Despite her sharp scientific mind and her degree in bio-molecular genetics, Dr. Ariel Jones hasn’t figured out how her life changed so much in a single day. Before she can blink and ask about what is going on, she’s being shot with a billion nanos and some very potent wolf blood.
Now she can suddenly turn into a giant white wolf with the bloodlust of a starving animal. And she’s an alpha wolf…or … alpha wolf…or so she is told by the even larger, very male, black wolf who was used to create her. Hallucination? She wishes. Whether human or wolf, Reed talks in her head and tells her how to handle things…or rather how to kill them…starting with the men who hold them all captive. Too bad he can’t tell her how to put her life back like it was.
Admittedly, there are perks to being a werewolf, such as meeting sexy werewolf guys like Matthew Gray Wolf. It’s not like the science labs were overrun with sexy men in white coats. She also doesn’t mind learning about a side of herself she never knew existed. It’s great changing into a real wolf whenever she wants, but being a living experiment wasn’t part of the scientific career she’d planned for herself. Neither was falling for the local werewolf alpha, but what else is a newbie werewolf caught in her burning time going to do?

“Being a living experiment wasn’t part of the scientific career she’d planned for herself.” Enjoyed this. Started with a bang right from the very beginning. Like that Ariel is a very strong, smart, and an alpha character.

This has got to be the coolest werewolf creation story. Ariel, Brandi, and Heidi are so different I wouldn’t have thought they would have made a cohesive pack. Ariel gets a real boost to her human nature when she becomes an alpha werewolf. Ariel’s journey also forwards Brandi and Heidi’s but the overarching plot will carry into heir books. I Love Matt
I REALLY enjoyed this book. The ins and outs, and twists and turns really kept me on my toes. It was the type of story that even though you had to put it down because life got in the way, it kept it running in the back of your mind. You didn’t have to glance back to see what it was all about. What I love the most is yes there is steamy naughtiness, BUT there is an excellent STORY to begin with and the cliff hangers that tease you at the end are very povocative. This is an excellent story. THEN when you look at the list of Donna McDonald’s available books and you find what a proficient writer Donna McDonald really is, WOW! I guess I definitely found a new author. Donna, if you are reading this I just want to say Thank you. I am finding a lot lately that what you buy turns out to be just a few chapters of the story. It is just a cheap way to get you to buy more of their story. I guess I feel betrayed! I refuse to be held hostage by such a cheap manipulation. You do tease but, it fore shadows the next book in the series. I think its a definite display of of excellent story telling. It used to be that storytellers had a highly esteemed place in our communities (tribes etc) as in the native indian tribes in this story. If we were back then you would be in high demand. Again I Thank You!
Donna Mcdonald never ceases to amaze me. She has created a wonderful series that I am so looking forward to reading.
Ariel is a scientist who is studying the wolves … to suddenly become an experiment. Reed is an alpha wolf who is slowly dying when Ariel and Two other women are brought in to become experiments.
Now that is just the beginning! What follows is a tumultuous run for all three women and the men who want to help.
I love Ariel! She’s strong, brilliant and an alpha in her own right.
This shifter story has more political tones and twists some of the gender stereotypes around, which makes it interesting. I would have liked more depth to the characters.
Great read.
Great story with an interest take on science vs paranormal. Some parts seemed to drag a little but on the whole a good read.
enjoyable read. liked the characters and storyline
First book of a series.
Very different take on werewolves with the story revolving around strong women who don’t fall immediately into a love relationship but maintain control of their path to their new reality.
So good that I recommended to others and want to keep reading the next books in the series
This was a FABULOUS book! It is the first book by this author I have read. I really enjoyed her writing style. This is a unique paranormal book, don’t miss it!!
So-so. Female suddenly dominant and aggressive. No middle ground
Great read
Boring
I THOUGHT THIS BOOK HAD AN INTERESTING STORYLINE WHICH GRABBED MY INTEREST FROM THE START. I ENJOYED THE CHARACTERS AND FOUND THEM WELL DEVELOPED. IM LOOKING FORWARD TO READING THE NEXT BOOK AND WOULD RECOMMEND READING.

I thought this was a great story! Being injected by science, against your will, with nano’s and werewolf’s blood and then waking up and realizing you’ve changed, but you don’t know how much has changed yet! That you turned out to be an alpha woman and your urge to protect was just as great as your sex drive and your murderous appetite, was not what Ariel expected. But she has to be honest, she loves her wolf and how strong it makes her. Reed also sees her strength and even though he is an alpha himself, he wants to share his control with her and lose control with her.
The story is mainly about Ariel but is also the story of the 2 other women who became werewolf and their sexcapades with their werewolf. Good sex works wonders

Well written and a very good read!
I thought this was an interesting and different take on the overall plot to a werewolf/shifter story. I liked the MC’s and appreciated that their relationship was different than usual since they are both alphas. The writing was very good, the plot within the book was well done and I’m definitely going to continue reading the series to see how the overall plot resolves. I’m assuming the series will continue with supporting characters in their own books, and I’m especially interested in how Brandi’s story will go. Overall a very solid read.
Awesome read with a good storyline and great characters that had me hooked until the very last page was turned!
After reading this book I had to take a little time to compose myself and get my thoughts clear in my head before I put them in a review.
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.
