From USA Today bestselling author Uvi Poznansky comes a gripping trilogy of three suspense thrillers:
Coma Confidential:
Ash finds herself in the ER diagnosed with coma. She has no memory of what has happened to her, but what she can do—despite what everyone around her might think—is listen to the conversations of her visitors. One of them is the man who raped her.
For Ash, there is little … man who raped her.
For Ash, there is little time to gather clues: blackouts are happening not only in the hospital but throughout California. The Russian hackers who are intent on sabotaging the power grid are trying to blackmail her boyfriend, Michael, into helping their cause. And what better way for them to do it but by kidnapping her out of the hospital?
Overkill:
The last thing Ash expects when she lands in Clearwater, Florida is to be stalked by a troubled teenager. If that’s not bad enough, she is caught in a shooting spree next to the nearby elementary school. The cops think it’s an attempt at mass killing, but Ash wonders if the only victim was specifically targeted by the killer. Will she manage to identify him and have him arrested before he comes after her?
Overdose:
After recovering from coma, Ash discovers that the man who performed her brain surgery has a questionable medical experience and a dark past, starting with his medical mission in India ten years ago and ending just recently, with his wife’s suicide. Should Ash expose him, at the risk of becoming vulnerable to his revenge?

I am a devoted fan of Uvi Poznanski, and keep coming back to her wonderful books. In Ash Suspense Thrillers are three gripping novels all in one, each suspenseful with a wonderful, courageous young character who will stay with you. I’ve just re-read all three, and enjoyed them all over again.
The three stories are: Coma Confidential, Overkill, and Overdose. In the first thriller, Ashley aka Ash is a young college girl who lies in a coma in Florida after being the victim of an assault. Coma Confidential is actually an ingenious new kind of psychological thriller, in which the comatose patient is aware of her surroundings, and we hear her thoughts. This is done brilliantly, with deep insight into Ash’s character and her reaction to the people and events around her even though she can’t communicate. We feel Ash’s terror, and cheer her in her struggle for survival.
In the second book, Overkill, Ash is recovered but stumbles again into danger. She leaves her college life, boyfriend, and home state of California behind, and rents a little cottage hoping for a much needed rest. Unfortunately, the cottage is anything but restful, with a horrific odor the second Ash walks in the door, and stains beneath the rugs. Someone died there, and the locals are close-mouthed. The story then ramps up to a school shooting, and the child of a neighbor Ash helps to save. The boy’s father is killed in the rampage, and in fast paced, exquisitly written suspense, Ash helps both the boy and his mother.
The third book, Overdose, brings more gripping suspense as Ash becomes a victim of a cunning, evil manipulator. In this thriller we finally understand what is causing Ash’s frequent, painful headaches and other strange symptoms. As with the other two thrillers in this trio, the author’s writing is vivid and lyrical, and we cheer the courage of this terrific young character and her will to survive. All three stories are marvelous excitement. Five stars!
A Riveting Trilogy
All the books in this trilogy are gripping, hard to put down reads. The first book, “Coma Confidential,” is a unique, psychological thriller that starts with Ashley Winter in a coma after being attacked. Even though her body remains comatose, she slowly regains her mental consciousness and tries to figure out how she ended up in that condition. As she begins to piece it together, she hears the assailant’s voice. How can she defend herself?
In “Overkill,” Ashley leaves college and her boyfriend Michael for Florida. She rents a cottage from one of her father’s acquaintances and soon discovers it’s not an ideal retreat spot as a pungent odor flows through the place and the rugs are stained. The peaceful life she sought quickly ends when she’s caught up in a school mass shooting. While she protects a boy in the mayhem, his father is killed. Was there only one intended victim?
“Overdose,” is a medical thriller. Ashley is experiencing severe headaches after undergoing brain surgery as a result of a life-threatening accident. She begins to question the qualification of her surgeon, Dr. Neil Patel. As she delves into his past, she receives his dead wife’s cell phone that contains a chilling video. Is Ashley in danger from the surgeon?
The stories in this trilogy are masterfully written with numerous twists and turns. The plots are well-executed, the characters exceptionally well-drawn, and the dialogue authentic. These engaging reads kept me turning the pages through the entire trilogy. Kudos to the author. Highly recommended to everyone who enjoys suspenseful thrillers.
Ash Suspense Thrillers comprises a three-book series by talented artist and author, Uvi Poznansky. A fourth, related book, Virtually Lace, featuring the same major characters, is the first in a different series, High-Tech Crime Solvers. The three books in this collection are Coma Confidential, Overkill, and Overdose. In the first book, Ash has awakened from a coma after suffering an assault and a rape. In the second book, Overkill, Ash leaves her California home to spend some time in a rented cottage in Florida and winds up being stalked by a lunatic. In the third book, Overdose, the plot circles back to the aftermath of the first book, with Ash still trying to recover from the trauma, suffering recurrent nightmares, debilitating headaches, and being harassed by a proverbial mad scientist. In all three books, Ash’s boyfriend, Michael Morse, an expert in virtual reality, plays a major role. Uvi Poznansky writes well-drawn, believable characters. All three are fairly short and are easy to read, with plots that make sense and all three have a good amount of suspense. Highly recommended.
Ash Suspense Thrillers is a medical mystery trilogy that held me spellbound, constantly holding my breath. When I read the books, I couldn’t stop turning the pages, and I was thrilled to find them released on Audible. Now, I could experience the saga all over again as the narrator brought them to life.
Written by USA Today best selling author, Uvi Poznansky, the first person point of view drew me into the mind of the heroine as she unraveled each mystery. This author’s style continues to paint masterpieces on the canvas of my mind.
In book one, Coma Confidential, Ash is a young woman who barely survived a brutal beating and rape. She doesn’t remember anything, including her own name, but she slowly pulls together the puzzle pieces, unravels the mystery, and discovers someone wants her dead.
Book two, Overkill, finds our heroine, Ash, in Florida. Stalked by a troubled teen, she’s constantly looking over her shoulder, especially after she gets caught in the crossfire of a terrorist attack at a local school.
Book three, Overdose, brings the reader back to the aftermath of her coma, and the doctor who originally performed her brain surgery. Something about him niggles at her, and she is drawn into another mystery when she hears about his wife’s death. She can’t help but wonder if this doctor had something to do with the woman’s murder. Again, Ash’s curiosity lands her in the crosshairs of a murderer.
The nail-biting suspense, richly drawn characters, and dark psychological plots will keep you on the edge of your seat as you read every mystery, hoping the heroine will discover the culprits before it’s too late. Written in first person, from the point of view of Ash, these gripping thriller plots, along with Poznansky’s lyrical style, will sweep you into the suspense and hold you captive. I highly recommend this series.
***** I really enjoyed this
Having been in a boxed set with this author before and truly enjoying her WW2 spy thriller, my curiosity got the better of me and I decided to buy this collection. So glad I did! What an extremely well-written combination of highly descriptive virtual technology and cliff-hanger scenes, that kept me reading––sometimes late into the night––and itching to find out what would happen next. I particularly enjoyed getting to know the main character, Ash, who goes from the horror of being in an induced coma to growing into a strong woman who not only defends herself, but also learns how to best take revenge against the forces against her. Bravo. Highly recommended!
Book 1: Coma Confidential is the first book in the new trilogy from this USA Today Bestselling Author. Ms. Poznansky has successfully experimented with a new dimension of genre here, in what I’d call a delicious psychological thriller.
Told from the point of view of a comatose patient, Coma Confidential is brilliantly conceived and finely executed.
In the first part of the book, the patient—whom we later discover is named Ash—can only hear sounds around her. She knows the tapping sounds in the hallway match certain nurse’s and doctor’s footsteps. Fully aware of her surroundings, she can’t communicate. She lives in a dark world where the staff buzz around her, talking about her as if she’s probably a lost cause. Completely alone and confused, she doesn’t know her name or have any idea what put her in the hospital in this coma.
This suspenseful story spins into a wild race for survival for Ash, filled with terror, courage, and a journey that will have you cheering her on.
Book 2: Overkill. Told from the point of view of Ash, formerly a comatose patient, Overkill is poetically written and finely executed, involving new storylines that could have been taken from contemporary headlines.
Ash flees her college life in California, leaving boyfriend Michael behind, hoping for a much needed respite after the events in Coma Confidential.
The little cottage she rents from an acquaintance of her father ends up not being as idyllic as expected, when she walks in the door and there’s a horrific odor and stains beneath the rugs. Who died here? And why is everyone so closed mouth about the history of the cottage?
The story heats up when Ash is caught in a school shooting. The child she protects is a young neighbor boy, whose estranged father is killed in the rampage. Ash becomes involved in the investigation and becomes close to the mother and boy, helping the family wherever she can.
Overkill is a fast-paced, suspenseful and beautifully written tale that you must enjoy for yourself!
Book 3: Overdose. I’ve enjoyed all three books and must say this one was just as good if not even better than the others. I’ve always enjoyed Ms. Poznansky’s writing. It is smooth, lyrical, and original.
Ash is a young college girl to whom terrible things happen, but she always comes through with guts and courage to survive, thrive, and get even with the villains. In this edition, Ash becomes a victim of a very powerful player, whose name I’ve withheld so as not to spoil the story for you.
The characters created by Ms. Poznansky are vivid and truly enjoyable. I especially love the dialog and relationship between Ash and her mother, otherwise known as “Ma.” We didn’t see much of Browney (her beloved dog) in this episode, but I’m sure he’ll be back for more in the future. Love the dog!
After surviving a harrowing ordeal in the last book, where she barely survived a vicious attack and ensuing coma, Ash now suffers from mysterious and frequent headaches with other bizarre symptoms. I encourage you to buy the book and discover the nefarious plot behind her symptoms that has far-reaching, thrilling consequences.
