He’s ruthless. And he won’t stop until he has her right where he wants her …
Luna LaRoux has poured her heart and soul into her waterfront bar and restaurant, which has the best sunsets in Key West. The only problem is, Luna’s best friend and business partner Josie is having money problems, and with twins on the way, Josie has no choice but to sell her half of the business. Actually, it’s 51%.… of the business. Actually, it’s 51%.
Gage McCabe is spending the weekend in Key West when he happens to overhear an interesting conversation. Between a very-pregnant majority shareholder and her stunningly beautiful–and deliciously desperate–business partner.
Gage can’t resist. The bar is obviously a thriving business, and his new partner will just have to get used to him calling the shots … if she doesn’t kill him first. It’s this detail that frustrates him the most: she seems entirely immune to his charms. Unheard of. Gage is so sure of his own allure, he bets Luna his share that she’ll surrender to him within a month–or the bar is hers.
Perfect. All Luna has to do is resist his drop-dead gorgeous looks, his smug charisma and his impressive … endowments, then she’ll be rid of him for good. Easy, right?
Arrogant Player is a sexy standalone enemies-to-lovers romance starring an alpha playboy and the one woman he can’t control … or stay away from.
Book 3 in the McCabe Brothers series
more
I have to say this is my favorite book of the series. Julie did an amazing job with this book. If I could give it more then 5 stars I would. Gage thinks that he will never find love that he isn’t capable of loving someone. Luna is a messed up woman running from a past. Her and her best friend own a bar in Key West. Her best friend needs to sell her share as she is pregnant with twins and the father isn’t around. Gage has the money and wants Luna so he does something he never thought he would. Read to find out all the juicy details of what happens in a bar in Key West. I received a free arc copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Just when I thought that the McCabe brothers couldn’t possibly get any better you throw Gage at us. At first I was worried that he would take all the book to admit that him and Luna were end game but it was clear that they both got on the same page when things came down to it and I really appreciated that. It made the book that much more enjoyable to read. Arrogant bastard had me rolling my eyes at the characters antics and angst, but it quickly changed to swooning over the devotion they both had for one another. Can’t wait for their cousins books!
A great book with each one in the series exceptional.
Luna LaRoux is about to lose everything she has worked so hard for, her business partner is bailing on her, and there is no way that Luna can recoup from the loss. Nor can she afford to buy her partner’s share of the restaurant. Just as she starts to feel the bricks of her life start to crumble around her, Gabe McCabe comes waltzing into her world with promises to save her… but at what cost?
Arrogant Player brings us into the lives of two people that can’t particularly stand one another, but sure don’t mind fantasizing about one another! She thinks he’s an arrogant jerk with a chip on his shoulder, and he takes great pleasure in pushing her very fragile buttons, and tempting her at every turn. Luna is desperate for help with her business, but not in the market for love or relationships of any kind. And Gabe has no desire to find love or take a chance on it… but once he meets Luna it seems like it’s all he can think about… but not admit of course!
These two push each other’s buttons at every turn, had a fairly constant mild distaste for one another, but couldn’t seem to keep their hands to themselves. I loved watching this one unfold, every interaction they had was riddled with tension and heat, and the antics it stirred up that had me smiling. They were quite the pairing!
Arrogant Player is another stand-out read from a very talented author! I highly recommend you get your hands on this series, you won’t be disappointed with what you find waiting for you between the pages!!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
Great finish to the McCabe Brothers series
Gage and Luna This was a great read. Having read the first two books in the series I already knew Gage didn’t believe in love, he went so far as to say he was bringing his own water when he came home so as not to catch the love bug that got both his brothers, so watching as he found the girl that did that to him was so satisfying. Luna gave him a run for his money though, lots of spunk, fiercely independent and a little broken, it took some effort to crack through, the chasing was not something Gage had had to do a lot of in his quest for women in the past. Written with warmth and humour, Capulet sucks you into the story and the characters’ lives early and doesn’t let you go as you keep turning the pages, enjoying the journey as the romance blossoms. If you like your romances hot and sexy then this has plenty of steam to keep you engaged. Overall, a great series closer with an intro to the Tucker Brothers, the McCabe Brothers’ cousins, who get their own stories in Capulet’s Music City Lovers series.
I absolutely adored Gage & Luna! I am sad that Gage’s story is the end of this series, but it was my favorite out the series. Gage has finally met his match.
Luna needed help at her bar to keep it running. What she didn’t know was that Gage was going to do more than just help her with her bar. I loved the banter between Gage & Luna. Luna was not afraid to speak her mind.
I really hope that Luna’s friend Josie would get to tell her story!
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
I have to say I expected Gage’s story to be my least favorite because I really don’t like a player and in the last book he came off kinda jerky but he stole my heart in this book. I guess when the player fall they fall hard and I loved seeing him fall. Great book.
Love just smacked him in the head.
Ok so Gage is my favorite McCabe brother. I just love to see a playboy meet his other half.
After the death of his parents he said he would never fall in love.
My father said he looked at her once and his world literally slid off its axis.
I used to tell him you can’t know a person from one glance.”
“That you can never really know a person. You can only try and have faith and give the best of yourself. That’s what he did and she never let him down. Not once. She just kept on amazing him every single day.”
A bad experience scared Luna for life. She knows all about Gage’s type and wants nothing to do with him.
This whole story was fast paced perfect. Plus we get a glimpse of the Tucker Brothers who are cousins to the McCabe’s.
Watching Gage, in all his arrogant player glory, fight falling in love, was pretty entertaining. His internal dialog from before he saw Luna to after her saw Luna as he went through all the emotions was quite a transition. As always, Julie Capulet writes steam to nuclear levels, and Luna and Gage are no exception. Even as Luna fights it. Great secondary characters and even an HEA for someone you least expect. The McCabe Brothers fall hard and fast, and Gage the player is no exception. What a wonderful fall into love. Recommend!
I received an advance copy of this book and am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is the third book in the McCabe Brothers series, but it can be read completely as a standalone. It is written in first person from a dual POV.
Gage is rich, successful, and handsome in a way that is gifted from heaven. And he knows it. He uses all the advantages at his disposal, and he always gets what he wants. That is, until he meets Luna. He is completely baffled when she does not immediately fall at his feet like other women. He really has a hard time understanding how she can resist his charm and all he has to offer when he is inexplicable drawn to her in a way he has never felt before. I love it when a character like Gage falls fast and hard. They never know what hit them. His feelings are described so perfectly, there are times it almost feels poetic. Gage is also an excellent dirty talker. At first, the reader gets that through a lot of his thought, but eventually we get to read as his dirty mouth undoes Luna completely. I loved it.
Luna has some baggage to work through. I loved reading as her character heals and moves forward from painful memories in her past. I love how Gage opens up to her, allowing her to share her pain with him as well. There is a bit of a slow burn between the two characters as it takes a little while for Gage’s thoughts to become a reality after he finally convinces Luna to give him a shot.
I enjoyed the emotions, the heat, and the romance in this book. I was told by other readers that Gage would capture my attention, and that he did. He is special hero with a hard shell and a soft gooey center.
Luna owns a seaside bar in key west with best friend, Josie, who just found out she’s going to be a single parent of twins. A bar that needs a lot of repairs they don’t have money for. And now they get a million dollar offer for Josie’s 51% from an ego-maniacal playboy.
Gage is an a$$hole, a player and a commitment-phobe jerk. A title he has no problem with. Although he’s pissed when a one-night stand stole his dad’s cufflinks and blackmailed him into going to Florida to get them back. After retrieving his cufflinks he escapes and finds a bar on the beach and overhears an opportunity he has to take advantage of.
This is the final book of the McCabe Brothers series. I love this series so much. Gage’s dream is hilarious! And his thoughts about himself will keep you laughing at his arrogance. Unlike his brothers who fell in love with their wife instantly, Luna is determined to keep as much distance as she can between her and Gage. I knew it would take a strong woman to take him down a few paces and Gage is so used to women (all women) tripping over him that he is having a hard time with Luca’s disinterest.
I love how Travis and his brother’s band crossover into this series and loved getting to know them better. Even Josie gets here happily ever after. Another great story by Julie Capulet! You will fall in love with her characters.

STORY:
Gage, Gage, Gage…his arrogance and cockiness knows no bound. Unbelievable the things he said in Caleb’s book and his thoughts in the beginning of his book. I think he redeemed himself and I like the way he and Luna’s story turned out. Like the other books, this is a fast-paced story. I am glad Bo and Caleb had their stories first because Gage is cut from a different cloth.
CHEMISTRY:
I enjoyed their chemistry it was appealing. I also enjoyed the pull and tug between Luna and Gage in the beginning. It’s good sexual build up.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS
I love Josie and her little story plot within the story. The epilogues were icing on the cake seeing everyone together.
Overall, a likable conclusion to this series. I enjoyed the brothers.
***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful.
This story was soooooooo good! Gage is rich, gorgeous and the most arrogant jerk ever. It’s not that he treats woman badly, it’s just that he doesn’t care about anyone. He feels it’s a gene he’s thankfully missing that he won’t fall in love. Until that gene shows up and I couldn’t stop laughing. He met Luna in Key West and the stuff going through his head had me dying. It was hilarious because he’d never been in love and the things he was doing and things he was thinking was just over the top. This story was absolutely perfect, you know the bigger they are the harder they fall. Gage fell epically like a 6’4” ton of bricks. I gave this book five stars and I recommend it highly.
Gage McCabe is the oldest of the McCabe brothers. A woman gets him for one night and one night only and he’s gone before morning. He doesn’t do relationships let alone love so he’s beyond confused by his fascination with Luna LaRoux the co-owner of a bar he comes across in Key West Florida. But when the opportunity presents itself for him to buy out her best friend Josie to become the majority owner he jumps at the chance so he can figure out what this weird feeling is. The question is, will he be able to figure it out in time to win Luna’s heart? Or will he prove to her once and for all that all alpha-holes are the same? I didn’t quite enjoy this last book as much as the first 2 in the series (not sure why) but it was still good.
Sorry. It took me so long to update. I’ve been dealing with medical issues again.
Anyway. This is gonna be short and sweet.
Arrogant Bastard, the last book of the McCabe Brothers, follows two people who aren’t really looking for anything permanent as far as relationships go. That is until they meet each other.
Gage is a playboy player through and through. And he knows his prowess around women but Luna ignores him. That puts a thorn in his side. He’s constantly questioning why she’s not attracted to him. When an opportunity arises, he takes advantage.
Luna just wants a uncomplicated life. And Gage is nothing but. She has no need for a man who has women lined up for him. But fate has another plan for her, and it includes Gage.
These two were hilarious. Especially Luna. Gage cracked me up too, with his deviant ideas. I say give these two a bit your time. You’ll have a good one!
She is immune to his charms and he is puzzled why he desires her so much
Arrogant Bastard is the third book in the McCabe Brothers series and this time it is the oldest brother Gage McCabe and the very lovely and beautiful Luna LaRoux.
Gage is a very wealthy CEO having built a successful investment company by buying struggling businesses and turning them around. But he is also empty in that he is a playboy who is cynical and not very nice sometimes. Well he actually has an arrogant attitude and a smirk that you either want to slap or kiss off him when he flashes it, it is a 50/50 on which one you choose at the time.
Luna is a woman that has her won dreams and is just determined and sassy enough to be going after them. That is how she has come to be a part owner and running the Sea Breeze, a very successful bar and restaurant in Key West, Florida. But when her business partner Josie decides that she wants to move back to her home town Luna has a decision to make about her future.
Gage is in Key West and randomly walks into the Sea Breeze for a drink when he saw a beautiful and sexy young woman. But when she does not pay him any attention he is not sure what to make of it. Then he eavesdrops on a conversation between the young woman and another woman about one wanting to sell her share of the business. He sees an opportunity on a silver platter that he cannot pass up. So he buys Josie’s share and becomes Luna’s partner. Let’s just say that she is not impressed by her new partner, the arrogant azz! Gage in the meantime is more than puzzled by the fact that he cannot stop thinking about and longing to be with Luna. I mean he bought a bar to be near her………..who does that!!! But then add in the fact that she is immune to his charm and things get even more hilarious. So a bet is made that if she can resist his charms for the next thirty days he will give her his share of the business. But if he wins her over he gets to keep her. Now that is a bet where win or lose Luna is still a winner by any standard!!!
I am loved this third book in the series. Gage is my favorite brother of the three as he was just so funny in his pursuit of Luna and she just kept rebuffing him. He is so perplexed by not only his feelings and desires for her but also how she can be immune to him. It was funny to read what was going on with Luna as the thirty days progressed and her immunity seemed to wear off………maybe she needed a Gage booster shot. In the end there is a HEA and a number of fun and entertaining epilogues.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Very enjoyable book. Enemies to lovers romance set in the steamy heat of Key West.
Luna and her best friend Josie own the Sea Breeze bar and restaurant. When Josie becomes pregnant and decides to move back to Iowa they decide to sell her share to a silent investor. Gage McCabe is arrogant, cocky, gorgeous, commitment phobic and anything but silent. He sees Luna and wants her for a quick fling. Luna wants nothing to do with the alpha male but gives in so Josie can get the money she needs to raise her babies. The ensuing chase changes both of them and heals their broken spirits. Must read.
Say what?
Putting it mildly, Gage (the last of the three brothers) does not have any semblance of an ego problem. When he buys out Luna’s partner, who has been forced to sell because of pregnancy issues, the “game” is on to conquer Luna. Boy does he have another think coming, and it makes for an absolutely delightful read to see the changes. It wasn’t that he was a “bad” person, just a man convinced of his own prowess with the ladies. Everything about the book is highly original, characters, story, and writing, and that makes for a wonderful read.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Arrogant Bastard was such a great read. I loved that Luna & Gage’s love story had both passion & sweetness. And the setting in Key West was perfect- made me want to pack my bags & buy a bar down there.
Arrogant Bastard was the third book in the McCabe Brothers series but can be read as a stand alone.

A Love Out Of The Blue –
Gage had resigned himself to being a bachelor, as he didn’t want to feel the pain of loss. That was until he met Luna and his world was turned upside down. Luna’s upbringing was chaotic, so she decided to live a life based solely on her best friend and work. That is until Gage inserted himself into her life and unsettled her emotionally. This story deals with two people who are insecure in their separate lives, but meeting each other seems to give them the strength, determination and confidence, they didn’t know they were capable of. This is another book from Julie Capulet, that you don’t want to miss reading.
