She yearns to take a leap back into his arms—but only if he can convince her they’ll make it to forever this time. With a life as a ballerina in New York City—and the freedom she craved while growing up in a small Southern town—Quinn Reynolds seems to have everything she’s ever wanted. But it’s all built on a painful past she can’t outrun. Desperate to make peace with her ghosts, she goes home … goes home for a visit.
Back in the town she once loved, Quinn tries to rebuild the relationships she destroyed when she fled, which may be harder than she realized. And her life gets more complicated when Jonah Walker returns, reminding her of the love she’s never been able to forget.
Or experience with anyone else since him.
Jonah Walker became someone he didn’t recognize when he left his hometown to escape his anguish over losing Quinn. He kept his family at arm’s length and became a shell of his former self. But if he hopes to find redemption, he has to own his mistakes—especially if he wants another chance with Quinn.
Together, they struggle to forgive and create a new future. But Quinn could lose Jonah forever if they can’t overcome their past and the obstacles ahead of them.

I instantly connected with Quinn and Jonah. I low key cried pretty much through the entire book. I’m a fool for a second chance romance and loved that both characters grew so much from start to finish. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
This was an awesome book from beginning to the end. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flowed smoothly.

A touching and emotional story of a second chance at love. You’ll feel like you know the characters as well as you know your own family. The story line flows well and keeps the readers attention. Caution, you may lose sleep or not get things done when you read this book because you won’t want to put it down until you finish it.

This one just turned me on my head. Several times. Bittersweet feelings laced with fear, frustration, and hope. That is As You Turn Away all summed up in just a few words. It isn’t a fair representation though because there is so much more. Family, friendship, mortality, and the truth about love and strength are just a few of the layers in this story…and it’s book one.
If you want a book to hit you in the feels you need to read this one.
this was a really great book! she is back in her hometown after she left years ago. people change and things are not the same. she runs into her ex who owns her heart. read to find out what happens.
Quinn comes home to visit after being away for 4 years after a huge fight and break up with the love of her life, Jonah Walker. Jonah also came home after going to school for 4 years, the same reason that Quinn left, he wants to mend fences with his family. They accidentally meet, both know that they still have the connection like when they were first together. Quinn is scared of her feelings, and ends of having a panic attack that Jonah helps her thru but she runs away from him. After having a fight with her mother at a restaurant, and then having her parents argue in the car on the way home, they are in a car accident. Running from your feelings hurts everyone a round you in different ways, and learning from those actions can bring two people together again. But it can be a hard, difficult thing to do. Molli Moran brings a wonderful book about love lost, forgiveness, family , and love found. She also introduces the other members of the Walker family , giving us a head start for the following books.
As You Turn Away is a powerful, satisfying small town second chance romance . Quinn’s dreaded visit to her parents takes a tragic turn and she remains in her hometown for an extended stay. This forces her to face Jonah (who returns from college for a long-time coming reunion with his family), her high school sweetheart who she ran out on and broke his heart. Jonah believes “it is as simple as leaving the past where it belonged and moving on, toward a new. better future. This emphatically written story takes us through Jonah and Quinn’s not so simple journey as they deal with their past, realize it’s not what defines them and move on. Quinn’s story annoyed me- she was willing to throw her love away because of her overbearing Mother. The big secret of why she left everything behind seemed lame. The Walker family on the other hand saved the story- their love for one another- their bickering and teasing was heartwarming and I can’t wait to read the other Walker Boys novels.
A sweet second chance romance full of love, forgiveness and courage. I enjoyed the story and the characters as they worked on rebuilding their relationship together.
This was a fantastic heartwarming story about second chances and redemption. Quinn fled to New York to pursue her dream of being a ballerina to escape her past. Jonah hasn’t been the same since he lost the love of his life. Destiny however gives this star crossed couple a second chance to get it right. As You Turn Away is filled with heartache, trials, healing, forgiveness, second chances, passion, and love. Molli Moran has created a sweet captivating story that readers will fall in love with and won’t want to put it down. I really loved this book.

I started this last month but put it on hold because it was making me a big ball of sad. Now that I picked it back up, I’m glad I finished it. It’s a great second chance story with a side of anxiety and depression. I thought how it was talked about and covered was really well written. I definitely related to Quinn in a big way. I was digging the other Walker brothers so I might be checking out the other books by this author.
She wants to get back with him but it must be for the long term. Can she get him to come back to her? Will he get back with her or will he string her along again? Follow them and see just where they will take you

The storyline was well written and the characters were so well rounded that as I turned each and every page I felt like Quinn and Jonah jumped from the pages and pulled me right into their story as it unfolded!
The first book in The Walker Boys series this is Quinn Reynolds and Jonah Walker’s story about a second chance when they both come back to their hometown. I enjoyed reading how these two come back together and everything that Quinn has to go through so they can get their happy ending.
