He’s a fighter, not a lover… bars.
She keeps men in line, but has a soft heart…
Abby Connelly takes her work at the Long Valley Jail seriously. She has no dreams of marriage, children, or white-picket fences. All she wants is to do her job and please the only family she has left, her father. But the moment rugged and wounded Wyatt Miller walks into her jail, Abby realizes her heart might just have a change of plans…
But small towns have a way of holding onto big grudges. Wyatt and Abby have an uphill fight to overcome the bad blood between the Miller and Connelly families.
Because redemption never comes easy…
Arrested by Love is the third novel in the Long Valley world, although all books in the Long Valley world can be read as standalones. It has some strong language, and oh my, sexy times. Enjoy!

Wonderful, page turner. Couldn’t put it down til I finished it.
Very exciting a page turner. Sad in areas. Didn’t like the cat. Good book. Thank you
A wonderful story of overcoming struggles and recovering from a messy past, I was hooked from the first page.
I absolutely love this series!! Wonderful characters and great story lines.
pretty good. The hero is used to solving things with his fists, and goes through counseling while awaiting a hearing on his claim. The heroine is the deputy who interacts with him. She is less developed as a character than he is, but still decent.
Great story from beginning to end.
Wyatt is been known in Sawyer for his bad temper. Abby is a caring person but looks more tougher than she really is because she works for her father, the sheriff. When Wyatt ends in jail for a long time, they make an instinct connection. But can Wyatt face his anger and learn how to be happy again? Can Abby risk disappointing his father, who lost his farm to Wyatt, and have a relationship with Wyatt? A beautiful love’s story about second chances.
Ah, I loved it! I really enjoyed the first book in this series and am happy to report this is just as filled with wit, tension, and colourful characters. A fantastic read.
No, I never forgave Wyatt. I announce my barrenness to the world. And it’s hard to hear the apologies and the miracle stories. But to have a man react like Wyatt did, no that’s all I need to know.. I’d be done in real life and I was done with the book. You don’t get to say stuff like that and get the girl in the end. And he never really apologized she apologized more sincerely for jumping to a conclusion that was pretty rational than his irrational hateful reaction to her baring something so painful most women don’t talk about it.
I liked it. Had a predictable ending-happily ever after- but a good read all the same!
This man learns to control his temper and falls in love.
You will enjoy this story and watch a man deal with his problems with anger and change the important aspects of his life.
Unrealistic
A story of a troubled man who lost his wife and daughter and how he found a new reason to go on. I enjoyed both Abby a law woman and Wyatt who found himself through her love and understanding. I enjoyed the story very much.
I liked it very much. Liked the series.
It was an excellent read.
The deputy and the town bad boy. It’s a good story. Well written. Some sex scenes that were rather tame. Good thing is they didn’t overwhelm the story. Interesting characters. Some interesting twists.
Wyatt is a hurting man, and like any dangerous animal, he settles differences with his fists and asks questions later. In a small town run by authoritarians who have no liking for him, Wyatt is an outcast and unpopular. It took me time to warm up to him as a hero, but as he is brought to a place where he has nothing else to do other than think about how he reached that state of affairs, he starts to acknowledge that perhaps there are other ways to deal with conflict. Abby is the police officer who is assigned to keep watch over him whilst incarcerated, and although she is cautious, she is also fair. Unlike her father who cannot view the matter other than in a negative light. Abby becomes a light in Wyatt’s life and as one day rolls into the next, they find that they have more in common than they first believed possible. Set against the backdrop of a small town where it is impossible to keep secrets, Wyatt and Abby’s relationship has very little hope of succeeding. However, when destructive forces go too far in trying make Wyatt look bad, the situation finally begins to turn around. I enjoyed the interaction between Wyatt and Abby and how her kindness towards him is a healing balm to his broken soul, bringing change in its wake. As a non-American I really hope that this book does not depict small communities in the US, that are governed by bigoted men who because they have been elected into office, feel they have the right to ride rough shod over lesser mortals. It would be a really sad state of affairs. Arrested by Love is a well written story with good flow of language and very few typos. It forms part of a series and characters in previous books appear in this one as well, nevertheless the book can be read as a standalone. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
