I wanted to lose myself in the small town of Pelion, Maine. To forget everything I had left behind. The sound of rain. The blood. The coldness of a gun against my skin. For six months, each breath has been a reminder that I survived — and my dad didn’t. I’m almost safe again. But the moment I meet Archer Hale, my entire world tilts on its axis . . . and never rights itself again.
Until I trespass into his strange, silent, and isolated world, Archer communicates with no one. Yet in his whiskey-colored eyes, something intangible happens between us. There’s so much more to him than just his beauty, his presence, or the ways his hands communicate with me. On me. But this town is mired in secrets and betrayals, and Archer is the explosive center of it all.
So much passion. And so much hurt. But it’s only in Archer’s silence that we might just find what we need to heal . . . and live.
Includes an exclusive extended epilogue from Archer’s POV!

This book was just beautiful. I loved every single moment between Archer and Bree.
God I can not begin to describe how amazing this book is.
Archer and Bree had an instant connection, you could feel the chemistry between them while they were just staring at one another. This is a beautiful story about a mute man, who has been hiding in a house for …
This love story is so amazingly touching. The way Archer grows into a man and no longer a hermit with the help of Bree is breathtaking to see. The strong emotions and vivid images captivate you and bring on all the feels! The story of survival, trust, love, hope and healing will have you in tears! Such a beautiful book.
I am very conflicted about this book. I normally avoid YA and NA books. Maybe being 39 plus makes you too far removed. I don’t know. I listened to the audio version of Archer’s Voice, and it seemed to find on way too long.
I liked much of the book. Archer’s childhood, the way he had to grow up, and the world he lived in before Brew really touched …
Great story and characters Archer voices had everything good in a story. I really felt all the emotions since the very first pages of the book.. making me love Archer slowly understanding him better.
Archer suffered terrible things since he was just a kid, he lives alone and doesn’t want to have any contact or even go out of his own home, he is …
Again, another book that I had a massive urge to reread. So what do I do? Stay up all night rereading it knowing – just knowing – that I would feel like crap the next day. Mia Sheridan, I blame you and your terrific writing.
This book is just as wonderful and touching as I remembered. Still highly recommended!

This was a reread for me—I wanted to relive the sheer splendor and heart-wrenching beauty of Bree and Archer’s timeless love story alongside my book bestie as we buddy read it together—and as much as I loved ARCHER’S VOICE the first time, this second read was even more …
What I’ve learned today is that when a friend repeatedly names one book as her top favourite and also keeps reminding me that I should read it, I should listen. I have been recommended Archer’s Voice, not only by her, but so many times by so many people over the years that I now feel foolish I didn’t pick this incredible story to read until …
This book is the good kind of pain. You know, the one you feel when you are overwhelmed with emotion and can hardly speak so you stare at the wall. This is my first Mia Sheridan and it definitely won’t be my last. I just want to hug Archer and tell him everything will be ok. This one just hurt my heart and then mended it right back up. Phenomenal.
Loved this book!
Beautifully written. Evocative and excellent character growth.
I absolutely loved “Archer’s Voice”. From the very first page- this story spoke to me in a way that a book hasn’t in a long while. I couldn’t put it down and devoured each word. The raw emotions and the way the story unfolded, it was pure written beauty.
If you love contemporary romance, or really just amazing literature- read this book.
Happy …
Reread so many times and enjoyed it every time. It’s emotional, angsty, and so damn sweet.
The blurb of this book actually put me off from reading it more than once, the story just sounded downright miserable. But it kept coming up as a recommended read so I decided to give it a shot. I’m glad I did. Both characters have emotional baggage, although Archer’s issues ran far deeper. But it was such a sweet romance, I really enjoyed reading …
“Sometimes an understanding silence was better than a bunch of meaningless words.”
I read Archer’s Voice for the first time more than 5 years ago. It immediately became one of my all time favorite romance novels, and it received a special place in my heart. I don’t reread often because I am afraid I won’t love the book as much as I did the first …
This book pulls on your hearts in all different directions! I really enjoyed it for the most part but let me warn you: Reading it on the treadmill… not the smartest thing to do- Both because of the steamy factor and the sadness factor.
But first off, man… Knots. My insides were constantly on edge because Archer’s Voice was just one of those …
Torn between a 4.5 and a 5.
I’d wanted to read this because there was a page for it in the romance coloring book I have. I finally decided to use one of my Audible credits on it. It started really good, then there was a boring patch at the beginning where I wondered what would be happening, but then it picked up again. It was a roller coaster …
This book was simply amazing.
This book has been on my TBR read list since it came out years ago and I FINALLY got to read it! Well, I LISTENED to it, but I digress. LOL. It was kinda ironic to listen to an audio where one of the main characters is mute. It really brought to life the story because I was able to pull out the finer details of Archer’s character and HOW he …
What a magnificent, Inspirational and Admirable story.
Another one of those “Why did I wait soo long to read this?”
I’ve owned this book for years!!!!! I’m starting to believe that my books that sit in my library for long period of times get better with age (Like Wine LOL!)
BUT seriously once I started this I was immediately drawn in by the …
One of the best books I’ve read. Romantic, tragic, heart-tugging. Archer is the town “oddity”. He doesn’t speak and keeps to himself. Then a girl enters his life — a girl who seeks to know him and opens his world up . . . along with old, festering wounds. You won’t forget these characters. Mia writes lovely books, but she knocked this one out of …
