Knox and Harper’s story continues as the Las Vegas lair – and its two infamous Co-Primes – face their most terrifying enemy yet . . . Together, Harper and Knox have overcome just about every evil thing you can think of – from Horsemen of the Apocalypse to dark magic practitioners to Lucifer’s insistent belief that he’s hilarious. They’re looking forward to some well-earned downtime – until Harper … downtime – until Harper is attacked by mercenaries in the middle of her tattoo shop. Worse still, the attackers are trying to take her wings – the ones no one is meant to know she even has.
It’s a near miss and once a furious Knox has managed to pull his demon back into line there’s only one thing clear – someone knows Harper’s secrets and is systematically setting out to destroy her. It seems likely that someone is the third Horseman – but how do they know so much about Harper? It seems the impossible might be true – they have an enemy hiding at the very heart of the lair.
To survive Harper will need to embrace power that’s darker than she’s ever experienced and even Knox can’t protect her from everything – though God knows nothing’s going to stop him trying. The stakes have never been higher, for if Harper’s taken by this new threat, Knox won’t be able to stop his demon from taking a vicious pleasure in tearing the world apart . . .

Knox and Harper have solidified themselves on my list of favorite fictional couples. I cannot get enough of these two!
Poor Harper is still being targeted because of her relationship with Knox. The horsemen know they can hurt and hope to control him through her. Two of the horsemen are dead. Two remain unknown. Enemies and threats are coming left and right and Harper and Knox have more than ever to lose…
I love the gang of demonic family and friends in this series. Their banter is hilarious and they always have each others’ backs. I’m already onto book 4, the conclusion of Harper and Knox’s story ;( . I definitely want to read more in this world.
I have been listening to this series on audiobook. Once again, the voice actress does a great job narrating this story.
Absolutely wonderful book. Loved it from cover to cover. Action packed, suspenseful.
This is the third book in the series and we are still firmly with Harper and Knox.
Here they are once again facing another hidden enemy or maybe it’s the same one who knows.
Anyway, the Horsemen are for the moment on the back-burner as Knox and Harper both face head-on this new unknown threat and with the attempt to steal Harper’s wings as well as other magical and physical dangers everyone is a potential suspect.
This one again sizzles with so much heat and also had some major shockers.
It wasn’t as straight forward as I was expecting either.
I really liked where we eventually left off with Harper and Knox with this one and I will definitely be continuing on with this series.

A fantastic read! Knox and Harper are at it again! I love this couple so much! The beginning gripped me right away and that Knox and his demon do not play when it comes to their mate. Someone is after Harper again or is it really Knox they are after? Hmmmm….I can tell you only that the horsemen are at fault. Lol. That being said there is a lovely surprise in store and that was by far the best yet! Now if we can only get Tanner and Devon to stop fighting and fall in love already, we would all be happy! Great story 4.5 stars!

Favorite Quote: “I didn’t think I’d ever have this. Someone who was mine … Didn’t see it coming.” His face hardened as he added, “I’ll fight to the death to protect and keep what we have.”
“Head tilted, Lou looked at her curiously. “Are you… are you trying to appeal to my conscience?” He snorted. “That inner voice gave up on me a long time ago. Honestly, trying to make me feel bad is more pointless than the ‘ay’ in ‘okay’. If self-centeredness could bounce, I’d be in orbit. And wouldn’t that be fun?”
Harper sighed. “At least you’re honest about it.”
“My shrink says I shouldn’t hold things in or pretend to be what I’m not. He says I should just be myself.”
“Yeah, that was bad advice.”
“And yet, I have a fan club,” Lou said smugly. “Several.”
“You mean you have Satanic cults that worship you.”
“Yeah,” he muttered, seemingly unimpressed by them.”
Review:
I liked this book. It’s fun to see more of Harper and Knows but also of their friends, Devon and Tanner, Khloe and Keenan, Levi, Larkin, and Raini. They are all interesting characters that really add tot he story. I liked seeing them in this book and I hope they’ll get their own books. I would love to read about them, especially Devon and Tanner.
What is this book about:
In this book we continue to follow Knox and Harper’s story. As mates, anchors, and co-primes of the las vegas lair they are very busy. Seeing as both of them have successful businesses you’d thing they have enough on their plates as is. Sadly the remaining horseman disagree with that. Even the death of two of their members don’t seem to hold them back. They are determent as ever to find a way to kill knox and over through the rest of the primes.
As both Knox and Harper continue to be attacked, there is something the Horsmen want more than just Harper, they think they’ve found something more that would give them control over Knox, or so they think. Will their plan succeed?
What did I like about this book:
I like the banter between Harper and Knox. I love that she hasn’t changed who she is. She has changed a little bit ofcourse, everyone does, especially in a relationship but she never changed who she is. She remained strong and stubbern, she remained her own person.
I really liked seeing Devon and Tanner together. I really hope they get their own book, I think if someone can make it work, they will.
I originally thought this book was the end of the series and while I thought it was sad and felt unfinished, it could have worked as an ending but never the less I’m glad we get one more book!
Rating:
4 1/2 I love it stars
This is one of my favorite paranormal series!
I felt in love with Knox and Harper (and their demons) in the first book ‘Burn’ and after reading the third book of this series ‘Ashes’ I can say that I’m even more in love with them! I really love this series! If you want to read this series I do recommend that you start with the first book.
‘Ashes’ is the third book in the ‘Dark in you’ series and is about the demon couple Harper and Knox. The series is funny, sexy and well…..it’s just a great series.
I don’t want to tell too much about this story because one of the things that I enjoyed very much about it were the twists and surprises in it. Normally I can predict very early where a story is going but with this series I’m always guessing (until the end) and I just LOVE that!
In this book, we can read how Harper and Knox are doing, how they are still searching for the other Horsemen. But like always other things are happening. Dangerous things, things that put Harper in danger and that can be very dangerous for the demon world because nobody wants Knox’s demon to lose control and that will happen if Harper ever gets hurt or would die.
I must confess that maybe I had hoped that this book would be about one of the other characters (like Devon and Tanner). But that’s only because I was afraid that after writing two books about Harper and Knox it would be hard to write a new and exciting story about them but I underestimated the writer Suzanne Wright because she surprised me with another fun, exciting and sexy story!
One of many things that make this series so special are the ‘demons’ in this series. Because although they are part of the ‘human’ they do have their own personality and thoughts. (You get two for the price of one!!)
I’m very looking forward to the next book in this series!
Like all Suzanne Wright books, I didn’t want this one to end! There’s another book coming in the series that I’m more than excited to read but I would absolutely LOVE if the side characters each got a book! Starting with Tanner & Devon…hint hint 😉
This book was perfection. On the edge of your seat suspense, nail biting action, and fan yourself HOT! Harper is a total badass that cracks me up! Knox is as intense, possessive, and sexy as always so nothing needs to change. Can’t wait for more!!
Loved this book! Love this series! LOVE THIS AUTHOR!
Sarcasm galore.. I laughed and laughed. Every. Single. Book! 🙂
