There’s a hot new hire.
Too bad she’s Donavan’s ex.
Oh, and there’s one other problem—they hate each other.
The last thing he expected to see when he walked into the office was Paisley Williams.
She was the only person to graduate ahead of him at Columbia. The one woman who could give it back better than he could dish it out.
She was also the biggest regret of his life. What he did to her … regret of his life. What he did to her was unforgivable.
Now, she’s back in Chicago, working at his firm.
When old feelings interfere, stakes get raised, and secrets are revealed…
Will they have a shot at making it the second time around? Or are they more doomed than the first?

Donovan Collins is a criminal defense lawyer in Chicago and works for the Hunter Group after his brothers decided to merge their firm. He is the youngest of 4 boys and feels like he doesn’t measure up and is not listened to at all regarding anything.
Paisley Williams needs a new job after relocating to Chicago to take care of her father and grandparents after her father’s company collapsed due in part to the Hunter Group. Yet she applies for a job with the firm and is hired by Dexter Collins.
But unknown to the brothers, Paisley and Donovan have a past that did not end well. Can Donovan and Paisley stay far enough away from each other or will they be faced with old feelings coming back?
This was a great book and I really enjoyed it from start to finish!
Donovan was a dark and broody kind of guy and he’s almost easy to hate at the beginning until you begin to get a sense of the bigger picture and realize how little he has felt loved and appreciated his entire life. Then things begin to fall into place and it almost makes sense on why he kept his relationship with Paisley so far away from his family.
I liked Paisley right from the beginning but I could also tell that she was hiding something that was going to blow up big! I respected her for coming home to take care of her dad and grandparents after here dad lost everything. I could tell that she was hurt bad by Donovan in the past and was reluctant to get involved with him again.
There was so much chemistry between Paisley and Donovan right from the first time they saw each other even though at the beginning it was a hatred/lust. I was glad that eventually Paisley agreed to talk to Donovan and that he opened up to her about his past and what he was going through when he destroyed her heart.
I knew something big was coming but I was shocked when it did happen and I wish we knew a little bit more of what specifically was involved with it all. I understood why Donovan flew off the handle but he never gave any room for explanations.
I was super surprised that it was Tate that initiated dialogue after everything and how much Paisley told her and what she told her. The intervention at the office was huge and brought tears to my eyes as a certain apology was so huge!!!
The end was awesome and I loved how it all worked out!!

The dynamic duo of Howell and Wolf strike it “HOT” again in another Playboy romance.
Another amazing story from this duo.
I highly recommend this one guys.
I received a complimentary ARC – early release copy of this book in Kindle format from the author for review purposes.
This is book 4 in the series and while I enjoyed it, some parts I did not love. I would say it was my least favorite book in the series but still a great story. Its also the final single brother, but I am thinking Harlow will prob get a story.
This is the story between Donavan and Painsley and I felt at times confused about the issues between them. I understand the author was trying to keep me guessing but when it was revealed things didn’t seem that big a deal to me.
Also at times Donavan calls Painsley names and I did not like that. They had a very sexual relationship and a time or two he said some negative things about her and I did not like his tone, it felt disrespectful.
Aside from those two issues I did enjoy the story, while it was a little instalove in my opinion.
Years before while in college D and P dated for three years. He knew her parents extremely well but he never introduced her to his or even told them about her. Why? You are wondering right? Well its because he felt his brothers looked down on him and he didn’t want to take the abuse.
This is a big issue in the story, D’s relationship with his father and brothers and how he feels they are not there for him and don’t care and listen to him. And one big point is the hiring of P. Now to be honest his brothers don’t know he had a relationship with her ever, but they also don’t listen to him when he gives an opinion. He does have a point.
But he still loves P and she still loves him and so they both have to decide if they should resurrect their romance. That’s all I can say about this story. It was an enjoyable 2nd chance at romance with lots of secrets between them.
I have loved this series and so if you have not read them all, you definitely should because they are so much fun.
Donovan Collins ‘s story is the best of the whole series! The boys went out with a bang on this one!!!
Donovan is like is brothers, driven, arrogant and heartless or so he leads you to believe. The only woman he loved was Paisley and they reconnect after 7 years with a past history that needs to be resolved. Can they forget the past to have a future? The story is enthralling and will keep you riveted to your seat. I honestly volunteered to review this story.
Arrogant Playboy is the tale of Donovan and Paisley and what a story they had to tell. Donovan is exactly what the title states and yes I wanted to dislike him but he soon won me over with his pushy arrogant charm! Paisley is strong, smart, and determined. Her past failed relationship with Donovan will not define her and she is back to show them that !! These characters are dynamic on their own but put them together and they are quite the power couple that have sizzling off the charts chemistry! I loved getting a look at all my favorite characters from the past books and watching this story unfold !!

It was great to finally read Donovan’s story. Like the others, it was filled with lots of emotion. I love this series and I certainly hope it continues with some of the other characters. There are so many other stories to tell!
I loved this book. Donavan and Paisley’s story was hot and angsty and hooked me from the first page. The Collins brothers have my heart. I love the dynamics and emotion of this family. The plot was fast-paced. This was a quick read that was well developed and left me very satisfied. I will definitely be recommending this book to everyone.
We finally get Donovan’s story and what an epic read it was. Donovan and Paisley were awesome together. This was a second chance, enemies to lovers read and man their chemistry was off the charts. Loved their interaction and banter. Paisley was strong and took no crap from anyone yet she was a softie for her family. Donovan had so much anger and resentment and we finally find out where it all came from. I couldn’t stop reading until I finished this wonderful, thrilling, emotional, beautiful love story. Loved this story and this awesome series and I can’t wait to read more by this dynamic duo.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to get thru this book since Donavan has not been one of my favorite Collins brother’s. He’s been a jerk…until now!! Holy hell Alex Wolf and Sloane Howell, I applaud you for changing my mind on him. Donavan ended up being one of the sweetest, loving, nicest brother that was the most relatable. I loved his and Paisley’s story…hate hard, work hard, but love harder!
I’m so glad I gave Arrogant Playboy a chance! This book can’t be missed! Bravo Alex and Sloane!
This enemies to lovers/2nd chance romance is full of hate and heat just like I like them! The banter was fantastic and the chemistry was hot, hot, hot! Donavon is a broody bastard with cuts so deep you just can’t help but fall head over heels for!
1-click, you won’t regret it!

The baby of the Collins family finally gets his story and it’s filled with so much emotion I was not expecting. Paisley was always the one for Donovan and when she pops up in his life, it makes for an emotional journey from start to finish. I enjoyed seeing a different side of Donovan character and the reason he is why he is, the unexpected pain under all the layers of cockiness. Drama galore, lots of yumminess in the bed and so much more made this newest release a must one click. I can’t wait for the next book in this entertaining and enjoyable series.
This was my first dip in The Collins brother pool. Donovan is the youngest brother. Hot shot criminal attorney who seems to be stuck in his past. Dominant with some issues. After reading this second chance love story I find myself drawn into The Collin’s Brothers and need to get my hands on their books. I honestly didn’t see Donovan and Paisley finding their way back to each other but the Authors did an excellent job of bringing these characters to life in a way you really wanted to know their past and their secrets. This is a stand alone but I’m off to buy books one through three to meet the rest of the family. 4 stars and a HEA.
Sloane Howel and Alex Wolf do a phenomenal job of weaving a plot of betrayal, lies, misunderstandings, hurt feelings, second chances, and redemption. This is Book #4 of the Cocky Suits Chicago. It is a complete standalone with a HEA but does have interconnected characters from previous books. You do not have to read the other books (I haven’t) in order to enjoy this book and understand what is going on.
I wasn’t expecting to feel so many emotions! I thought, “Okay. I’ll read about an arrogant playboy who is sexy and cocky with a side of alpha-hole.” I was dead wrong. The action in this book starts from the first chapter and keeps up throughout the book. The push and pull and snarky banter between Donovan and Paisley were nonstop throughout the book! The attraction was undeniable. When they came together, sparks flew but there was so much pain and so many misunderstandings from the past, as well as a few from the present. How could they possibly get past it? How could trust be restored?
This book hit me in the feels. I devoured it in one day. The characters were so real and relatable. I loved all of them. I felt their pain. It was a literal ache in my chest. It gutted me at times. I laughed. I swooned. I cried! Donovan could be such a ruthless, bad mood alpha jerk but he could be so sweet too. He knew what he wanted and went after it and he wanted Paisley. There were times I wanted to smack him and other times I wanted to give him a hug. Paisley was strong, sassy, ambitious, and smart. When they came together, it was explosive.
This was the first book I have read by this duo but it definitely won’t be the last. I plan to go back and read the other books in this series. This wasn’t enough. I am totally addicted and I highly recommend reading this book.
****ARC generously provided in exchange for an honest review.****
Book 4 in the Cocky Suits Chicago series and the fourth book that I have read from this writing duo and it was such a good addition. Loved this story. A great second chance/enemies to lovers combined into one great story. Donavan and Paisley were so good together. The chemistry and attraction that the was there when they were younger was still there and hotter than ever. This book will take you through the wringer of emotions but it is a great ride and you will be left with a smile on your face when you are finished. I can’t wait to read more from this writing duo. Highly recommend this book and this series.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I was so curious to read more about Donovan. He was the one who seemed angry and had the biggest chip on his shoulder. After reading, it all makes sense. He threw away his happy life because of it. The second chance meeting between he and Paisley definitely wasn’t hearts and roses at first. Both were arrogant and a little snarky, but as parts of their inner walls were starting to crumble, maybe they could get that second-chance?
OMG, I am so sorry I haven’t read the first three in this series if they are anything like this fourth in the series. This story had me crying and crying again and then crying again. That means lotta stars for this playboy! ‘BC,’ as he was nicknamed, stood for ‘Baby’ Donovan Collins, youngest of four and unable to keep up with his super smart, super athletic brothers and had a hard time getting his father’s attention. But, by gum, he was going to be the only one to graduate top of his law class of an Ivy League school. Well, he almost did, but then his love, Paisley, for all three years of law school, took that place and he left her and Manhatten to go back to the love/hate relationship with his brothers to head up the criminal law section of their law firm. This book starts seven years later when he sees her in his Chicago offices interviewing for a job! Great plot: second chance hatred mixes with undying lust, gradually turning to love! Too bad the high powered Paisley was still keeping secrets. Highly recommended.
This is one of those series that seriously needs a binge read… but if your at book four then you already know that. Each can be read as a stand alone book, and each book features a hot asf…brother.
What you need to know going into book four….
1. Donovan is the youngest in a family of four brothers….this is his book.
2. This is a second chance romance… these characters come out of the gate with some intense love=hate vibes.
3. Read it slow and savor it….because this is the last brother.
What did I like? There is something to be said about that love/hate vibe. In this book it just emanates off the page. Really though? Who doesn’t love a second chance romance with a fiery passion that never went away. Donovan starts this book off really arrogant but Paisley doesn’t budge until she brings him down a notch or two. It’s so steamy to see a woman who just knows her man, and Paisley knows Donovan.
Would I recommend or buy? My favorite of this series is still Possessive Playboy but all these get a five star rating from me. It was an amazing series, and I’m saddened that this ride is over but I’m glad the brothers all found their HEA’s. The covers in this series are gorgeous and I plan on getting a copy of them ASAP for my shelf. No matter what format you get though, I recommend you read all of them because they are so good. KU too…. so grab and read.
Thoughts for the authors? Congratulations Sloane Howell and Alex Wolf on this terrific series. I devoured it, and I got my daughter to read them on KU. Fabulous job. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next. Five stars of entertainment!
I LOVED Paisley and Donovan’s story. Enemy-to-lover stories are the best and Sloan and Alex knocked this one out of the park!
The man you love to hate. Donovan has always had issues. Never knew the reasons but this book will fill you in on all that. His need to be #1 is his downfall. That need changed his life in so many ways. Can Paisley tame him & make him less arrogant. He became my favorite Collins brother which I never thought possible. Way to go Alex & Sloane, this book was awesome. I may read it again!!
