An intriguing plot, combining fact and fiction into a fast-paced story, taking readers across the world chasing Noah’s Ark. Treasure Hunter Carter Hunt and his sidekick Jayden Takada find themselves in a manned submersible on the way to the resting place of the Titanic in search of a map. Before long, they’re attacked by another group who don’t care for historical works per se, but rather their value.
With realistic characters, Rick has created a story filled with action, adventure, angst, danger, and even some humor. For those who love to be immersed in a fictional world to forget everyday events, this one is for you. I won’t spoil the story for you, but suffice to say I’ll be picking up the next one in the series.
The book overall was good. A bit too descriptive. For example, many pages describing EXACTLY how the mini sub navigated through the Titanic and out again. Really could have been about 2 pages and then get on with the story. It builds up nicely. They seem to be on to something and are embarking on an adventure and then the story just abruptly ends without seeming to really come to a conclusion.
Fast-paced, fun and thrilling story all in one.
Action + Archeology is a win in my book! It was an entertaining read and I look forward to more books with this trio of characters!
The book was definitely entertaining for a fictional story. I really liked the characters
but not so much the story line.
Some goofy turns. Historical accuracy leaves some to be desired.
Well researched
For me some parts were unbelievable and hard to follow. Basically a good story line just lost me in some areas as I tried to figure out how they were doing what they said they were doing.
This could actually happen.
Which ark becomes the twist, not what was happening in beginning but a great play on the word…ark is a fantastic read.
transition from one scenario to another the author jumps without describing the transition, ie, how did the characters go from being chased in Iran’s desert at the foot of Mt Ararat to the next scene of Instanbul or Paris or wherever.
This story reminded me of the movie National Treasure, but aboard the Titanic. The suspense and twists that happen while they hunt for the map and Ark keep this story so intriguing. I thought the description of the Titanic was amazing. I could truly see through my mind’s eye what they were looking at it and moving around. I always have been fascinated with the Titanic and her stories. Ark Found was a fun twist on the fate of the Titanic and Noah’s Ark.
Dan Delgado narrated this story. Mr Delgado has an easy to listen to voice. His ability to change his tones to separate the characters was amazing. So many different characters, and I followed as if they were talking to me. Dan Delgado brought this story to life.
Amazing Adventure. In this second outing of the Omega Team, Chesler pairs taut action sequences with stunningly beautiful set pieces… and manages to toss in a couple of points to ponder as well. Even though it is Book 2, it can absolutely be read first, as virtually nothing from the first adventure is spoiled in this book other than the basic setup of who the adversaries are on each side. Fans of Clive Cussler or James Rollins should enjoy this combination of sea and historical mystery with globe spanning action and adventure, and I for one am looking forward to the next entry in the series!
