New to me author.
Wow, what an emotional read. Small town girl Milana moves to the big city after enduring a week from hell, she needs to move for a better pay check. It’s sad the circumstances why she had to move, it’s a lot to put on a young person shoulder. She meets arrogant bad boy Wesley Rich. You’re probably not going to like this guy needy, selfish, toxic, self absorbed. Sometimes you don’t know if he’s coming or going, his moods change so rapidly. He can be a sweet guy then a completely asshole. Lots of ups and downs makes this read so emotional, the pain and hurt from both characters. I enjoyed my first read of Kat.
I loved this story so full of love. The way these two meet and the way the story progresses is a beautiful journey. It’s a real feel good story.
A sweet, steamy, fun summer read! If you are looking for an arrogant hero and easy-to-love heroine, give this book a read! Twists and turns and some super swoon-worthy moments will keep you turning the pages. A few times I got a little annoyed by the hero, but that’s gonna happen when you are dealing with alpha males. If you like a good enemies-to-lovers, meet cute story, this one will win you over! Gabriella and Ollie are a lot of fun, and this is a great addition to the Hero Club library. Highly recommended!!
I was hooked this story is amazing. Olly really makes this story and Gabby shes my fav 100%. Shes this woman trying to be independent but doesnt know what she wants. Olly is there to help her figure it out. Truely amazingly written and the story plot is just as amazing. All the characters are out od this world great really makes the story flow. The great word building helps as well. MUST READ!!!
Another wonderful book from The Cocky Hero Club. We are back in Hermosa Beach with Chance and Aubrey. Chance’s friend Oliver’s soccer career hangs in the balance and Gabrielle (their neighbor for the summer) is seeking refuge from an arranged marriage. Both end up in Hermosa Beach and sparks fly. They developed an unlikely friendship with tons of attraction. Both are trying figure out their next move. Oliver is a dirty talking Aussie and Gabrielle is the spoiled rich girl who needs to let loose.
Oliver to Gabrielle:
“You are worthy of living your own life,” I whisper, my voice clouded by the steam rising from the water. “Don’t let anyone else live it but you.”
“But I don’t know how to follow my dreams.”
Not gonna lie, I tend to have a love/hate relationship with Kat Masen books; usually because her characters are just frustrating enough that I want to reach through my e-reader and shake the holy hell out of them lol. It took me a bit to get into this story, but once I stopped letting life get in my way, I really enjoyed this story. There were still moments in the story that left me shaking my head (like the moment between Gabby and Olly in Colorado). I liked that there was a true friendship that developed between these two that slowly morphed into something more, and the epilogue was fantastic.
Funny as Hell and Steamy
I loved this book, and thought it was funny as hell. The chemistry between Gabriella and Oliver is off the charts hot! Mix one sexy as hell Australian soccer player, and a headstrong American girl and watch the sparks fly. I laughed out loud and snorted a couple of times. I have to say this one of my favorites reads this year.
One night, tequila and a hot Aussie. That’s all it was supposed not be but things don’t always turn out as planned. Another great addition into the Cocky Heroes club.

Read Arrogant Aussie to find out if it all works out for Oliver and Gabriella.
Wow!
I loved the playfulness of the characters the banter and humour throughout was great.
Oliver Madden an injured Australian soccer player recovering from a recent motorcycle accident who is staying with his bestfriends Chance and Aubrey in America finds himself captivated by the visitor staying next door in the summer rental.
Gabriella Carmichael the shy one running from her father’s rules and demands.
A beautiful friendship that takes a sudden turn for the worst. That leaves them both shattered by their current situation.
A beautifully written heartwarming emotional story riddled with humour sexual attraction and heartache. It has all the feels. Highly recommended reading.

Hot damn Olly is one smooth, sexy, mother fluffer, but damn the circumstances in which tear Olly and Gabs apart. They didn’t have the typical fling or tryst, it was so much more and deeper than the physical aspects of a relationship. They came to understand and grow fond of each other, and Olly just wanted it to be straight an narrow, but it was anything but for Gabriella….her life was complicated and ruled by her father and she had to make decisions she wasn’t yet ready for.
Prepare for the feels that come with reading Olly and Gabs story,
But also prepare for the journey to their happy ending!

While drowning in his sorrows about his shoulder injury at a local bar he meets up with a beautiful woman with a whole lot of attitude. When he finds out she is the next door neighbor he makes sure to remind her of how she acted. Readers of sports romance, this is one for you. Oliver is a cocky Australian professional soccer player who is recovering from a near fatal accident. He heads to the United States to spend time with his friends Chance and Aubrey, who readers met in Cocky Bastard. Like any star athlete who is off the field, suffice it to say he is not in a happy place; that is until he meets Chance’s neighbor Gabriella. Gabriella is a breath of fresh air from the typical women that Oliver usually goes for, the pampered princess type. Or is she? Gabriella comes from an extremely privileged family and decides to take a break from her fiancé. Wanting to live her life, Oliver blows in like a hurricane and shakes up her world. These two have the perfect love-hate relationship. He gives her the confidence to shine her light and she shows him that there is more to life than playing soccer. I loved the inclusion of Chance and Aubrey with their loveable goat Pixie. The storyline itself was witty but predictable in parts. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
I really enjoyed this story, but it wasn’t because of the story-line. The plot was way too predictable for me, but the author wrote two fantastic leads that saved the day for me! They felt kismet to me and while they were living in a bubble, they got the chance to know one another without their outside worlds getting in the way. These two just made me happy. I especially enjoyed reading their journey thru friendship first and then … well, you know what you’re reading (lol) so I don’t have to spell that out. GAH, I just wish I didn’t see practically every plot point coming a mile away!

It took me a little bit to get into this story. However, once I got into it I was all in. I enjoyed the connection between Gabby and Oliver. The relationship started pretty stilted with a lot of misunderstood feelings on both parts. Slowly though, this turned into a friendship. I liked watching that evolve. Was it at times predictable? Yes, but this is romance, and we aren’t rediscovering fire here.
I was frustrated at the pivotal moment between Gabby and Olly when they were in Colorado. I didn’t understand her acceptance of things considering that she had spent her time discovering what was important. I just wanted that fleshed out more. Especially, what she later came to find out. The epilogue made up for it and that bonus scene was great.
Another great story from the Cocky Hero world. I’ve loved reading them all. This was sweet , funny, sexy, heartbreaking, and happy ever after all rolled into one. A fast easy enjoyable read. I highly recommend.
Gabby and Olly had an instant attraction, despite their very, VERY different backgrounds.
The banter was fantastic.
The attraction undeniable.
I really enjoyed their story, especially the drama that surrounded their relationship and families.
It was sweet, sexy, sad and surprising.
