You can practically hear the Indiana Jones theme song when you crack the first page of this USA TODAY bestseller. The suspenseful, mysterious, and romantic come together in the exotic world of treasure hunts… in a Scottish legend from the days of the British Raj.
But she’s not the only one on the trail.
From San Francisco to the Highlands of Scotland, Jaya must evade a shadowy stalker as she follows hints from the hastily scrawled note to a remote archaeological dig.
Helping her decipher the cryptic clues are her magician best friend, a devastatingly handsome art historian with something to hide, and a charming archaeologist running for his life.
When a member of the dig’s crew is murdered, Jaya must figure out which of the scholars vying for her affections might be the love of her life—and which one is a killer.
Pick up this scene-stealer before the adventure passes you by.

This first book in the series about Jaya Jones, historian, is an action-filled, romantic adventure/mystery, with an Indiana-Jones-type heroine who is the product of an American hippie dad and and a mother from Indian. Love this author
Interesting new heroine. Tough, smart and engaging.
I enjoyed this book It was action packed and the main character was well written. will read more in this series.
Enjoyable, even the history lesson. Great characters and plot.
I found the heroine delightfully frustrating.
Very interesting and very enjoyable characters…. Looking for more books in the series.
Kept me wondering who the bad guy/gal was.
good read. enjoyed.
I never finished this book. It wasn’t very engaging, and I didn’t care about the characters.
Keeps you guessin
I would give this 3.5 stars. The history was interesting & overall the story was too, but I really wanted her ex to fall into the sea by the time it was over.
Despite the obvious tip of the hat to Indiana Jones, the story was better than I expected. More whodunnit than archeological mystery. Plenty of room for characters to evolve. I’ll read the second book then decide whether to continue with the series.
Really liked it. Was very interested in the Celtic mythology. Gave. Lot of information bout history
