I enjoyed reading this book
Actions Have Consequences
I wasn’t too sure if I would really get into this series but I am pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed reading about this group of kids. I’m not completely finished with this book yet but I should finish it tonight. It may be about high school students but it’s still an enjoyable read nonetheless and I think if any age were to pick up this book they would enjoy it. This book still centers around Mia, Kerri, Jake, Connor, Dylan and introducing Kaitlyn and a host of other students mostly this one is about Jake and KC. I’ll come back and finish my review once I finish the book.
I now have finished the book and it’s better than I expected. Really enjoyed getting to know this cast of characters.
What a fun book!!! I was laughing! I was crying! It’s the third book in the Holiday High series, and it was just as awesome as the first two! I can’t get enough!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own!
April Fools’ Joke by Kellie McAllen a five-star read that will have you crying with laughter. This is the third book in the Holiday High series, they can all be read as stand-alone as each deal with a different couple but they are mostly the same group of friends so I have read them in order and loved them as is revealed more in each story about the different characters. I know it’s about a bunch of High school kids but don’t let that put you off if you don’t usually read the genre as its brilliant, the characters have ageless depth to them facing drama that no one should.
Jake is the original joker he lives to pull jokes on people and when he pulls one prank to far will he discover that pulling pranks isn’t the only way to get attention or will he not care. KC is starting over, new school, new look and she may be hiding under her goth clothes but her heart is still the same heart of a fighter. What ensues will have you laughing and feeling for the characters and never wanting this series to end.
Thank you Kellie McAllen for writing a high school book for all ages. I can’t wait to read more from you.
This was a cute story that focused on a prankster, the confused and wronged object of his affection and how a seemingly innocent April Fools joke can go oh so wrong, and turn out to be somewhat humbling. The story is sweet and tugs at your emotions because you find yourself rooting for what initially seems to be an unlikely pairing. It also makes you aware of how tough HS can be, the rivalries, the shenanigans and the bullying, yes bullying. Still, all in all a good story, worth the read, and while you’re at it, read the first two as well.
A fun read!
Love is nothing to joke about…
Such a fun, flirty romance read that had me laughing and cringing and feeling sorry and sympathy. I felt so sorry for the heroine – what she had to go through was cruel and unforgiving. I just wanted to hug her.
I loved getting to read this book from both the main characters – seeing their motives and intentions and seeing how they fell so each other. So enjoyable to observe them *sigh*
Full of pranks, laughter, drama, revenge, attraction, fun, pain and romance.
Perfect for readers of contemporary romance.
Notorious prankster Jake Matthews goes a little overboard on April Fools Day and lands KC in the hospital.
KC determined to keep him at arms length but he’s everywhere, being nice and charming.
Til she finds out about another ongoing bet between most of the males.
Now it’s time for revenge, KC plans to have the girls catfish the guys for prom.
Can she get Jake to fall for her?
While I like Jake, he puts himself in stupid situations and like most teenage boys, makes it worse without meaning too. His good intentions always seem to backfire with KC.
But you can’t help but feel bad for him.
I defiantly got She’s all that and 10 Things I Hate about You.
Had me laughing all the way through.
I have enjoyed this series and characters more then I thought.
I write weird reviews.
