Ari’s life is turned upside down so she finds refuge in a friend’s summer house for six weeks in the small town of Moonshire. There she makes new friends and meets the man of her dreams. Will they fall in love or remain as friends and will they stay in Moonshire? I enjoyed observing Ari’s transition from big city woman to finding that small towns are a delightful place to live. The interaction been her and Jack was believable and the characters were well developed. They both had baggage to work through and it’s these things that may break them or have them draw closer together. I enjoyed reading Ari’s Adventure and will read more by this author.

This is my first time reading something by Ms. Sweet, and it was wonderful! This is the second book in the series and I know I definitely want to go back and read the first one. I love reading small town romances, and this one was perfect. This is a charming love story that touches on healing and second chances. You will surely feel a pull on your heartstrings when you read this. Ari and Jack are an endearing couple. Their journey to love is an emotional one, and you can’t help but root for them along the way. It’s a well written book with realistic characters that deal with emotions and real-life problems. The characters are wonderful and well defined with depth and personalities that give them an authentic quality. The storyline flows very nicely and pulls you in right from the start. Great book to add to your summer reading list!

Mature, Small-Town Romance
While this is only the second book in the series, I have to say that I love that the author is featuring romances between more mature characters. Not that I don’t enjoy the younger love romances, but I really think having a hero and heroine who have had more life experiences adds a richness and complexity to both characterization and plot that just simply cannot happen in a story that revolves around a younger couple. This one was certainly no exception in regard to that. Our heroine is certainly having a hard few days at the start of the book. In the first scene, she learns that she has just lost the job that she’s had for nearly 30 years because the business has been sold, but the new buyers only want the list of clients, not the employees or the actual business. The very next day she discovers her husband’s two years of infidelity; they have been married for 28 years and have two children who are in college. After spending some time with her kids, she takes up a friend on a long-standing offer to visit; she’ll actually be house-sitting.
Of course, we have a romance plot. Obviously, the heroine will have trust issues, and it turns out that the hero of the piece has some as well. Their meet-cute is, shall we say, interesting, but I’ll let you discover that for yourself. I thought the author realistically portrayed what it feels like to have a raw and deep betrayal that you never saw coming; I can say this because something similar happened to me. I enjoyed watching both main characters try to untangle their pasts and their deep emotions as they try to break free from what holds them back. I do have one small quibble with the book. The book had an information dump right at the start, and I am never a fan of that. I think the details in those first paragraphs could have been easily woven into the story more gracefully. But other than that, I thought this was a well-written book with believable and sympathetic characters.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Ari is staying at the house of friends after her major life crises. Jack is working as a handyman after his own trouble. I especially enjoyed reading how their relationship developed from their first meeting slowly learning to trust again.

A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. As this is the second book in the series it is a standalone read. This one about Ari and her struggles and how she handles them to move on. Jack comes with his own struggles and the way he also moves on. I cannot wait until the next one comes out in this series.
We are once again back in the magical Moonshire Bay and it appears at first every time Ari and Jack meet they set each other off which is interesting seeing as thought neither are looking for a relationship. I liked how we slowly get to know Jack and see how he has flaws but was also burnt badly by his ex while seeing Ari make new friends who show her that life isn’t over yet. Both Ari and Jack have a chance not only at healing but also at love if only they can decide to take the next step as well as a chance on each other. Be ready for some good laughs, sadness, new friends, happiness and a great story!

Ari feels like she is treading water when going through all the emotions of getting a divorce from a cheating husband. She agrees to look after her friend’s house in Moonshire Bay, to get away from it all. Ari knows she shouldn’t feel an attraction to Jack, but she does. And he feels the same way about her.
I was torn by wanting this couple to be happy and fear that something would happen to prevent it. This is a story about strong characters and a better, second chance to find love after their children are grown.

I enjoyed reading this sweet and clean romance set in the small town of Moonshire Bay. The main characters, Ari and Jack were likable, and they had enough baggage from their previous marriages to give the story the right amount of drama. As a stand-alone, the story met all the needs/expectations I have for my romance reads, and was well-written. However, as part of a set, the plot was very similar to the first book in the series, so that made it very predictable. This story has a lot to do with the hurt and confusion of divorce. Two people whose spouses cheated on them. They lost almost everything they had, and both ended up in the same small town. The story tells of their trails, hurt, and losses and how they coped with them. Their friendship grows and they help each other through the tough times. I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.
The day after she’s laid off from her only job since college, Ari finds out that her husband of 28 years has been having an affair and wants a divorce. She takes a friend’s offer to stay in their second home in Moonshire Bay for a while. Jack lost his wife, his best friend and his business to their affair, and they’ve framed him for tax fraud. That, and his alcoholism, lead him toward a simpler life in Moonshire Bay. This is such a nice book, and I like it a little more than the first one in the series. I love this small town. Sure, everybody knows everybody’s business, but there’s a real sense of community and caring among the locals, and they readily accept newcomers. Ari and Jack are both willing to accept responsibility and offer apologies when they’ve done something to offend the other. I love that she doesn’t back down when she learns of his alcoholism. One thing I particularly liked about both of them is that they aren’t afraid to head in another direction career-wise. Her soon-to-be ex – what a piece of work he is. What he did money-wise and what he told their daughter about the divorce – unforgiveable. Their epilogue is so sweet, and this happy ending puts all their past pain where it belongs – in the past.

I enjoyed this book and watching a middle aged woman transform and continue her life when faced with adversity. Way to go Ari!! It was definitely an uplifting book for “mature” women. I was impressed with her strength and would recommend this book to all women!

The second book in the A Moonshire Bay Small Town Romance series a well written story with a very good storyline, the story flows smoothly across the pages. Ari sees something on her husband Craig’s phone, that is when he tells he he has been cheating for the last two years, and now wants a divorce. Ari goes to Moonshire Bay to heal, she meets Jack Callahan and they become friends. I enjoyed seeing their story come together. I want to read more in this series. Definite proof to never give up.

So far, this series seems to start each book off with infidelity and divorce, which is not something I like seeing. The characters were good and they had challenges to go through. I enjoyed getting to know more of the town. I just got hung up on all the the intricacies of divorce and things leading to it. Even college age kids and their futures are heavily impacted by divorce and its aftermath.

A small town romance set in the quaint small town of Moonshire Bay. When Ari found out her husband was having an affair and she lost her job the same day, she needed a getaway. She definitely didn’t need a new relationship. Jack has been burned in the past and just lives day to day with his blinders on. When they meet and start working on a project together, they can’t deny the chemistry is there but can they each overcome their trust issues and have a HEA?
Great characters you”ll easily fall in love with and the story line is captivating and flows smoothly through the pages. Grab your copy today and enjoy Ari and Jack’s story as you sit in your favorite reading spot with your favorite summer beverage.

When it rains it pours as Ari learns, after losing her job and learning her husband has been having an affair. When Ari’s friend, Barbara offers her the use of their home in Moonshine Bay, it’s an answer to her prayers. When Ari first meets Jack, it’s not a happy event, lol. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say, if you enjoy reading about small town romances with some wonderful characters, you will enjoy this book.

From the first page, I didn’t want to put this story down! This love story flows on the pages just like real life with all it’s hiccups. As you read, you just know love is in the air even if the characters don’t admit it until late in the story. “Ari’s Adventure” is recommended for everyone!

Both Ari and Jack have had there trust broken and although they feel the chemistry will they allow themselves to make a go at it. The characters are well written and the storyline has a smooth flow.

I want to move to Moonshire Bay myself, what a wonderful small town community this is. Ari was so lucky to be able to escape to Moonshire Bay after her world fell apart. I really liked Ari and felt for her after she was completely blindsided by her boss and then her despicable husband. And our leading man Jack was very nice indeed, I liked that he didn’t appear jaded after all he’d been put through, it made a nice change. The growing relationship between Ari and Jack was really lovely and I’m glad they got their happy ending.
