When coffee shop manager and amateur sleuth Sabrina Daley discovers that murder is on the menu at her favorite restaurant, she sets out to bring the guilty party to justice. As Sabrina begins investigating, she quickly realizes that catching the killer will not be as easy as pie. Between a jaded spouse, an affair gone wrong, a spoiled daughter, a bitter employee, and a fired busboy, there’s no … there’s no shortage of suspects or motives to go around.
But was the first murder just an appetizer? Has the killer planned an even deadlier main course?

I don’t know why Sabrina is shocked when people she has previously accused of murder don’t like her? She’s not a police officer and her manner is aggressive and bullying
Murders are coming fast and furious…
It has only been a few weeks since Sabrina Daley and her boyfriend, Detective David Carlson, wrapped up the last murder investigation. They are both hoping for a return to normal life but a new case is on the horizon when the owner of their favorite restaurant is found dead.
This is such an enjoyable cozy series. The witnesses never seem to cooperate but Sabrina and David always manage to solve the case. I like how this series is developing.
This was another interesting peek into Sabrina’s life. I enjoyed the way she worked through the mystery, and I loved watching her personal side as she moved through life. Having listened to other books further along in this series, it always feels like a glimpse in the past. This was a quick story, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lisa Beacom did a wonderful job with the narration, bringing the characters alive for me.
I received this audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
Quirky little town with a murder problem.
I thoroughly enjoy reading the exploits of Sabrina and David. I like the light cozy feel and Sabrina’s sweet tooth keeps me smiling.
Love these Cozy books! Good Read!
When Sabrina and her policeman boyfriend go out to their favorite restaurant for dinner they have no idea that the next day the owner will be found dead. Murdered. Who in the world would want to kill her? Her husband, her daughter or a disgruntled employee? Sabrina has to figure this out fast, not just for her murdered friend but for her own peace of mind.

After three murders in three months you’d think the little town of Treasure Cove with it’s tiny police force would be quiet. Not so. While Sabrina works in the family’s coffee shop, The Daley Buzz, she has an affinity for solving crimes and is able to be a silent partner to her detective boyfriend. A popular restaurant owner is dead and the suspect list is longer than it ought to be. This book is a nice length and a good read!
Sabrina and David are trying to let behind all the all the trouble that has been surrounding them. While enjoying dinner, they witnessed a fight between Clarissa, the owner and Felix a waiter. When Clarissa is found dead the nest morning they know for sure that tranquility is no longer an option until they find The murder. Great storytelling and great performance from Lisa Beacom
Treasure Cove will never be the same, too many murders are spoiling the peaceful town. Sabrina and David are once again trying to solve a murder and the suspects are mounting faster than they can keep up. Story has m wondering if detectives in real life get as frustrated as David by suspects who are totally uncooperative. Then there is the secret society that is so secret that everyone who is connected to it denies its existence, and finding any information on it is proving to be futile.
Highly recommend this book. It is a fast reading story that keeps you turning the pages. Looking forward to the next story of Sabrina and David’s adventures.
“Apple Pie With a Side of Murder” earns 5/5 Slices of Warm Apple Pie!
The past couple of months have been difficult for Sabrina Daley, cryptic comments and murder investigations can be emotionally draining, but she and boyfriend David Carlson decided to bring back their Saturday Date Night to celebrate some ‘peace and tranquility.” They enjoy a great meal at Home Away From Home Cooking restaurant, but while debating which dessert to have, their ‘peace and tranquility” is interrupted. Owner Clarissa Anderson, the soon-to-be victim, is having a shouting match with busboy Felix Martin, the soon-to-be suspect, in earshot of everyone in the restaurant: Theft? Wages? Fired! Although Clarissa was obviously preoccupied by her husband’s appearance, another suspect option, she didn’t seem to want any help from Sabrina. Then on the way home, sans the dessert, two more mysteries rear up: Cars leaving the mysterious invite-only meeting? A light seen in the window of an abandoned manor? “Peace and tranquility” is done…
This entertaining book is the third in the Daley Buzz Cozy Mystery series, and it and Meredith Potts have become big favorites of mine. Along with the murder mystery that does come to a final “Oh, my!” conclusion, the series weaves in several mysteries with clues sprinkled throughout, and hopefully one by one these mysteries slowly are solved: Lights in the abandoned manor touted as being ‘haunted’? Invite-only meetings of local businessmen? Ten-year cold case of Sabrina’s missing sister? I definitely suggest starting with “Chocolates With a Side of Murder,” then on to “Caramels With a Side of Murder” to get the entire picture. It is such an exciting and engaging adventure, you’ll not want to miss a single page! The evolution of Sabrina’s love interest, support and vocal concern from her parents and BFF, and the close-knit relationship with members of the Treasure Cove community make this a realistic read, no last minute characters or story twitches that don’t make sense. Delightful With a Side of Murder!
