“This is Bella Andre at her finest! I love Elderflower Island, the bookshop, and Mari and Owen!” ~ 5 stars from BobbieAll Mari Everett’s life, she’s had two secret dreams: To own a bookstore, and to reunite with her long lost father. But when he passes away unexpectedly and she inherits his home and business, the only way she can learn about his life–especially why he abandoned her when she was … her when she was three and never came back–is by leaving California to take over his bookstore in London.
Owen Sullivan lives and works on Elderflower Island, a close knit community in London where it’s impossible to keep a secret. It turns out, however, that Charlie Forsythe kept his daughter a secret from everyone for nearly thirty years. When Mari comes to London, Owen immediately falls for her. He’s never met a woman so intelligent, determined and honest. Not to mention so beautiful that she takes his breath away.
Soon, everyone on the island–including Owen’s four siblings, parents and grandmother–is pitching in to help give the bookstore a fresh start. But as insatiable passion develops into love, will Mari and Owen be able to grab hold of their fresh start? Or will their pasts continue to cast a dark shadow over their chance at a brilliant future together in London?

What a wonderful one sitting read! This was such an easy and lovely book to read. I love Elderflower Island and the bookshop as well as Mari and Owen. The entire premise of the book was such an interesting one for me as I am a voracious reader and have worked at Independent bookstores. The aspect of a father whom she hadn’t seen in twenty plus years and how this story evolved made it a joy to read. This is Bella Andre at her finest!
As an avid reader, a story that involves a guy with a British accent (swoon) and owning a book shop (heaven) is perfection personified. Meeting & getting to know a new group of Sullivan’s is brilliant. The characters are so vibrant and relatable.
Most children regardless of age want their parents approval. They don’t want their parents to be disappointed in them or the choices they make.
Can’t wait for the next installment of the London Sullivan’s
As Long As I Have You is phenomenal. Bella Andre has captivated me with this book. A definite one click book that you need to get. A beautiful love story.
Ms. Andre has given the public the perfect stretched out & prolific family in the Sullivans. Now we get to enjoy another sexy man in Owen Sullivan & he’s the first from the family in London. Owen works as his grandmother’s agent/manager with her literary career. Mari is an accountant from California & is called to London when her estranged father dies & leaves her as the only heir to an older bookstore. Mari has had abandonment issues since her father left when she was only three. Now, she has the chance of a lifetime – living in London & running a bookshop.
I loved how Mari’s heart wouldn’t allow her to just dismiss her father, even though he’d abandoned her. By going & looking at his shop, she was able to find some answers. Owen had his family & his career but was battling guilt that he wasn’t there when his grandmother needed him most. Mari is battling guilt that she didn’t search out her father when she had the chance. Owen believed, like his father that he’d know the right one when he saw her but Mari was a little slower to come around.
I am so excited to read about the Sullivan’s again. This part of the family lives in London. I felt bad for Mari as she hasn’t seen her father since she was three years old, and her mother kicked him out. Mari has always hoped he would get in touch with her. She could never ask her mother anything about him as her mother can’t stand him. Her step father has been wonderful to her and she has an older step brother Carson that she loves.
Mari is told her father has passed away and she has inherited his book store and apartment on Elderflower Island in London. Now Mari will never know why her father never contacted her, but she is excited about the bookstore since she has always wanted to own one. Her mother is not happy when Mari tells her she is flying over to London to take care of her father’s affairs. Here she meets Owen Sullivan on the first day and there is a connection between the two. I loved how Ms Andre wrote about the small community and the places in London I would love to visit. She brought everything to life so I could also visit there without leaving home! Owen is a loving, caring and helping person to his family, friends, and community. It was so much fun watching the two fall in love. The people in that community were wonderful and so helpful. I loved the bookstore and want to go sit there and read books! Mari was able to see another side of her father through his bookstore as well as the people in the community. This is such a heartwarming story that I strongly encourage you to read it. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
As Long as I Have You by Bella Andre
EEK!! The Sullivans are back!!! I was so excited when I heard that the next Bella Andre book to be released would be another Sullivan Series book. I was even happier when I heard it was going to be the 1st book in the London branch of the Sullivan family, and I couldn’t wait for it to hit my ereader. I first fell in love with Ms. Andre’s writing when The Look of Love (San Francisco branch) the very first book of the Sullivan series was recommended to me by a friend. I have been hooked on Bella Andre and this series ever since.
I absolutely LOVED the story of Mari and Owen for oh so many reasons. First, because of Ms. Andre’s way of telling a story. She ALWAYS sucks me in from the very beginning of one of her books. I know to always start one of her books on a day off, because I know I am not going to be able to put it down once I start it. As Long as I have You was not exception, I read straight thru the night, doing an all-nighter. Second: I got to see a part of London thru Ms. Andre’s story. Her ability to bring the scenery to life. My gosh, I so want to go to Elderflower Island. Third: the emotions brought out in this book, I laughed, cried, and angry at several characters. I totally understood why they did what they did, but I was still angry at them for Mari’s sake. I think I cried the hardest when Mari opened the boxes in the closet and really started to realize just how much… stop! Sorry Ladies, I refuse to give any spoilers away. Oh, and then the journals…. The tears flowed there too and now as I am thinking about them.
Darn you, Bella Andre for introducing me to my new book boyfriend, only to rip him out of my hands to give to someone else! Owen Sullivan…sigh. I think he has become one of my favorite Sullivans. I fell for him from the very beginning. He also had a demon of his own, and no, you need to read this phenomenal book to find out what it is. It just shows that Sullivans are indeed “real” and “human” after all.
I was gifted with a copy of this wonderful book for my reading pleasure and for my opinions regarding the book for which I am eternally thankful.
So, I my honest opinion, if you love to read emotional, fun loving, stories about take no prisoners hero and heroines, this book is certainly for you. I freaking loved every word!!! I cannot wait for this book to be released in audio form, because I will most definitely be buying that version as well.
Thank you for reading my review.
I’m not sure why I was so captivated by this book and with Owen and Mari. Maybe it’s because it’s every reader’s dream to own a bookstore in a wonderful, charming place with such welcoming characters or because Owen was almost too good to be true. It doesn’t really matter why, it was just a good, relaxing read and meant to take you away.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
Mari has not seen her father since she was 3 years old.
Now, he is gone, and he left her a bookstore in Elderflower Island.
Mari goes to London to take care of her father’s affairs.
Enter Owen Sullivan!
Owen is part of the London branch of the Sullivan Clan.
One look at Mari, and Owen was lost.
Now, they work together to revive the bookstore.
I have to say that I would love to visit Elderflower Island, if it was a real place.
It was such a warm community.
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
This was such a fun book with a heroine, Mari, who simply loved books–isn’t that awesome?! After her father dies and his possessions pass the her, Mari goes to England to discover who her father was and who she truly yearns to be. Owen is immediately smitten with Mari when he goes to welcome her to town on behalf of Charlie, her father, and the urging of his grandmother. This was a delightful, sweet story of discovery, friendship, family and love!!
I found it very east to fall in love with this book and its characters. This emotional romance captured my heart with Mari and Owen’s story. I thought that these two were perfect together. I felt really bad for Mari because regrets are so hard to live with. I thought Owen was just an all around good guy and in my opinion a very swoon worthy book boyfriend. The storyline is filled with intense emotions and sweetness. A powerful romance that will definitely tug on your heartstrings.
Readers are in London, were Mari has inherited a bookstore, a dream she wanted, a Legacy from a father, who she though had been dead for years. A new family and even a love to welcome her here. Will she return to California were her mother and stepfather live.
The characters of Mari and Owen were good. As was the feeling of love from the tight knit community. Another winner from the author.
Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
As Long As I Have You is a wonderful, sweet romance that has you remembering why you love Bella Andre’s stories. Mari and Owen were wonderful together and has you falling for them. What a great start to a new series.
Another Sullivan story! All the love, family and togetherness feelings we’ve gotten in all the other stories kept on in this one. Which was really a great thing because Mari needed it. Thinking her father completely abandoned her, and her mother not at all supportive of her decision to take on her dad’s book store would make anyone feel a bit lost and a lot lonely. But true to Sullivan form… You get one, you get them all! Loved the story is Owen and Mari pulling each other out of the boring and unfulfilling existence they’ve been in for some time now. So sweet!!!
Mari Everett loves books and has always dreamed of opening her own bookstore. When her long lost father passes away she inherits his bookstore. Now is her chance to make her dream come true. One look and Owen Sullivan knew he met the woman of his dreams. Now to help Mari realize her dream and his as well.
What a beautiful story about finding out about lost loves and realizing your dreams!!!
I was really glad that we didn’t lose that strong sense of family and friendship that comes along with the Sullivan clan. US or UK, the Sullivan bond is strong.
I felt badly that Mari did not get to know her father as an adult. While it was really sad, it was nice she had some memories of him. I loved the way Mari embraced her adventure and made it a reality. I liked Owen, and felt their connection. His support of Mari’s plans and dreams were sweet.
I didn’t get any feelings of intense passion from Mari and Owen’s relationship. There was a slow, sensual buildup, but I didn’t sense any heat behind it. I felt like the book focused more on Mari’s father, Charlie, and his life on Elderflower Island, Charlie and Mari’s lack of a relationship, and Mari’s mother’s inability to let go of the past. I felt that was truly sad for her mother to have the intensity of feelings about the incident with Charlie for so many years.
I am looking forward to the rest of the London Sullivan’s, which hopefully will include a book about Mari’s stepmother Carson.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book received from the author.
Bella Andre knows how to write romance. A reader can’t go wrong with As Long As I Have You. It might be love at first sight but the author has a way of taking the now and making it WOW.
I am so stoked that I get to fall for another Sullivan family, even better I get to go home to England without leaving the comfort of my chair.
Mari has been a little lost since her day left her at age 3. She dreams of one day going to England and seeing her dad, discovering the why’s. One phone call closes that door but opens another door. Without a solid plan, Mari flies to the Elderflower Island, London, England to a bookshop she now owns. The only way to get to know her dad is to take over the shop and flat.
Mari is staring at a disaster left by an ill man. A man she didn’t know. A man that never told the villagers of his daughter in America. Owen Sullivan walking into the shop begins a journey to become whole. It takes a village to raise a child, even a full grown lady that has never been whole.
The characters are a joy. The author has painted a wonderful picture of the village and its quaint shops. My mouth drooled over their afternoon teas and dinners. My heart beat loudly for the growing attraction between Mari and Owen. Their relationship was a fantastic way to learn more about both of the characters and to see how well they fit.
I can’t wait to add more of the London Sullivans to my library.
This is another branch of the Sullivans Family that live in
the UK.
Mari has just found out her father has past away and left
his bookshop to her in the UK. When she arrived from the US
she found the shop and apartment was in disarray state.
This is where Owen comes into the book he came over the day
Mari arrived and couldn’t take a his eyes off of her.
To find out what happens you will have to read the book for yourself.
Sweet plot and another part of the Sullivans family we are going to fill
Like we know.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
The Sullivans are back!! This is such a sweet and wonderful story about love, family and really going for what makes you happy! I am so excited to get a whole new batch of Sullivans to fall in love with and lucky for us this time they live across the pond. Bella Andre blends her amazing words with a treat of fantastic descriptions of places in London I would love to go some day. These characters are so incredible and real. I adore Owen and Mari! And all the other Sullivan’s we meet in this book too. Owen is a fantastic hero to start with! I could just hear his sexy British accent as I was reading. This is one seriously swoonworthy man! He is so giving, caring and special it’s impossible not to fall in love him. Mari is a delight! She is so brave to go on this adventure from her comfort zone in California to Elderflower Island in London to settle up her recently deceased father’s estate. It all ends up being such an eye opening and life changing experience for her and Owen. She lights up his life! Learning about her father through all of the people he interacted with daily sure changed her frame of reference for him. And the kindness Owen and his family show her allows her to realize her dreams and finally be content and happy with her life.
I loved everything about this story from start to finish. I can’t wait to read about more of this branch of the Sullivan family!
This is such a great book!
An exciting start to the
London Sullivan’s stories!
I truly enjoyed reading it!
It’s a captivating & moving story.
Everything you want in a true romance.
Owen Mari, steal your heart
from the very first pages to the last.
It has the small town charm & the comfort
of friends & family.
I loved everything about this Must
Read Story!!
I’ve always wanted to visit London, now I have seen it through the eyes of Owen and Mari. What a wonderful trip it was. I love the sweet, immediate, acceptance of attraction that both Owen and Mari experience upon meeting one another. They don’t fight it. They embrace it and that made for a lot of the appeal for me. So many times the characters fight it or make decisions for the other thinking they know best. This was an awesome change of pace.
Marina has been separated from her father since she was 3 due to an awful error of judgement. She has always wondered why. After learning of his passing she goes to London to deal with his estate. Mari is completely blindsided when on her first day she meets handsome and oh so sweet Owen Sullivan. Own manages his Gran’s literary career as a mystery writer. Upon finding Mari in her father’s flat, Own is just swept away by Mari. With the help of Mari, Owen finds the strength to discuss a very difficult topic with his Gran.
Totally love the writing of Bella Andre. A very large family saga such as The Sullivan’s is one of my favorite troupes. Totally recommend a trip across the pond to meet the London Sullivans. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. 5 stars*****
