This is the end of the Web of Desire trilogy and it will pull all the emotions from you while reading it.
Maddie is with Marion and has learned something that will change her life for the better if Sparrow believes it. Patrick only has one thing on his mind and that is to get Maddie to his apartment where she will be safe and with their daughter. With both Maddie and Ruby safe, the Sparrow men can do their thing and keep everyone safe and the lockdown on the Sparrow tower will be lifted.
Secrets will be learned about Marion Elliot and the troubles the Bratva are dealing with. As Maddie remembers things about her time at the beginning of her captivity, Patrick only wants to exact revenge on those that hurt her.

The ending in this story was perfect and was the only way for it to end. Maddie, Patrick, and Ruby are the perfect families and when you add the rest of the Sparrow family members it only gets better. This story had me laughing and crying but in the end, the tears were happy tears.

Note: Can’t be read as stand alone. It’s a 3-book series. Book 1 & 2 ends with Cliff-hanger. May contain spoilers from Book1 & 2- Sparks & Flames.
The Web of Desire trilogy concluded splendidly with Ashes. It was everything I expected. I was totally lost myself in this captivating tale. It was emotional, suspenseful and passionate conclusion for Maddie and Patrick’s story.
We were left on a double cliffy by the end of book two. About a big reveal concerning Maddie’s identity and about uncertainty of her fate. The third book starts right where we left. Maddie is trying to understand how the new revelation of her identity will affect her life, but now she has bigger concern, to find a way to come out of the situation, Andros has put her in. She couldn’t understand the exact motives of Marion, but she is determined not to be a victim and extract herself from the situation.
“I’m done being a commodity.”
Patrick acted and proved several times that he would do anything to protect Maddie this time. Maddie is such a strong person, what she had to overcome was truly amazing. It’s difficult to read and digest as we get to see what happened in Maddie’s life in the previous years, it’s really heart wrenching, how cruel men and people were to her.
Aleatha Romig really knows how to write characters that you fall in love with. Plot moved in fast pace. Never a single dull moment. Madeline is brought into the Sparrow world and it leads to unfold several truths and revelation. Totally loved seeing all the members in the Sparrow world, how they act and gradually accept Maddie and Ruby in their world. I was hoping to see more of Ruby and
Aleatha didn’t disappoint me in this at all. This book reveals more secrets and all answers. Aleatha has done a wonderful job of tying up all the loose ends and concluding with a blast.
This entire trilogy is a solid 5 stars! Aleatha Romig always writes dark, intriguing, suspenseful, hot, keep you on your toe’s stories, that’s the reason she is my all-time favorite author. Go ahead and enjoy this series.

**FULL REVIEW**
It’s not often I spend this much time reading an Aleatha Romig book…but I needed to savor this one…and with what’s going on in the world today, it felt like the perfect slow-burn ending to take advantage of that easier pace.
That said, what a fabulous ending to yet another tangled series of dark, underground, tantalizing and raw emotional words. I fell in love with Patrick (that’s my brother’s name so it’s already endearing) from the start. He’s exactly what a man should be…strong yet yielding in order to be exactly what the woman he loves needs him to be.
Madeline is another one I have a special place in my heart for…her story, while hard to read at times was one of hope, strength, and a pure will to live…not to mention, sacrifice. A mother at a young age, faced with so much terror, many wouldn’t have endured what she had. Yet, she stood. She rose day after day, knowing that her daughter needed her to be strong. After all, isn’t that what a mother does?
“I wanted you to know. I want you to see me and know that I’m stronger than I was a day ago, a week ago, and a minute ago because with you I can be.”
The connection between Madeline and Patrick is strong and true, one that hasn’t dwindled with the test of time and distance…I swooned and smiled so much reading about them. That is, what I wasn’t cringing about what else was going on.
Sinister, dark and twisted events take place in this last installment. Memories relived, timelines revealed, and motives so hideous one cannot help but feel their heartbeat quicken with anxiety over the truth spoken behind this fictitious story. Romig never fails to do an amazing job of bringing her worlds to life, her characters showing depth and growth…it sucks me in and keeps me glued, no matter how fast or slow I read the book.
The stories stay with you. Just like this one…and that epilogue. C’mon! “Story for another day…” I just can’t with you! *smiles*
I look forward to yet another man’s life splayed before me within the pages of Romig’s webs…until September!
**4 Diamonds & Rubies, Stars**
I love a good trilogy where you are left with a cliffhanger and are counting the days until you can get the next book into your hands. I loved Ashes. I wept for Maddie and loved her strength inside. She truly is a beautiful person inside out. The past she lived through. My heart was shattered by it all. With this emotional roller coaster, you will be turning each page as fast as you can to see what will happen next.
Patrick made my heart skip a beat. Aleatha could have not created a more perfect hero of the story than him. I love how he went through the fire for Maddie. It was perfect!
There is so much I could say but I am trying my hardest to keep this review spoiler free! I need a book support group! Ashes will blow as the phoenix rises!
ASHES is the third and final instalment in Aleatha Romig’s contemporary, adult WEB OF DESIRE erotic, dark, romantic suspense series focusing on billionaire Patrick Kelly, and Madeline Miller. ASHES and the Web of Desire series is set in the author’s Web of Sin, and Tangle Web worlds but you do not have to have read the previous series to follow or understand the current timeline. ASHES should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book two FLAME.
WARNING: Due to the nature of the premise, and the story line content, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Maddie and Patrick) using present day and memories from the past, ASHES picks up immediately after the events of book two FLAME wherein our heroine is once again a ‘prisoner in a gilded cage’. With her daughter Ruby safe and in the custody of the Sparrow households, Maddie struggles with the revelation that her future is now in the hands of new owner who is driven to possess someone else. A rescue by the man that she loves sets a plan into motion to ravage all of the people involved in the past, present and potential future destruction of our story line heroine. What ensues is the continued rebuilding relationship between Maddie and Patrick, and the potential fall-out as Maddie is determined to face the men who destroyed her life.
ASHES is a story of secrets and revelations, and betrayal and vengeance, a vengeance meant to take down and punish the people who continue to buy and sell women like commodities. Targets are exterminated; lives are destroyed but is retribution ever going to be enough?
Aleatha Romig pulls the reader into a dark, gritty and intense story; an emotional and passionate conclusion to another powerful series by a fantastic author.
**4.25 stars**
“Will the life we yearn to have survive the ashes?”
The exciting end of the Web of Desire series! There’s a cold wind of revenge blowing in Sparrow World and their targets better run for their lives. I loved how the Sparrow family protectively circled the wagons around Patrick, his wife and daughter. Aleatha’s done it again with a smartly convoluted plotline of twists and turns that kept me guessing. This is very much Maddie’s story with illuminating past chapters about her sex slave captivity, the villains involved, and their sick endgame. Of all the Sparrow men, Patrick stole my heart and made me weak in the knees. Besides the message of family and revenge, the story sheds a glaring light on sex slavery with Maddie’s tale of courage and survival. There’s one more gamble before it all ends. Poker or chess? Will Maddie and Patrick get their HEA?
The conclusion of web of desire was everything I was expected, the passion, the angst, the romance everything Maddie and Patrick needed was there. I really enjoy this book so much..
Ashes, is the thrids book on the Web of Desire, this book was a little harder to read as we get to see what happened in Maddie’s life on the previous years, it really made me cry how much she suffered, how cruel men and people were with Maddie, it kind of shakes you to ask your self how is it possible that there are people in this world with no empathy, love, and care for other.
Maddie thought Patrick wouldn’t accept her with all her baggage but love is stronger than any past or terrible memories that still hunt them.
This book was everything it has the right amount of feelings to make the story even stronger and with a lot of depth. I cry so much whenever Maddie recalled her past, I wanted to help her and protect her. it was at times painful to see what she went through.. but at the same time, it was amazing to see her happy and trying to protect everybody whom she loves so much.
Patrick was an amazing hero too, he really was protective and putting so much love and determination to save the love of his life.
The only thing that I’m missing and that I was really looking forward to was when Maddie was going to give her final speech, I really wanted to hear her, for me it was very important to hear her speech because I felt that was going to be like a cathartic moment for her, to be able to finally stand in front of thousands of people and tell her story without feeling shame or any regret, I felt like this was a moment to finally show the world and herself that she was alive and thriving.
Great story, great characters, and so much angst and action that will keep you in your seat wanting to hear more and more about this amazing heroine.
I have once again been Aleathea’d.
This book had me rereading parts so that I was sure i was reading what I was reading. So much information yet they all need to be there for the story to come to it’s conclusion. You will be fully invested in this story because Aleatha will have you turning pages and will never want you to book down.
The Sparrow men had me talking to my Kindle as if I was part of the conversation!!! Aleatha will have you thinking as if we know, yet we will never know.
As for Patrick and Madeleine’s story, I love Second Chances, to see what they went through in SPARK and FLAME, to conclude in ASHES. Their love story was definitely decided like a porker hand, you never know what you are gonna be dealt with and hope for the best.
This book was full of twists and turns. I could not put it down. It was the perfect ending to Patrick and Maddie’s story.
