will laugh, cry, hoot and tut and want to shake them both as they go on this journey, but what am amazing journey it is that is made even better with the help of their friends in Credence! I am well and truly addicted to this series now!!
Credence gets another happy couple. Della was a broken girl when she first came to Credence. Now years later she has morphed into a beautiful butterfly and is looking to spread her wings. Tucker is the resident handsome bartender and her brother’s best friend. He has watched her lose that cocoon and unfurl her wings. They each have unacknowledged feelings for each other.
The antics continue with the seniors running around and the many women who have flooded to Credence. Although this is a story set in a small town it is lively and fun. The issues that Della deals with are serious but are dealt with in a gentle and caring way. Tucker, Drew, Arlo and the other characters form a great supportive network that helps her find her feet and fall in love with her her prince.
Della and Tucker’s emotional story in Asking for Trouble by Amy Andrews, book three in her Credence, Colorado series, was a humorous, sexy, and emotional story that checks all the boxes. There’s the hot bartender, best friend’s little sister, a woman with emotional baggage getting back into dating scene, Tinder disasters, reluctant wingman, driving instructor, and sex shop shenanigans.
Sexy bartender Tucker has watched traumatized Della bloom from her cocoon into a butterfly, wanting a normal life. As Della adjusts to having a normal life, Tucker is the one by her side, helping her, guiding her, and encouraging her; but he drew the line at taking her to explore the sex shop. The scene where these two dissect the Tinder offerings and pictures is hysterical Della asking Tucker to give her sex lessons, even if in secret, showed how far this sex abuse survivor had come. You know Tucker has to be one of the good ones when he remembers Della saying she wanted a dog someday and then brings her one when she moves into her own place. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and they are perfect for each other.
Ms. Andrews wrote a wonderful, funny, sexy and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich that sizzled with their chemistry, humorous conversations, and endearing characters giving Della and Tucker a chance at love, happiness, and a future together. I highly recommend Asking for Trouble to other readers and look forward to reading the next book in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I received this for an honest review! I gave it 4 out of 5 because it was too slow for me at the start. I also felt like something was missing in the end. I know it ended on a high but it still felt like there was just something that could have sent it a tad of the happiness edge. Overall it was a great read about someone with a tragic past getting a happy ever after….and that of course seems to happen. I’m pleased to say the characters are delightful, especially the old folks and Drew. Winona is gonna give some bloke a run for his money soon I hope.
If your looking for romance, laughter and maybe a few tears look no further than this book.
I am not sure how to explain Asking for Trouble by Amy Andrews. It is certainly a wonderful read, being serious but also laugh out loud funny. I did that more than once. The main character, Della, had been recused by her brother from a terribly abusive marriage. There is no chance of the ex-husband returning but the way Della has had to work to overcome the bad experiences is heartbreaking. Still the author does not dwell on the bad but on the huge progress that Della has made, starting this book three years after the rescue. Yet, I feel that this may be a trigger for some, so go in aware then enjoy because the book is amazing.
Credence, Colorado has been the support and caring community that Dela needed. I could only wish that everyone could find such a community. Overprotective brother, quirky residents especially some where Della works and one interested hot friend of her brother’s. Little sister to close friend is a common trope but Amy Andrews takes it a step more. I found myself laughing, cheering and learning how to “speak fluent idiot”! Tucker, you rock!

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Loved this story. A perfect escape for the times right now. Loved Della and Tucker. After getting about of a bad relationship, Della is ready to date again but she is not having a good time at it so she asks Tucker for help. Loved their chemistry. He was really patient with her due to her past and it showed. He was there for her when she needed him. Great characters and a great story. Loved this story.
I read an early review copy of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Asking for Trouble by Amy Andrews was heat, fun and a bit of angst mixed with delicious writing. It had the warm sunny feels of a small town romance. It had the balance of heat and sweet. I had some seriously funny moments. I had the steamy slow burn vibes. Also some heartaching moments.
Della has moved to Credence after her brother Arlo rescued her from an abusive and dangerous relationship. She has mended her broken parts and now she is ready to feel the thrill of intimacy again. But so much time has passed and she has no idea about how to play the game. Tucker, owner of the local bar and her brother’s best friend is the last person to turn to for help. But she convinced him and somehow he became her dating coach. What will happen when they realise they have feelings for each other?
This story has a heavier feel than previous books in the series. Those were complete fun time. But Della had a lot of issues from her past. Physical wounds heal but mental scars stay. Tucker was dreamy, charming and swoony with an edge. Della always had feelings for him but it goes beyond physical attraction. This story is not light hearted but I had a great time with Della and Tucker as they slowly explore their emotions. It’s understandable that they had to take it slow as Della had a lot to process. Another very personal thing: I have difficulty with books narrated from third person POV. It’s silly but somehow I feel I cannot connect with characters.
Asking For Trouble by Amy Andrews made me laugh and cry. It was a truly inspiring and amazing small town romance.
Received ARC for honest review

I definitely struggled with this book. I really liked both characters in the beginning of this story and I loved that Della asked for help. She went through a lot with her ex-husband. Everything she’s been through made some of her behavior even more unacceptable to me. I don’t want to spoil any parts of this story for anyone else but I will say that when someone tells you their boundaries, respect them, regardless of why you think they have those boundaries.
I’ve read all three books in this series and this was the only one that I felt I had to push myself to finish.
This is Della and Tuckers story. Della is traumatized after an abusive marriage, and she feels now is the time to venture into the dating pool again by using Tinder. Tucker is her brothers’ best friend and he own the bar that Della has been propping. No spoilers: this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed, especially if you enjoy rom coms as this is a real treat of a story. This is a fantastic story which is fun, entertaining and humorous. I highly recommend for all.
