If you were to pass me on the street, you probably wouldn’t even look twice. I’m that normal. I’m just like you, only wealthier. I have it all. The kids, the family, the dog, a house on the hill. Hell—I’m so cliché, I even have a white picket fence. I guess you could say that I’ve dotted my I’s and crossed my T’s. But what I also have—what no one sees in yoga, or at Nieman Marcus, or during the … the dreadful Ladies Who Lunch charity events I attend (because only God knows why), and perhaps most importantly, in the school pick up line—are secrets.
Deep, dark, deadly secrets.
We all keep secrets, don’t we? We all have thoughts in our heads, things we do, things about us that if people knew, they’d be shocked…right? Well, what if one day we just decided to let the cat out of the bag, so to speak.
What if we decided to let the whole world in on our dirty little secrets? And what if along the way, as we were spilling those secrets, we realized that things aren’t always what they seem and with that knowledge, it changed the whole story?
In this book, I’m laying it all out there. The unraveling of my life. My coming undone. What one might’ve seen had they been paying attention.
What I’ve found in life is people often believe lies before they’ll believe the truth. Well, here it is, in a nutshell. I’ll let you decide which is which.

I am a huge fan of Britney King’s and I was so excited to get my hands on this one. Around The Bend was one hell of a rollercoaster ride, filled with twists and turns and OMG moments. Be ready with tissues and fists as Britney King had all my emotions raging while I read this novel that feels so much like real life. I hated to see it end. I was left with tears in my eyes and craving more, like a junkie needing their fix. If you are looking for thrills and chills that will stick with you after putting the book away, look no further.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Around The Bend by Britney King.

Not much to like.
Did not care much for. This book
Not a psychological thriller, as advertised. More like S&M soft porn. Would not recommend. Really unpleasant, discarded as soon as I realized the direction it was taking.
Romance and deceit. Pretty good novel.
I really liked this book -it was very well written and kept my interest
The ending broke my heart but what an awesome story, absolutely loved it.
I enjoy Britney King’s writing. You think you know someone…until you don’t. I love
Britney’s witty dialogue. If only I could think of those things to say to some of the people in my life!
Good book! Give it a read. I promise you will like it!
It sounded better than it was. I was bored with it but tried to keep going until I finally put it down for good.
A good read
A very touching work of art. The plot engages you from start to finish. The characters grab you and don’t let you go, great development and the continue to grow throughout the story.
Really good characters and a solid story line
At first, I liked this book. Then I didn’t. I skipped a lot of pages getting the jist of the story. The very end was the best part of the whole book. This is not a THRILLER is any sense of the word; more of a so so romance . Basically an addict being helped to get clean.
Nothing special
Stopped reading. Boring
Loved it
I was totally surprised by twists and turns and saddened by the ending
Good story with a surprise ending.
This book was entertaining to read and I really liked the two main characters. Story line was easy moving and not bogged down in too many details, but that in the end turned out to be it’s main flaw. It was chiefly a view of the interaction of the two main characters, with a minimum of character building of those outside of them.
Toward the end of the book, it felt very predictable. Seemed the author lost her way, since there were several paths that she could have seized to create a more interesting story line, but was unable to.
Not great, not awful just a fun quick read.
The relationship between the two main characters was unpredictable & funny. The end was tragic, but you never knew where the story line would take you. I enjoyed it tremendously.
