Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be the familiar of a badass unicorn shifter? FEAR NOT! Your prayers have been answered. My life wasn’t always centered around my one-of-a-kind mistress, Celestia Rainbow. I was born into a world that wasn’t so fond of a phoenix-harpy hybrid like myself.Regardless of the hate my own kind bestowed upon me, my family did their best to love me, no … their best to love me, no matter how different I was. But being different comes with challenges and heartbreak as my loving family is slaughtered and I’m left with nowhere to call home.
Thanks to a little girl who didn’t judge me by my cover, my new life begins, a life where I’m loved for the little creature I am within. Fifteen years later, I’m now by my mistress’ side, ready to watch her prove her worth.
I didn’t know I, too, would get my chance to shine, but you never know what the future has in store-especially when the future delivers me six men of my own.
My name is Arielle Rainbow and this is my story of how love came knocking on my door…quite literally.

As I heard that Celestias familiar Arielle gets her own book I was freakin out because I loved her attitude and bond with Celestia, and I wasnt disappointed after reading it….well actually i devoured it in one go!
You’re jumping right onto the feels train with Arielles past and get to know her and especially throughout the book why shes that amazing character that deserves a spot in your heart. With every hurdle she and her familiar friends take they are worming their Way into your heart so deep you really don’t want the book to end!
It’s an heartwarming and at the same time gut wrenching story that’ll leave you craving for more!!!
First off, I would most definitely recommend that you read the Celestia series before this book. Otherwise, there will be references made that are not fully explained because they’re explained in the other series. It’s not necessary exactly, but otherwise it may leave the reader feeling as if the author has skipped huge chunks of information essential to setting scene which is the case at all. This book takes place at the same time as Celestia, just from Arielle’s perspective. Anyway, just something to keep in mind.
Now on to this book: I’m not too proud to admit that this book had me in tears at times. So. Many. Times. I figured, with Arielle’s personality from the Celestia books, that it would be all upbeat and pure freakin sunshine. Not that there aren’t upbeat parts, but I was certainly not expecting to guy wrenching emotions that this book elicited in me! Seriously, Yumoryori Wilson does a fantastic job of constantly leaving me surprised with her novels.
I fell even more in love with Arielle’s character in this book. She’s such a vibrant character! However, I will say that the second half of the book seriously lacked development especially in regards to her relationships with her boyfriend familiars. Development starts, in particular with Noah, but for the rest it’s more of an insta-relationship feel.
Still, I’m really looking forward to the next book because I’m loving this alternative view to the Celestia books!
Honestly, Before reading this, I wasn’t really sure I was going to like this story. I liked Arielle in the Celestia books but I didn’t love her and didn’t really see how her story would work on it own. However, I like the authors writing, so gave it a shot. Several chapters in, and I was sucked and and crying. We see Arielle’s history and really get to see and feel her connection to Celestia. She meets her own harem of guys, and while I liked them, I really felt we got to know and connect with Noah the most. I hope we get to see more of the development with her relationships with the other guys as the series progresses. You really should read the first two Celestia books to really connect to some of the events in Arielle.
So I totally fell in love with Arielle while readings Celestia books but now that love just goes so much deeper. We get to meet a sweet adorable young Arielle with her family only to have our heart strings ripped out as the story unfolds. Catching up to the most recent time line provides great insight as well as giving us lots of new characters to love. Really is a must read. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
What can I say about this book without giving away any spoilers?
Well I can say this and that is I loved Arielle Rainbow’s story and I definitely can not wait until the next book because I have to know what else happens to Arielle and her guys.
Yumoyori Wilson definitely knows how to get her readers hooked and she definitely knows how to send her readers through every emotion possible which is probably why she’s become one of my favorite authors. I really enjoy reading her books all because of the way she creates her realities and how she makes her characters both strong and vulnerable at the same time.
Yumoyori Wilson is a very talented story weaving genius!
So yes I definitely recommend this but if you haven’t read Celestia books 1 and 2 then I highly suggest that you do otherwise Arielle’s story will have you kinda confused on certain things.
First off the cover and formatting for this book is amazing. Next Yumoyori does it again with another fabulous book. I love learning about Arielle’s past and her family. Also her struggles before Celestia and Arielle found each other. Then getting to learn Arielle’s point of view on growing up with Celestia and attending Aslan. I really like Arielle’s guys they are adorable, but my favorite has to be Rainer so far. All the feels in this book, I absolutely love it and can’t wait for book 2.
