I have read every thing by Terry Brooks, I love his writing.
love all his books
Shannara isn’t a land of the past or fantasy – it’s the land of the future. It’s the land that emerged after an apocalyptic time period full of demons re-emerging and humans allowing the land to go be poisoned by their greed. In Armageddon’s Children, we get to see how it all happened and where it all came from.
The last remaining Knights of the …
Great series, enjoyed far more than his original Shannara stories. Different, but with faint links between the two.
very thought provoking.
This story about the possible condition of our beloved planet after the adults have destroyed everything due to our lack of caring for the future generations shows how the children are forced to fight and live in nightmare conditions….they are brave, tough, strong fighter that only want a better planet to live on
Loved this book!! I read the other two in the trilogy as well! Apocalyptic/fantasy yet realistic too!
I could not put down this series of books on Origins of Shannara
When the bombs fall!
Terry Brooks is awesome. I remember reading the last book of the Scions of Shannara series when I was 17 and crying because that the was the last Shannara series (at the time) and it was done. I cried during this book too, but because of what was happening. Any art that makes you feel is pretty great art, in my amateur opinion. After finishing …
Does a great job of bring two series together!
What praise can be heaped upon Terry Brooks, that hasn’t already been written? He’s Terry Brooks. Armageddon’s Children affirms his reputation.
But, if you read the Shanara series and wondered how the world of rusting automobiles, crumbling ancient structures, Elves, Gnomes, Demons, and Humans came to be, this book is for you. But be forewarned, …
Long time Terry Brooks fan, so I pretty much like everything he writes
I really enjoyed the book was very hard to put down would love to read more but I am on a fixed income and really can not afford the higher prices that are asked for the books
Loved the book, different setting than any other si-fi I’ve read. Great character’s.
I bought the audible option and the reader was so boring after my third try I quit.
Brooks and his Shannara Series is just AWESOME!!
This is supposed to be a prequel to Shannara Chronicles, but the writing style feels more pre-K. I was saddened, and shocked, and felt a little bit cheated because an author whose name signal an immediate buy for me in the past put out this dreck.
Terry Brooks never disappoints.
I love all of Terry Brooks works, but especially Running with the Demon (Word and the Void arc) and then this Genesis of Shanara arc. Wonderful characters.
