Cute Story
Not really sure how else to label this book because that was my first thought as I finish it was how cute and adorable it was. It was your typical high school romance, but yet it wasn’t at the same time.
The flow of the story worked well and you could feel how Mallory was fighting her feelings towards Torent. You could not help but laugh at the way Torent was towards his feelings for Mallory.
You could feel the excitement building as you were with the characters as they were trying to Help Mallory with her issues. You could just feel the darkness in the air as you read, giving yourselves chills hoping to help find the answers.
Until Next Time… Tabi
I love reading about Havenwood falls. There is a new story every time. A new secret that you learn, and the need of wanting to read more. I wish this book was a full length novel. I so could have gotten lost in their world. I’ve read the author before and I love her writing. Get this book!
Not having read the first book (Falling Deep – for which this is the sequel to) I had no trouble following the story and now plan to go back and read that one. I loved the characters, twists and romance. It is an enjoyable YA high school romance with a bit of darkness mixed in. Good cast of characters, entertaining drama, romance and magic, and I hope we get to see more of this crew in the future.
I love Havenwood Falls! Mallory is still trying to adjust to her new supernatural world when she must reach deep inside to find her power within to try and rid the darkness that seeks to consume her. Torent, the sweetest demon ever, is there every step of the way. I swear those two are meant for each other. I couldn’t get enough of their chemistry together. Beck is best friend goals for sure! Brooklyn is the epitome of the mean girl we all loathe but secretly envy. I look forward to more of the magical Havenwood Falls and drama from Havenwood Falls High!
More of Mallory and Torent. We learn more about the family feud between Mallory and Brooklyn. Who could have guessed. More growth with Mallory’s powers, and love. I really enjoyed it.
Mallory just wants a normal life, and life in Havenwood Falls is anything but normal. Torent wants a date with Mallory and he isn’t taking no without a fight. Mallory doesn’t really put up much of a fight though. I really liked that he was persistent without being overly pushy. There was one point I really wanted to smack him. haha
Mallory has a lot to deal with and is trying to keep things from getting out of control all the wile still learning to control her powers. Great book with a great cast of characters. I hope we get to see more from these guys in the future.
