After three years in Credence trying to fade into the background, Della Munroe is sick of being invisible. She’s ready to take back control. To live a little. Hell, she’s ready to see what this dating fuss is all about. And if that means she has to download Tinder and date every guy in Colorado, then she’s up for it. After her first disastrous attempt, she decides navigating online dating would … dating would be better with a wingman, and there’s no better person for it than Tucker Daniels. After all, he is a man. And he owns a bar, which practically makes him a relationship expert. He’s also her older brother’s best friend. Yes, she may have the teeniest tiny inconvenient crush on him, but he’s always had her back.
Tucker Daniels would rather eat broken glass than watch Della go out with a bunch of douchebag dudes only out for one thing. Unfortunately, he’s never been able to say no to her, and before he knows it, Tucker’s not only vetting her dates–he’s teaching her to drive, helping her move out, and buying her a puppy!
But when Della wants him to tutor her in more intimate arts, he freaks out. Because this little sister is strictly off-limits, and saying yes to Della is asking for a whole lot of trouble.
Each book in the Credence, Colorado series is STANDALONE:
* Nothing But Trouble
* The Trouble with Christmas
* Asking for Trouble

What a great book! I absolutely loved both the hero and heroine. There was a very serious issue underlying it but it didn’t take over the book or make it depressing. Instead it made the journey and the happy ever after ending that much better. Be prepared to laugh and cry. By the time I was half-way through I’d gone online and bought the other two books in this series and a whole lot more of her books. Amy Andrews is one of my new favorite authors.
Asking for Trouble is the third book in Amy Andrews marvelous small town romance series set in Credence, Colorado. Asking for Trouble plays on the best friend’s little sister trope but with a twist. Della Munroe has only known her older brother for three years, eversince he rescued her from a horrific situation. Now, she’s ready to spread her wings in the dating world again but it seems that the object of her crush seems more interested in being her wingman rather than partner in crime. Tucker Daniels has always looked out for his friend Arlo’s sister since he brought her back to live in Credence. But now he’s starting to feel a little bit more than what the bro code states. Now his friend has decided its best to be her wingman to make sure she’s safe from predatory males. But how does he tell Arlo he has more than just sisterly feelings for Della? Tucker and Della will delight readers with their will they or won’t they romance that starts with Tinder, moves along to sex toys and self gratification, finally to a lot of mutual orgasms and fooling around while trying to fool the town they live in that nothing is going on at all! But Asking for Trouble also deals with domestic abuse and its aftermath and what it takes for one woman to take her sexual agency back and keeping the one man that’s really worth keeping.
I enjoyed every minute of this book with characters so real you feel like you know them and a story that immediately pulled me in and kept me totally involved in all that was happening and I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to my book friends when I got to the end. I loved the attraction and undeniable chemistry between Della Munroe, an abuse survivor, and Tucker Daniels her older brother’s best friend who owns the Lumberjack (aka Jack’s) Bar in Credence, Colorado. Ms. Andrews blew me away with this emotional, funny and steamy romance that left a smile on my face and warmed my heart. “Asking for Trouble” is the perfect read for anyone who needs an escape from the stress of everyday life. Even though it is the third book in the series, I had no issues reading it as a standalone but I liked it so much I plan to read the other books. I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Asking for Trouble, written by the wonderful Amy Andrews, is the third book in the Credence, Colorado series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Many of the characters were introduced in the previous books and you have a better understanding of the characters, town, and backstory of AFT if you do read the first two books, Nothing But Trouble, and The Trouble with Christmas (which I would absolutely recommend doing).
So…there are a few tropes in this one!
**Brother’s friend
**Age gap
**Past abuse/possible triggers
**Wingman
**Newly found sibling
And here is my overall review…
I adore author Amy Andrews! I love her writing style and her character descriptions, and this romance novel is no different! One of my very favorite tropes is Brother’s Best Friend, and although Tucker isn’t Arlo’s BEST friend, he is one of his best friends. So I already knew I would love it. While I am not a real fan of the “wingman” thing or the “I will help you get back in the dating scene-while teaching you things (wink, wink)- but I won’t fall in love with you in the meantime-even though I am crushing on you already” thing…because Lord knows that NEVER works, HAHA. BUT…the way Author Amy Andrews used this trope/storyline to help Della overcome her abusive past was PERFECTION. His patience, knowledge, and listening to her was written with such necessary healing qualities. What Della was put through before, with her ex-husband, is unspeakable and was incredibly life changing. For her to need to move forward and try to enjoy her life and her sexuality and happiness, she needed to have someone like Tucker in her life to help her!
I loved the humor, the different added parts (Tinder, Frieda’s, Eggplants, hotdogs, Betty, the nursing home….), the friendships across the age groups, the conversation between Arlo, Tucker, and Drew, and (of course) the final outcome of the story. I would absolutely recommend this and give it 4.75 stars!
I absolutely loved it all!
Della’s been in Credence for 3 years now, after having been rescued by her unknown half brother, Arlo. She’s been laying low, doing her therapy, both at a therapist’s office and rather unknowingly, at Lumberjack’s or Jack’s, the local bar owned by Tucker, who she’s spent a lot of evenings talking to and has a secret crush on.
She’s now decided she needs to start dating, so she goes on Tinder, of all sites. This is giving her brother apoplexy, and somehow Tucker gets nominated to be her wingman. It just gets better and better. There’s definite heat here, and it’s oh, so good!
Tucker is attracted to Della, but he’s got bro code brain, so he’s really trying to be a gentleman here, plus he really does respect and admire Della. His little head vehemently disagrees with this, and it’s a constant enjoyable battle. Especially when Della decides they need some therapy of the physical kind!
This is a small town with all kinds of wonderful, lovable, crazy characters with just as much advice to be given, bc ya know, small towns are not known for minding their business.
A fantastic read that has humor, subtle or bust a gut throughout, even with a few serious triggers, not dwelled upon, but more like pushing past them, on the lovable journey that is Della and Tucker’s.
A true RomCom, fast paced and easy to read, from the beginning to the end, it leaves quite the impression. You can happily lose yourself in this one.
A complete stand alone with a very HEA, it is part of a great series too.
I received an ARC compliments of #EntangledPublishing through #NetGalley and am giving my honest thoughts and opinions freely!
I really liked this romance between Tucker (the bartender in the town bar and Della’s brother Arlo’s best friend) and Della who had a very bad childhood and a horrible marriage behind her.
Della was rescued by Arlo and brought to live with him two years before this story starts.
And she is now starting to feel open to dating and sex again. She is really attracted to Tucker and he is also attracted to her but since she is Arlo’s sister and also what she has been through he won’t do anything about it. But can he resist her when she asks him to help her use Tinder and be her protector during her dates or when she comes with a proposal that is very hard for him to refuse? And how will Arlo react when he finds out what happens behind his back?
I really loved Tucker. He is such a brooding quiet guy but he is so protective towards Della and he does everything for her to help her through her anxiety and her new adventures into adulthood. He is just so sweet, caring but also very stubborn which we see through his resistance of Della’s advances. And she pushes him a lot.
I had a little difficulty liking Della in the beginning because I thought she acted very juvenile and didn’t think of anybody but herself. She just kept pushing Tucker to the brim and she didn’t respect his boundaries.
I really would have wished to know what happened to her long before we did because some of her behavior was excused because of it.
The other characters in this series are great and the romance between the elderly couple at the home where Della works is so great because we never read about that in a lot of romances. And it is a mixed race relationship. And I can’t wait to see who the next book is about but I hope it is about Arlo;)! He is such a sweetheart.
I can definitely recommend this book.
I got this book from Entangled Publishing and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
4 1/2 STARS!
A heartfelt love story that will have you laughing out loud! With the third book in her Creedence, Colorado series Amy Andrews continues to delight with humor and sass as she brings love to life in this small town romance. Well developed characters and their supporting cast are sure to please.
Della Munroe is ready to live again, and her new-found confidence is fun to watch. I enjoyed watching her come into her own.
Tucker Daniels is yummy! He’s strong and supportive and simply can’t resist the way he feels about her for another minute.
I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who loves a small town romance filled with attention grabbing characters, humorous relationships and enough heart and heat to keep anyone happy!
What fun read. A truly adorable sweet steamy story with of course a HEA. Della is a survivor of domestic and sexual abuse. She survived and was rescued by a brother previously unknown to her and who is in law enforcement and takes his job very seriously. He makes sure that everyone in their small town knows that his sister if off limits. Far far far off lint unless they want enough parking tickets to wall paper their homes with. And so begins her slow recovery and reawakening with a wonderful therapist and being surrounded by people who truly love and care for her in their small town. Three years in and she is ready to get back to living and start experiencing life again which included dating. A woman has needs you know! So she decides to join Tinder. After a few false starts with jerks, Tucker becomes her wingman to save her from herself. So what that he is completely head over heels stupid in love with her. His best friend, her brother will absolutely kill him. He is absolutely sure of that fact. After a drunken steamy kiss Della asks Tucker to become her “tutor” for dating, sex and all that goes with it. Because that cannot go badly can it? Go along for the read. It is well worth it. I adore this series and cannot wait for the next.
This is the third book in the series, but can easily be read as a stand alone. I found all the books delightful to read. Easy banter between the endearing characters, hilarious situations, an education about vibrators and a compelling plot make this a fun RomCom.
Although I did read the previous 2 books, I don’t remember the main characters here, Della, her brother Arlo, the sheriff and his two best friends Tucker and Drew. I don’t remember if the story of how Arlo lost his leg, found out about having a sister at his father’s death bed, about him tracking her down and finding her chained to a bed by her abusive husband and father-in-law, bringing her home to Credence, Colorado and how the town embraced her were in the previous books, but they were skimmed over here. Three years of being protected by not only her brother and his friends, but the whole town, and therapy, Della is ready to lead a normal life, and she has been crushing on Tucker. But aside from her fragility, she is also also Arlo’s little sister, so he has been suppressing his feelings about her. But when she decides to try dating and downloads Tinder, she asks him to be her wingman. Poor Tucker can only be strong for so long.
I read an ARC from Netgalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
.
Steam, Romance and humor, Asking for Trouble is the third book in Credence Colorado and is well worth the read. The characters are engaging, and the story delivers with its heartfelt and humorous moments throughout. I will be reading more by this author and recommend you pick up this book and series yourself.
I very much enjoyed “Asking for Trouble” by Amy Andrews, an emotional and heartfelt story featuring endearing, sympathetic characters. The female lead character, Della, endured a terrible ordeal with her ex-husband but came through on the other side a stronger, braver, more independent woman, and I admired her tremendously. I loved watching her reclaim her life and desires and realize that she was free to create whatever future she wanted for herself.
The male lead, bartender Tucker, was also pretty great. While it was sometimes difficult for him to balance his growing romantic relationship with Della and his longtime friendship with her older brother, Arlo, he worked hard to be a good friend to both of them, and he always came across as very caring and supportive. The slow burn of Della and Tucker’s relationship growth was well crafted, and I really appreciated that Tucker was so conscientious about respecting Della’s boundaries and making sure that he didn’t push her for too much, too fast.
“Asking for Trouble” is the third book in the Credence, Colorado series, and it mostly works as a standalone. I have read the previous two books, but I have to admit to feeling like I missed something due to the way Della and Arlo’s past was presented in this book, almost as if what happened with their father and when Arlo met Della was supposed to be common knowledge. It didn’t make sense to me for so many people to be intimately familiar with the details of what had to be a very painful part of Della’s past.
I understand that Credence is a small town that thrives on gossip, but I find it difficult to believe that Arlo or Della would share the story with someone who would then gossip about it. Besides, as a police officer, Arlo must be able to keep information confidential or he wouldn’t be able to do his job! There’s no reason for Della to be ashamed of her past, and she should certainly be able to talk about it whenever and with whomever she feels comfortable, but IMO it should be her choice to do so. She shouldn’t have to relive the experience just because some busybody in Credence decides to start asking nosy questions!
At any rate, in the grand scheme of things that was a relatively minor annoyance for me, and hopefully more of the story about Arlo and Della’s father will be revealed in a future book (possibly starring Arlo and Della’s friend Winona, whose sometimes tense relationship seems like it would be interesting to explore). I hope Tucker and Arlo’s friend Drew will be getting a book of his own, too. He was just as much fun here as he was in the earlier books of the series. I always enjoy his efforts to come up with less off-putting names for the funeral business.
Overall, I would recommend “Asking for Trouble” for fans of contemporary romance and look forward to the next book in this series.

Asking for Trouble is the third title in the Credence, Colorado series, and this one is full of laughs, some unintentional since I often laughed at Tucker’s response to Della’s shenanigans. It’s also full of growing, trusting, and living life once again as Della steps beyond the initial healing of leaving her abusive marriage behind and starts to look to her own future happiness. It’s such a combination of amusing, sadness, learning to spread hesitant wings, and falling in love with the good guy, the kind of guy Della needed in her life. Watching Tucker slowly go beyond she’s a fragile piece of glass or she’s his best friend’s sister to allowing his feelings for this amazingly brave woman to show through all the rest was pure joy for me. And frankly, if I wasn’t already a bit in love with Tucker myself – the puppy would have been the final touch.
With a secondary cast of characters to make you swoon or laugh out loud (or in my case, giggle-snort at some erm… mature ladies), Asking for Trouble was an emotional story with a real-life feel when needed most, and a fun sexy romantic comedy at other times. It’s hard to put this one in any particular trope for there are actually several here so I stopped trying and simply enjoyed a really good story about two people falling in love and getting beyond the past and on to their future. I’ve enjoyed this series so much and I’m definitely waiting for the next release, it can’t come soon enough for me.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from Entangled Publishing via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
I really love this author and this series. Asking for Trouble is about about Della, an abused wife who was rescued by her half brother, and Tucker, a hot, good looking bar owner who just happens to be Della’s half brothers best friend. Honestly, I laughed my way through about 3/4ths of this book, I absolutely loved it. The fact that Tucker tried with all his might to deny his feelings for Della, while Della was pulling out all the stops to have her way with him made for some really hysterical scenes. The seniors at the home just put me over the edge! This author knows how to write some steamy love scenes, they were off the chart, and I loved every minute of it. Very well written, and worth the read. I cannot wait for the next installment.

Asking for Trouble is book 3 in the Credence, Colorado series by Amy Andrews and a great addition.
Della Monroe, abused wife, rescued by her half brother Arlo who brings her back to Credence. After 3 years of therapy, dealing with the abuse from her former life she feels she’s brave enough to start dating…maybe…
Tucker Daniels, best friend of Arlo, bar owner and has watched Della navigate her life but when she thinks about dating…she wants Tucker to be her wingman and help her navigate the ins and outs.
What happens next is…secret crush, off limits bro code, wingman, hidden feelings, laughter, sexy times and finding their HEA…
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
I loved reading this book. There were some hilariously funny sections that I just had to close the e-reader down so I could finish laughing. I so loved reading Della and Tucker’s story. Della had a tragic childhood and escaping her father led to further tragedy. She has been living with her new-found brother, Arlo. Arlo is the sheriff and lives in Credence, CO. (Oh how I would love to live in this town!!!!) After three years of living with Arlo and bi-monthly therapy sessions in Denver, Della is ready to get her groove back. She has developed a crush on Tucker, the hot bartender/owner of the local bar. After the abuse that she has suffered, she only wants a temporary relationship as she figures that she is too broken for marriage and children.
Tucker is a childhood friend of Arlo’s. Tucker knows some of the details of Della’s life and has been a good friend to her. He also has developed feelings for Della but with her past and being her brother’s best friend, Della is off-limits.
I just became so absorbed into the story and Della’s “coming” out of her shell, that the pages just flew by (except for some scenes that again were so funny that I had to stop.)
This book is written in my favorite dual POV. That really helps me to connect with the characters. In this case, connecting with Della would have been hard if I didn’t have a glimpse into her thoughts and feelings. I have not gone through what was her background so identifying with her would have been hard otherwise.
While this is a part of a series, you do not have to read the prior stories to enjoy this one. I highly recommend this for anyone over the age of 18.
Highly entertaining, heartwarming and emotionally thrilling journey filled with engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and undeniable passion. Really enjoyed this down home, sweetly emotional adventure.Great read from beginning to end.
This book was fantastic!! I have loved this series so far and Tucker and Della holds a special place in my heart. I feel for Della’s situation and Tucker is an amazing man to do everything he did to help her. I loved revisiting the other couples but Della and Tucker totally stole my heart! Tucker has a permanent place in my harem!!
I think that after the previous books this one was my favorite. Della was saved from an abusive marriage from her brother Arlo-though you cant really say saved because the poor girl really suffered. I was so proud of Della having come from such horrible circumstances she picks herself up and decides she is moving on she was going to start a new chapter. Here comes Tucker, now Della has had a crush on him for about a year and since he is her brothers best friend she knows she is off limits since he treats her like a little sister, but Tucker is seeing her as so much more..They start a secret affair that ends up blowing up in Tuckers face and he regrets what he tell Della to do..I wont tell you more I hoped I piqued you interest..

Asking for Trouble by Amy Andrews
Credence, Colorado #3
A woman who with issues to overcome
A man who acts as wingman
And after awhile…more
Will they realize what they could have
Or let it all blow away…
Della is ready to move on with her life. She had a rough four years of marriage, was saved by a brother she didn’t know she had, saw a counselor and knows it is her time to shine. Joining Tinder might not be the way most would go but that is what she decided to do. Tucker Daniels, the best friend of Della’s brother, is there for Della as a pseudo-brother at first…and then things begin to change…
What I liked:
* Della: found strength to move on after a rough time. She comes into her own and is a force to be reckoned with.
* Tucker: a man I admired…though I did have trouble understanding his reasoning from time to time. So glad he finally wised up there at the end.
* Drew: I REALLY want to read his story…if anyone could be a studly undertaker this could be the man
* Arlo: a great brother to Della and a man that also would be someone I would like to see star in his own romance
* The women friends of all ages – they added that little bit extra and I want to hear more about them in future books
* Rosemary’s part of the book – oh to be 80 and as wise and wonderful as she was in this book!
* The smiles and fun and steamy bits and getting to know the characters so well even though there were some heavier issues that were also addressed.
What I didn’t like:
* Della’s ex-husband, her father and her father-in-law. I know men like that exist but hate to be reminded of it sometimes.
Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more by this author? Yes
