PRAISE FOR APRIL FOOLS
“I read this out of order. It made no difference and I absolutely loved it…What sets this book apart that it is both lighthearted and edgy! It doesn’t feel like your average vanilla, ‘the librarian is the sleuth’ mystery…this is a fast-paced page turner.” ―Jane B. (NetGalley)
“What a fun, cheeky, cleverly-plotted book! This is well-constructed and kept me interested throughout. I’m not the typical ‘mystery reader’ but the cover drew me in and I was very glad I gave it a chance. Recommend!” ―Jenna H. (NetGalley)
“Deeply satisfying, funny, moving, as tightly plotted as ever. The end of Mira’s adventure gives us exactly what we want and yet still leaves us thinking.” ―Catriona McPherson, award-winning author of Scot and Soda

I love the characters in this series. I enjoy the authors descriptions of things; very easy to picture in your mind. It’s an easy read, entertaining and never know what antics they’ll be up to next. I’ve enjoyed very much.
Wonderful and Intricate Mystery
I love this book! This is the 12th in a series and stands alone well. There is a bit to much sex for a ‘cozy’ mystery, but the story is great! It is not too gritty or violent, just not ‘cozy’ subject matter. There is lots of humor to offset the dark subject matter. There is humor and wit throughout the book that will keep a smile on your face for most of the book. The reader is not exactly sure what is going on until the big reveal at the end of the book. I want to read more of this author’s books in general and this series in particular. I received this ARC for free from Net Galley. This is my honest review.
Deeply satisfying, funny, moving, as tightly plotted as ever. The end of Mira’s adventure gives us exactly what we want and yet still leaves us thinking.
This is the first book that I have read by this author. I did not realized it was number 12 in the series and now I am going to start back at book 1! I loved the book so much! It is filled with interesting, complex and quirky characters that I love already! The story is fast paced with lots of twists and turns that kept me turning the pages! I read this book in 1 day, as I could not put it down! Kept me guessing and wanting to figure out the mysteries! A wonderful book! A must read!
A good laugh with fun characters and an easy story to turn the pages.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
I like the series and the characters. But one murder after another is a bit predictable.
I loved it!
This book was a hoot. Very well written. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
i had a great time reading this book and loved it
April Fools In this book Mira works hart to prove that the saying “Sin’s of the fathers” do not apply to her when her worst suspicions become somewhat of a in the face reality. A reality check for so many of us to persevere in looking out for one another just as Mira and Mrs. Berns do. What a great storyline. I read this book cover to cover in one go it had be so enthralled.
Enjoyable read
A fun read. . .especially since I’m from the area!!!
Starts out a little slow, but really enjoyed after I got into it.
I really liked the main character in the book. I’m looking forward to reading more about her.
Absolutely brilliant, light-hearted read that was fun and funny throughout. Great use of words to bring plenty of laughs as the story was told, but also intrigueing along the way. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series.
Encompasses a current problem in the USA today. Good plot.

Presented all sides of humanity.
