Jude Deveraux, delivers an easy to read story. One of the things that got me about the writing of this book is how well the flashbacks are done. She delivered just enough to fill in the blanks and move the story along so perfectly. Then adding in the bit of time travel was just the cherry on top. An added bonus is that the if you love the Summerhouse series, you will appreciate this new addition.

I’m a big fan of this author, and this is my new favorite book by her. Time travel is an often used storyline, but she presents it in a delightful new way.
Surprisingly this is a mystery. However, the ultimate match for Terri seems prewritten.
The reintroduction of the Taggert family is welcome. I remember small town and time travels and the fantasy that was reality. Nate brings the personality back and proves he is the reality needed. You will be surprised by the outcome and the interactions that resolve the discoveries–sound like gobbly gook? I don’t want to spoil it for you — enjoyed it and couldn’t put it down.
Jude Deveroux never disappoints.
Although good and a great author this book was to long and drawn out. To go back in time, so unrealistic, but made me sad that I too would love to see and visit with lost family.
Great read kept me wanting to turn pages faster
Was happy to read the 3rd book in this series. Kept me coming back and ready to finish = enjoyed no end. Have read other books of hers – this is one of the best.
It was an interesting twist on time travel. I enjoyed learning about each woman and liked the happy ending each one received.
I love time travel books and this was a really fun twist on the theme. I mean, who wouldn’t like the opportunity for a do-over? This is the third book in the series and the first two are worth the read as well.
I was enjoying it very much but it became a bit lengthy. Then I realized it was going into time travel which isn’t my thing. But I finished it as I was invested in the characters.
I just love the whole Summerhouse series!! I think everyone who reads these books wonders what it would be like to get that opportunity to go back & change the past, & hence, their future. I Love the changes that the characters make, & how that affects their lives. I read these books again & again!! Delightful!!
love her time travel books. This is the third in the series. Loved all 3!
Enjoy just about all of Jude Devereax’s books.
I liked the characters but it was a little fanciful for me . Not realistic
I didn’t want to finish this book because it was sooooo long winded. There was so much history of their lives given before they could work on the present and the future.
It was also just so repetitive that it became a chore to read and that is so unlike this author’s work. The first two books I. This series was delightful, I loooved them, this one not so much.
I don’t recommend this book.
AS YOU WISH by Jude Deveraux is the first book I’ve read by this author. The prologue drew me in from the very first page. The story is about three women who each were in loveless marriages, and they all end up at an isolated estate for a weekend to sort out their lives.
Olivia is in her 60s, Kathy in her 30s and Elise in her 20s. They’ve each dedicated their lives to the men they married. Olivia’s first husband died, and she’s married her first love, but things aren’t perfect. Kathy and Elsie want out of their marriages.
As the book progresses, we learn about each woman and her life. I expected a traditional solution, but the author tossed in an unexpected twist—time travel. It was a little jarring as I wasn’t prepared for it, but it was a unique turn and I liked it.
Each woman is given the choice to go back to a specific point in time for three weeks to change the course of her life. They each go to a time before their marriage, and the choices they make are surprising.
My only complaint was Olivia’s anger at times felt forced.I kept thinking, why don’t you just say you’re angry and explain why? All in all, AS YOU WISH is three love stories in one, and each has satisfying ending.
I felt the book was too “wordy”. It was ok, I finished it but at times I wanted to stop. Too much talk and talk and talk.
I generally like her books. You you enjoy fantasy you’ll enjoy the book. It’s not one I’d read again.
Kind of sweet; nice romance
I have really enjoyed reading this entire Summerhouse trilogy. As You Wish is the third installment. Each book is just as good as a standalone, though.
The theme of going back in time and changing something that will affect your future life is very intriguing. And each book delves into the bonds between women, as well.
I recommend this series to everyone.
