My favourite so far of the series and that’s all down to Naasir I just adored his honest playful and mischievous persona.
He’s also lethal and fiercely loyal and though he loves to play games when it comes to the people he considers his own he’s straightforward and says it like it is. He sees the world very differently than others more straightforward.
When he was explaining to andromeda about cooperative food I couldn’t help but smile at his logic.
And also every time he made references to that stupid grimoire. When he asks Andy if she sees him as a person my heart smiled.
Naasir is unique he is the only one of his kind and absolutely perfect. Everyone needs a Naasir in their life to cut through the bullshit and get straight to the heart
Here he teams up with Andromeda an angel warrior scholar with hidden depths and a vow of celibacy who Naasir is convinced smells like his mate.
From the Refuge to Lijuan’s Citadel and hiking deep into enemy territory these two grow closer as together they search for an ancients resting place.
Andromeda is an Angel with a deadline one that’s rapidly approaching her parents promised a blood oath in her name to her grandfather the archangel Charisemnon.
500 years to serve in his depraved court.
It’s something Andromeda has been dreading and distancing herself from but that time is now nigh and it’s something she’s been keeping from Naasir.
There’s also some background stuff here to do with the cascade something is happening with Bluebell that has all concerned.
Also, lijuan is still alive and still batshit crazy causing death and mayhem in her pursuit for power she totally believes she’s a living goddess.
So yeah this one was a good one that I really enjoyed and I’m definitely team Naasir all the way.

This was the bomb. I love the seven. Their unique personalities make them special, lethal, devoted, etc. After reading about Nassir and watching his character truly develop I’m that much more in love with these books. They always find a way. Definitely recommend them!
Naasir, the most unique character out of all of Raphael’s seven. His mission to find his mate to settle down with made me starry-eyed and at the same time sympathetic to his origin of the beautiful mysterious man he is today. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed this slow burn romance between Naasir and Andromeda. Nalini makes me fall in love all over again with each new hero of hers. But most of all, I’m in this for the long run as rising battles continue to pose a threat to all of humanity..Angels, vampires and creatures alike. There’s an imbalance in the world and I’m sticking with this series until the end!
Justin Eyre’s work is soothing yet compelling. I have loved the dynamic she has posed on each of these characters throughout the series. But I have to say, her display of Naasir is my least favorite. Not sure if it was the accent. I just had a little difficulty envisioning a stealthy and dangerous character as Naasir is described to be at most times. However, I was able to picture the emotion during the times he shows affection.
Can’t wait to start the next in the series!
I’ve been fascinated with Naasir’s character since he was first introduced in the Guild Hunter series. I wanted to know what he was, where he originated, and who would be his leading lady. I knew she would have to be a tough heroine because Naasire likes to play rough. Well, Nalini Singh set him up with the perfect heroine. Andromeda is a scholar/historian who has been working with Jessamy. She also knows how to protect herself. She is the granddaughter of one of the ruthless known Archangels. She will be forced to work with her Grandfather for 500 years due to a vow with him unless she finds a way to break it.
In the eighth novel of Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series, Naasire and Andromeda are teamed together to find an Ancient sleeping Archangel. If not, then he could be killed by Lijuan and her second in command. It’s not going to be easy because the Ancient is supposed to be asleep for a thousand years, and he will be weak if woken too early. There are going to be dangerous and unthinkable trials that Naasir and Andromeda will have to face in this book. It will either break them or make them stronger, although both characters are strong in their own ways.
One of the biggest ordeals they have to deal with is their infatuation with each other. I love Naasir and Andromeda together because they both compliment each other so well. There’s one issue for Naasir, and that is Andromeda has sworn a vow of celibacy unless Naasir can find a particular book. Naasir is determined to find the book in the story to be with Andromeda.
One of the many reasons I’m enjoying this series is that they each follow the biggest issue: the villain, Lijuan. She’s always up to something sinister, and this time it was a big one in this book. I’m not too fond of Lijuan and hope she eventually meets her end.
Readers will get Raphael and Elena’s POVs in this book, which is something I love because these two have always been a favorite of mine. The next book dives back into their story, and I can’t wait to read it. I recommend readers read these books in order because of how Nalini Singh has the stories flow together. I love how Nalini Singh connects everything. She’s become one of my favorite authors because of it.
I’m so happy that Naasir got his HEA, especially after finding out his backstory. He didn’t have it easy, but he got his revenge, thanks to Raphael. Andromeda is the perfect mate for him because she knows how to handle him and vice versa.
I give this book 5-stars and highly recommend this series to PNR/UF readers. Here’s hoping I can catch up in this series before Nalini Singh releases the next book at the end of this year. I need to catch up.
Forewarning, if you are a Bluebell fan like I am, be prepared to have moments of heart failure in this book. I swear if anything happens to Bluebell, I will be so mad. I love his character. If you’re read the next books in the series, please don’t spoil it for me. I want to get the full effect when reading the books and don’t like spoilers.
Beautiful! I have fallen in love with Naasir. Serious love. Before this book, he was a mystery. After reading this, he has become one of my favorite characters in the series. I adore Andi for him as well. These two just fit perfectly. Plus, the origins of our cuddly ‘tiger creature’ was absolutely brilliant. I couldn’t be happier about this addition to the Guild Hunter series!
Although you can read it as a stand-alone, you get so much more out of it by reading the entire series. Singh’s world building is amazing with just enough of the real mixed with the completely unreal!
Naasir was such a unique character. I don’t want to say he had a childlike mind, he just didn’t think the way anyone thinks. He almost seems innocent and yet he is a very deadly predator. It’s such a unique combination that you can’t help but be fascinated with him.
After his declaration of wanting to find his mate in the last book, I really thought the author was going to make us wait. I’m glad we rolled right into his book. He didn’t disappoint. I still love him and I was so glad we got a lot in his POV.
Naasir’s mate was not what I was expecting though. I’m not sure how I feel about Andromeda for him. It’s not that I don’t like her. In fact, she was a pretty cool character. She was a good mix of sweet scholar vs warrior princess. It’s another mix that is a bit unique.
I’m still absolutely loving this series and all these characters. On to book 8!
Unbelievable!
Nalini Singh surpasses all my expectations in ARCHANGEL’S ENIGMA.
When Nalini Singh revealed the news about Naasir getting his story, I was very excited and a bit skeptical. Naasir holds many secrets and is a very unique creature. I couldn’t image what his mate would look or act like. Ms. Singh once again dazzles me! She created the perfect match in Andromeda. She, like Naasir, wears a skin of her own in the guise of a mild-mannered scholar when she is secretly a well-trained warrior with a spirit as wild as Nassir’s.
What I love most about Nassir is the fierce protectiveness he has for those he considers family. Some may see Naasir as a wild and deadly creature, untamable yet compelling; and they would be right. But his loyalty is bone deep and is displayed countless times throughout the series. Andromeda is VERY lucky to have Nassir for a mate. If I wasn’t so in love with Raphael, I’d be jealous of her 🙂
We also get points of view from Raphael and a few other angels in other territories. I can’t really say much because I’ll spoil it and I don’t want to do that. READ. THIS. BOOK.
ARCHANGEL’S ENIGMA is dangerous, exciting, mysterious and undeniably feral! The book is high octane from start to finish. I couldn’t put it down, at all!
I’m always excited to read the next Guild Hunter story and just when I think the series can’t get any better, the author knocks me off my feet with a fresh new twist, tale or perspective. The story was brilliant and the epilogue blew me way. Keep them coming Ms. Singh!
This book could be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend you start at the beginning because every book in the series is excellent!

Audiobook, borrowed through the Audible romance package.
You guys, I freaking loved this book so hard. In Archangel’s Shadows, Naasir grew a special place in my heart, and not far into Enigma, he’d become my favorite. I love everything about Naasir and the mystery of him.
He and Andromeda are so perfect for each other, and watching them discover that was beautiful. I could probably go back and reread this right now and still love the crap out of it.

Archangel’s Enigma is book eight in the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh.
This series needs to be read in order. Each book builds on the other. Going deeper into the world and characters.
Up until now we haven’t gotten much on Naasir. So, it was a pleasure to dig deeper into this wild, beautiful, and lethal character. He has earned his place among Raphael’s Seven.
In Archangel’s Enigma we get to go on a search for a secret sleeping place of an Archangel; before an enemy destroys this Angel. Naasir gets help from Andromeda a scholar, but she is much more. I liked Andromeda. She is knowledgeable, but also has a backbone and it was nice to see this.
I fell for Naasir. He’s playful and inquisitive. He started out looking for his mate. Like it was the next logical step in his life. So when he meets Andromeda, it was a very fun and playful scene. One thing I really liked about him is his unshakable devotion and love to his family.
The romance was a nice slow build bring Naasir and Andromeda together with a loving connection; before a physical relationship starts. The slow build was perfect for this couple. The search for the sleeping Archangel takes these characters on an adventure into different continents. We also get to see new and familiar faces. The Cascade is still doing it’s scary thing and no one knows what will happen next.
As always their is no shortage of action and adventure. The characters are vibrant, gritty, and unique. The plot is exceptional and unrivaled. I’m curious to see where things go from here and who will be matched next.
