I’ve inherited my sister’s fiancé.She had him first. Alessio Salvatore. Charming, gorgeous, and completely off-limits. I watched him propose and counted myself lucky when my sister said “yes” to the notorious gangster. I have plans for my life. None of them involve sleeping with the enemy, even if it’s to broker peace between our families. But when my sister mysteriously dies, my life turns … mysteriously dies, my life turns upside-down. I’m now the heir of my father’s assets, and without an arranged marriage, our families are on the brink of war.
Until my father gives Alessio an offer he can’t refuse.
Me.

ALESSIO
I need Mia to understand three things:
1. We are getting married in a month.
2. I demand loyalty.
3. I want kids. Now.
I was meant to walk her sister down the aisle. A relationship with Mia would’ve been unforgivable. She was persona-non-grata forever until her old man gave me her hand in marriage.
How could I say no?
But wrangling the boss’ daughter is more trouble than I thought. When she’s not fighting her feelings, she’s fighting me. Never mind that we have more fireworks than dynamite. Or that we’re perfect together. Or that we’re marrying in a few weeks.
She hates me.
Too bad.
She’ll have to get used to me.
Author’s note: This is a dark, mafia arranged marriage, standalone romance. A young woman desperate to leave a life of crime and violence fights her arranged marriage to her late sister’s fiancé, a ruthless mob boss who demands three things from her: marriage, loyalty, and a baby.
As their wedding date approaches, Mia struggles with a decision that once seemed easy–escape his control or surrender to her heart?more

OMG, I was so excited to get this book that I actually was worried I had built myselfup for a disappointment. But I was so blown away by it. Alessio and Mia took me on an delicious and frustrating ride. I felt that it was not only extremely detailed. I am going crazy waiting for the rest of the series to come out.

** spoiler alert ** He wanted her the moment he saw her, she just wants freedom. Secrets in the dark must come to light. Will they find a way to make their relationship work?
Have to say this was a hot enemies-lovers romance. I loved how despite his hard exterior, he was very soft with her and was willing to work towards having her accept him. I didn’t blame her for bouncing back and forth with everything that was being thrown at her. Steamy read!
I appreciate the fact that Mia didn’t just roll over for Alessio. He had to work for it some and she ended up being a defender of sorts for him where his family was concerned. She wasn’t a weak heroine. She showed strength and determination.

** First time reading author
So I saw an ad for Monster by this author and I wanted to read it, but it said it went with these books. And if you are anything like me you want to start at the beginning of a series, even if it says “standalone”. So that is what I did. I started Arranged, and I am so glad I did. Vanessa Waltz was a hidden gem out there that somehow I missed.
Arranged is an emotional ride at times and twisted at others. Mia and Alessio have many things to overcome before they can have their HEA. Mia will hate Alessio many times in this book due to the situation that they are in. But Alessio will show her that life doesn’t always have to be the end of the world, and that they can find common ground to make a marriage work.
I enjoyed this story so much I jumped at the next one.
Style: Erotica / Mafia/ Mobster
Story: 4/5
Sexual: Enticingly GOOD
Enjoyment: 5/5
Series: Book 1
THE GOOD
I really really really enjoyed this book. Sometimes the sex in a book can keep the momentum going and that gets boring after a while or the story captivates you and the story actually kept me engaged and I did not want to but this book down. Mia, I have to admit, in the beginning annoyed me to hell, however, tremendous growth with her character. Alessio, man after my own heart, he is such a ZADDY, even though it took Mia forever to see who he really is.
I loved the journey the author took me on as I was glued to everything unfolding, half way through the book I went and purchase ‘TAKEN’ the second book that’s how invested I was in this series and whose next. The moment Alessio and Mia finally came together, I did not lose interest and I liked that as the author definitely gave me my money’s worth.
THE BAD
I really don’t have anything bad as the good definitely out weighs the bad.
OVERALL
Overall, for me good read and it goes with my personally taste on what I love to read in my books. If you are definitely a fan of the mafia romance, this will be a good read.
Received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this book.
Learning more about Anthony and his past. The h seemed kinda dirty but a likeable ditzy if that makes sense.
The storyline was good and full of interesting plot lines. I would have loved to have known more about Anthony’s missing year. But overall less is more I suppose.
Highly recommend this book.

It’s a different kind of arranged marriage that I’m used to but it’s worth reading. I love the development of each characters and the hero being alpha.
I loved this story. It’s a dark romance and a wonderfully written one at that. The plot is brilliant, and the characters are written superbly. The story has a lot going on and there is a lot of emotion to go along with the drama.

Arranged is a dark mafia romance focusing on Alessio Salvatore, an underboss to a mafia family, and Mia Ricci, a mafia princess who is directed she must marry Alessio since her sister, who was promised to him, is missing and presumed dead. They are required to marry in order to keep peace between their families, prevent a war, and increase their businesses. Alessio and Mia have a tumultuous and emotional relationship with sizzling chemistry. I recommend this dark read with its memorable characters and action packed plot with suspense, danger, unexpected twists, and romance.

Ohhh, I loved this book! Mafia, good-looking, wealthy, charming, tough as nails. Two sisters from a mafia family, one engaged to Alessio Salvatore, Underboss, until she is murdered. Mia, the other sister, now engaged to Alessio. She is definitely not happy about this. I loved the entire book and story line. There is nothing better than a good Mafia book and this is no exception. I highly recommend it to you.
Loved, loved, loved this book. It is exciting, suspenseful, unpredictable, dangerous, emotional and xxx HOT!!! The two main characters Mia and Alessio were dynamic, strong, insightful, caring, loyal, intelligent, astute and determined. Mia is the daughter of a crime boss. However, she was not jaded. She was aware of the life her father and him men lead but she wanted to live life her way. She was thoughtful, sincere, had a positive outlook on life. Her love of life came through her actions and in how she spoke to others. She always had people’s best interest in mind. She was no pushover. She was nobody’s pawn. She was able to stand up for herself and would never stop defending those she loved. Alessio was the underboss of a rival crime boss. He was from a good family but ended up in the mafia anyway. His family disowned him. He was no one’s dummy. He had worked his way up from the bottom to second in command. He always thought his heart was black never to be revived but he was wrong. In order to keep the peace between the two organizations a marriage was brokered. Alessio would marry Mia. In Mia’s mind this arrangement was all kinds of wrong. She fought and fought but, in the end, she had to marry him. She wanted to keep her biases against Alessio and his men but as she spent time with him she saw a side others did not. But Alessio had secrets he was keeping from Mia. He had no idea if she would stay with him or leave him because of them. There are some unexpected twists in the story that took me completely by surprise. By the end of the book I did not want to say goodbye to Mia and Alessio. This is an excellent dark mafia enemy to lover’s romance. A must read. You will not be disappointed.
Mia is planning to live her life away from her crime family. Her sister goes missing and ends up dead so her father offers her as a bride to Alessio. Alessio is from the mafia and her sister’s fiance now to be her husband. Mia hates the idea of marrying Alessio but they have steamy chemistry. Alessio knows things will work out if Mia can give him a chance. A good read with plenty of steam.

Arranged is a stand-alone mafia romance with some darker themes. Alessio used to be engaged to Mia’s sister, but when she is murdered, Mia must marry him in order to keep the peace. Now Mia must battle between her head and her heart, between freedom and the man she’s falling for, but will Alessio drive the wedge between them?
Oh my goodness! Mia and Alessio completely grabbed my attention and wouldn’t give it up until I finished the book! I stayed up late because I just couldn’t put this book down! I loved Mia and Alessio’s romance. It was the perfect blend between being sweet and romantic, and being a little more dark and twisted. There’s secrets. There’s lies. There’s urges and deaths and hope that this arranged marriage could be so much more! Mia fights herself a lot in this book and second guesses everything Alessio does, but when she finally gives in, she’s so sweet and kind and quite protective of those she loves. Alessio is full of darkness and jealousies that his world has created for him, but I love seeing some of his vulnerabilities and I love that even when he’s stern with Mia, her safety and protection is most important. I was enthralled and captivated by this couple and the drama they have to wade through in order to find their happiness. This was my first book by Ms. Waltz, but will not be my last!
I have to say the beginning of this is quite and yo-yo ride. Will they won’t they get along. Do they have feelings for each other.
After the death is her sister, Mia inherits Alessio, her sisters’ fiancé. How exciting does that sound. Not very when you not convinced he didn’t have something to do with her murder/disappearance.
Working for the mob is a full time gig that Alessio has committed to. Even if his family disowned him and his new family don’t want him.
The whole outline of this book is amazing. It’s pace and storyline grab you and pull you in. You wonder what will happen at every turn. And when you think everything is safe…Wham!
It has a HEA! So now cliffhanger.
I received this for an honest review!
All the drama, suspense and danger of a steamy, messy dark mafia romance
Arranged: A Dark Mafia Romance by Vanessa Waltz is a very well written book that ticks all the boxes of a dark mafia romance for this reader. Alessio could not be a better broody, moody and dark mafia hero. He’s as rough and dangerous as he can be romantic and sweet. Mia stuggles because she is attracted to Alessio, but does not want to be. She wants to be free of a mafioso life, thought she had that choice until she’s seemingly robbed of it.
The plot of this dark mafia romance has sharp twists and turns, steep drops and climbs that rivals the most dangerous switch-back mountain road in a blinding snowstorm. It seems that no sooner does Mia begin to feel content and happy than the bottom drops out with gravity induced swiftness and the climb back to their original point is slow and arduous. Both Mia and Alessio are persistent, yet stubborn which makes this book a ‘never a dull moment’ in many, many ways. Adding to the twists in this book’s plot is the unexpected antagonist, although probably not very surprising in the dark mafia world.
Overall, a very well written book with wonderful characters with chemistry that frequently creates an inferno in a variety of ways between Mia and Alessio. Best of all is the HEA both of them hoped for and want with all hearts.
A fantastic, well written, fast pace, and action-packed mafia romance! It is well thought-out and interesting; there is suspense, adventure, drama, and passion to look forward to. The characters are likeable and relatable. This story grabs your attention from the start and keeps it until the end as you will become completely engrossed in the riveting story line. Definitely recommended!

This book impressed me with it’s storyline and twists!

Mia was not supoosed to be engaged to Alessio, that was her sister Carmela, but she was gone and now she will become the bride. Given in marriage to cement a partnership between two mafia familes. When she tried to run away he found her and he intended to keep her because too many lives will be lost in the future if the marriage does not take place. This was a mafia story that kept me interested from the beginning, despite her attraction to Alessio, Mia wanted to marry for love but in the end she had to be sadisfied with passion. This is an new author for me but this book impressed me with its storyline and hidden twist and if this is any indication of her work, I will be reading a lot more of her books in the future.
