Charming, heartwarming story with engaging characters and a well-written story that pulled me in immediately and kept me totally immersed is all that was happening and I wasn’t ready for the story to end when I got to the last page. I really liked the sweet and tender love story between AJ Wyatt, an artist who moves back to the small mountain town of Serenity Falls, Colorado, to work in the family business and Cody Woods, her former classmate and now owner of a great new coffeehouse, The Daily Grind. If you enjoy stories that you can share with everyone you know, don’t miss “Art of the Heart: Anna-Jane’s Story” by gifted author, Sophie Mays. Allow a good chunk of a day for this family-friendly romance set in Serenity Falls, Colorado between Daily Grind owner Cody Woods and youngest Wyatt sister Anna-Jane. I had an ARC via Booksprout and this voluntary review is my own opinion.
I received a complimentary of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a book that took me a long time for finish. Every time I would pick it up, I only just read through a little bit of it. There were sections that really didn’t make sense to me. I will say that I did not read the first book of this series so that may have contributed to this confusion. The last few chapters made much better sense to me and I did enjoy the last 40% of the book.
These are only my feelings on this book. Others can and I am sure have enjoyed it.
This was written in a dual POV format. It was also a sweet and clean read with only some kissing.
First off, I loved the conversations between the twins!
All of the featured siblings were awesome, though.
Cody, though, is THE BEST! He is just perfect for AJ.
This was a great story!

AJ to to help run the family business at Wyatt Ranch retreat. Cody has returned to follow his dream and open his coffee shop The Daily Grind. As AJ and Cody get reacquainted their feelings develop into love. This is a sweet, heart warming romance and Serenity Falls is the perfect setting. This is a feel good story and an enjoyable read with a HEA.

This is a new to me author, and I fell in love with Cody and AJ’s story almost right from the start. The characters are adorable and well developed, the plot refreshing. I’m looking forward to more of the Wyatt family stories!

Art of the Heart is a sparkling, bubbly, feel good, heartwarming, sweet romance. AJ and Cody are wonderful characters. In this book, both AJ and Cody have to learn to balance family and self; to learn that if you forget to take care of yourself, you are not doing your best for family either. I felt so good while reading this book that I cannot wait for the rest of the series!
Anna-Jane Wyatt was back in Serenity Falls to help run the family business, with her siblings, at Wyatt Ranch Retreat, after her father had suffered a heart attack and wanted his children to be responsible for the lands from now on.
AJ was an artist, a painter, she could work from anywhere in the world. There, in Colorado, it was the place she loved most and being close to her family was important to her.
Without knowing exactly what kind of project she would do on the ranch, she takes on more responsibilities than she could handle.
To give a break in all her doubts, she ended up visiting a new Cafe in the city, famous for its different and delicious drinks.
That was true, but the biggest surprise was to find out that the owner of the Cafe had been her classmate.
No, they were never best friends, or sweethearts.
In fact, for Cody Woods, who at that time was very shy and hid behind his glasses, AJ was someone too popular to even notice him.
But being so kind to everyone, AJ thought they should make up for lost time in friendship, and they started seeing each other all the time.
However, she started to notice Cody with new eyes, and she very much wanted him to take the next step, from friend to something else.
They hang out a few times – as friends – but the feeling was there.
While AJ found herself increasingly busy because she had too many responsibilities (not because her siblings forced her, but because she wanted to be willing to help them), Cody suffered something similar, worried about staying financially healthy to pay college tuition for his younger siblings.
As their friendship grows, they help each other in their concerns.
Serenity Falls is the perfect setting for new loves and discoveries for a better life.
Clean romance
5 stars
It’s my first time reading a book by this author, so I didn’t know what to expect. I was very happy that I chose this book. This is a sweet and delightful, small town romance. The book is very well written with an entertaining and interesting storyline. The character definition was great, with endearing and sweet characters you can’t help but love. It’s not just a romance story, but a story about the people who live in Serenity Falls and the relationships that come with living in a small town. That said, I did love the sweet romance that inevitably developed between AJ and Cody. It’s a story that will leave you with a smile on your face when you get to the end, and make you wish there was more to read. If you like sweet and clean romances, I highly recommended this one!

The story pulls you in, grabs your attention and holds it until you turn the last page. It’s heartwarming and romantic and a story you don’t want to end. The characters are more than lovable and feel like family. Definitely a beautiful love story.

A sweet, sweet story. I’m looking forward to the other Wyatt siblings’ stories
Artist Anna Jane (AJ) has come home to help her family start a new business. She wants to pair her love of art with the other activities available at the new family retreat. What she doesn’t expect is to get reacquainted with a former classmate.
Cody came home when his high pressure finance job was wearing him down. He’s started a coffee shop/cafe “The Daily Grind” and it’s going well. What he doesn’t expect is the object of his high school crush to come into his shop, and for the spark he felt to still be there, maybe even stronger.
Back to Serenity Falls.
AJ is an artist and back home in Serenity Falls.
Cody is a hardworking coffee shop guy, a former nerd, he’s all grown up.
What I liked?
They both were hardworking and trying to improve their lives and families.
Sweet. Props for a former nerd boy.
4.5
AJ, an artist with up-cycling wooden objects, returns home to help with the new family business of a ranch retreat. But balancing her own work with the family business becomes even more difficult when she falls for a former classmate, who owns a cafe in town.
The story itself is nothing special, but it is a sweet story and well-told. You will definitely have a pleasant time reading this story.

Part of the Serenity Falls series a well written story that I was not putting down until I had finished it. A friends to lovers story for Anna-Jane Wyatt and Cody Woods’ story of the struggles they go through and how they get their happy ending. I hope there is more to come in this series. This is a sweet story with no sex and no conflict. AJ (Anna-Jane) is an artist helping her family get a new business started. Cody is operating a new coffee shop and trying to build up his clientele. I almost hate to say it but… the book is too sweet and too simple and on the edge of boring. There was no excitement and/or conflict making me anxious to read on. It does have a nice HEA and is good for someone who likes their reading kept simple.

AJ and Cody went to high school together, but they don’t become friends until they are both back in their hometown. I thought it was great that they were friends first before they started dating. Her siblings were annoying and funny, meddling in their relationship. Cody’s coffee drinks and food sounded so yummy. I wanted to run to his fictional coffee shop and try them all. I love that each month had a theme. I also loved AJ’s ideas for her art classes and wish I could sign up for those too. This was a sweet friends to love romance.
Enjoyed this slow building story with old school friends Cody and Anna-Jane/AJ. She left their small town only to come back after her father’s illness and runs into Cody at his coffee shop. They rekindle their friendship that turns into more. Loved the slow build to their relationship and how they both seem to understand each other. Great book.
Solid 4.5 star
This is the perfect book to sink into the couch with and get lost in a world of great characters, some good laughs, a sizzling slow burn romance and a town you want to know more about!!
I loved AJ she is such a free spirit returning to home to build a family business with her siblings, there is always a smile for everyone, happy to go along with the flow while surrounded by a big and great family, while Cody is a delightfully shy but great looking and hard working guy brought back to Serenity Falls to follow his passion… delicious coffees!!!
You will lose yourself in this story, which is not just a love story but a story about the people who live in Serenity Falls as well as AJ and Codys family, when you get to the end you will have a smile on your face and then start the countdown to the next book after getting to know everyone in this book.

AJ works to expand her business and her brand, and finds a new piece of her heart with her old friend
Sweet romance!
