THE #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLERLieutenant Eve Dallas must hunt down the deadly snipers terrorizing Manhattan in this fast-paced In Death thriller from J. D. Robb. The shots came quickly, silently, and with deadly accuracy. Within seconds, three people were dead at Central Park’s ice-skating rink. The victims: a talented young skater, a doctor, and a teacher. As random as random can be.Eve … teacher. As random as random can be.
Eve Dallas has seen a lot of killers during her time with the NYPSD but never one like this. A review of the security videos reveals that the victims were killed with a tactical laser rifle fired by a sniper, who could have been miles away when the trigger was pulled. And though the list of locations where the shooter could have set up seems endless, the number of people with that particular skill set is finite: police, military, professional killer.
Eve’s husband, Roarke, has unlimited resources—and genius—at his disposal. And when his computer program leads Eve to the location of the sniper, she learns a shocking fact: There were two—one older, one younger. Someone is being trained by an expert in the science of killing, and they have an agenda. Central Park was just a warm-up. And as another sniper attack shakes the city to its core, Eve realizes that though we’re all shaped by the people around us, there are those who are just born evil…

This book had a great plot and it was an easy read. Definitely would read more by this author.
Love this series Always eager to read the next one
Love the in Death series. This storyline is interesting with the people that Eve is up against.
All J.D.Robb books are terrific and this is no exception. The love between Eve and Rourke shines through again.
Eve and her husband Roarke heat up the narrative while Eve manages to track a dangerous murderer in futuristic NYC.
Typical Dallas/Rouke love story /murder mystery but fun read
I love all J.D. Robb Books and have read every one from the first one. Love the continuing characters that are added each time.
Another brilliant tale of Eve and Roarke. I can’t get enough of this series, each story keeps me glued to the book and I’m never disappointed.

I like all of J.D. Robb’s books.
I’ve read every JD Robb book. I love the characters and romance between Eve & Roark and love futuristic slant. Always a good read!
Great characters interact wonderfully with each other. I love the way Robb keeps developing the relationships in this series.
Love JFRobb books
This is book 43 and this series is still as gripping as book one was, that says it all to me.
Once again Eve has to take down a child killer, what makes this even sadder is the fact the killers trainer is one of their own.
Whilst I felt sorry for what Reginald had been through, the fact he could not deal with an accident being the cause of his loss started a domino effect that affected too many innocents, thus enabling Willow to do what she did and boy, she really wanted to do it.
I had tears for the young couple at the skating rink reliving their first date and the 17 year old on his birthday.
The ending where Eve had the killer in interrogation was so involved I felt like I was part of it. The mind of a psychopath is shown in stark reality; it is all about them.
This is as always a riveting story with all our favourites characters taking part in another action and emotion filled case.
I love this series and I am rereading it

Can’t go wrong with any of the books in this series!
