When Chaos reigns, April Fool’s is no joke. April Vincent knows she’s Bloodline, but has yet to learn what it means. All she knows is her glassblowing skills are more on point than they’ve ever been. It’s as if the fire itself obeys her every whim. But on April 1st, the universe turns her world upside-down. First, her gambling-addicted father shows up out of the blue, on the run from an angry … blue, on the run from an angry casino owner. Then all her new projects begin to systematically break before completion.
When sexy dragon shifter Gray Verro wanders into April’s gallery, his presence is the first taste of calm she’s had in days.
For Gray, the beautiful artist embodies everything he desires in a mate, but despite being a former bodyguard, Gray is barely enough to protect her from the otherworldly thugs hunting her. Hell, he may not be enough for her, period.
Forced into hiding with Chaos at their heels, April’s dragon guardian has no choice but to call in his five closest friends and fellow bodyguards for help. The six are tasked with protecting her against an enemy they all know well enough to fear, but for April, the presence of six enticing shifters begins to awaken dormant powers, and along with them desires far too powerful to deny.
Warning: This book is a fast-burn HOT and steamy RH odyssey, with some M/M content, not meant for the faint of heart (or libido)… #whychoose!

This was my first read from Ophelia Bell. Now I want to go back and read the entire series. It was so good!
I really enjoyed the storyline! I also liked the characters! I really like how everything played out! Can’t wait to read more!
April is a respected glassblower preparing for her own show. Suddenly nothing goes right: she drops things, pieces break and then her father shows up to tell her he’s in trouble and people are after him. After that he disappears. Then a man appears at her studio and she is amazed to realize he’s a dragon. His appearance seems to trigger a whirlwind in April’s life as she discovers secrets about her past and finds a group of dragons and bears to share her life with. So amazing!! I could not put this one down. Ophelia writes the most unique and wonderful characters. So much magic and love are written into these pages. I love the title. April is an artist. And now something new is rising within her. She will change but this change will be noticed by the wrong entity. One that will want to own her. Three dragons and three ursas will be drawn into it all and will happily give everything for her. Deva and some of her men will make an appearance as well. I can’t wait to read what magic will happen in the next book.
I loved this book. It is a unique story from the Fates Fools series. The book was very well written and the story and characters are well developed. I loved the characters, both new and old, with their individual characteristics and personalities. I enjoyed how the relationship dynamics changed and evolved through the book. The story was action packed and full of twists and turns. It had suspense, intrigue, emotion, hot chemistry and romance. Another excellent book from this author that I would highly recommend!!

This is book eight in the Fate’s Fools series and all I can say is it gets better and better. I love the complexity that the author puts into her books. The action, adventure, suspense and romance meld perfectly together as always with this authors writing and I can not wait to see what is in store for this series.

I was intrigued about this book, since I’m also a glass worker and I was hoping that it would be better than “Eye of the Hurricane”. Glad to say for me the book moved at a faster pace and I was able to connect to the characters some more than others.
April has been on her own for most of her adult life as she lost her mother when she was a young child and her father seems to drift in and out of her life. Her art is what she lives for and with an upcoming show having all of her pieces fracture at the last second has her really on edge.
When Gray walks into her shop the world she thought she knew is suddenly flipped on its side and all she can do is hold on to him and hope he doesn’t let go.
As with a lot of Ophelia Bell’s story there are more than 2 people involved in a sexual relationship, in this case it’s 6 men and 1 woman. We learn more about Gray a white dragon shifter since he was the first one on the scene and as such I felt a stronger connection to him than the other males. Stuart, Murdoc are the other white dragons and Tate, Eddie and Chayton are the ursas/bears of the sextet. These guys are a very cohesive group and they each have their function within the group. They were seeking a feminine touch to bring the group to seven for it to all work.
With that many people there are copious amounts of sex in the story, and beware there is male on male action. Plus some fists were used in openings to assist with stimulation.
This story for me was a better fit as all of the players were around and we got to know something about everyone and see them work seamlessly together. There was low angst, high sex and lots of action to keep the story moving along nicely.

Another “Wow” installment in Ophelia Bell’s “Fate’s Fools” saga!
This can probably be read as a standalone, but if you’ve read other books in the Fate’s Fools universe, it’s nice to see some of the characters again, especially Deva!
It’s wonderful to watch April discover her powers manifest themselves, given that she had previously been totally unaware that she was anything but a “normal” Bloodline person.
The descriptions of the glassblowing and metalwork made me want to see their Tree of Life piece so bad!
Great read, and if you haven’t read any of the Fate’s Fools books, try them now!

Well worth reading!
I really enjoyed this book and the continued world building and character growth that happens.

This fast paced story is another good addition to the series. Though it can be read as a standalone, it is even better read in series order for added nuance and enjoyment.
April knows she is bloodline, though she doesn’t really know what that entails. She is about to be immersed into a world that had long existed in secrecy. Six brave, protective males are about to change her life in the best of ways. Drama, action, heat, and unbridled passion bring this story to life.
Let Chaos reign.
Why am I so gleeful about this book?
Because it’s April’s turn.
With not just one, but six! Six hotties hotter than hot to be her bodyguards and protectors.
Super spicy.
This is a fantastic read that has incredible characters. April and her mates are very well developed characters. This is well written with twists, turns, mystery, and romance. This is an incredibly steamy read with amazing chemistry between April and her mates. I really enjoyed this standalone addition to this series.

Wow. This book does not disappoint. This is the eighth book in the series and after reading it, I’m ready for the ninth. The characters were fantastical and so full of life. There is never a dull moment, with twists that you never see coming. Be ready for some heat in the book that will make you sweat, but will never burn. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I couldn’t put it down.

1 c of creativity
2 T of mystery
1 T of mythology
1 1/2 t sassy
Pinch of pure RH magic
April’s Fool’s adds another layer to a series of Amazing books that provides hours of pleasure for each of her readers. I especially loved the heroine’s creative outlet and how Ophelia tied it in with the story.
This is an especially beautiful story!
This book is another award worthy story from Ophelia Bell‼ Get your towels ready, a fan and a drink because you will not put this book down. If you like fast-burn hawtness in one sitting, this book is for you. Ms. Bell just outdid herself with this one and I can’t wait for the next book. 5 Stars‼
