Great little cozy box set. Full of mystery, humor, and hard to forget characters. These books are hard to put down once you start reading.
Chelsea Thomas, the husband/ wife duo writing this series are really talented. I admit, I binge read this box set. I just. couldn’t put my e reader down to get sleep…but what is losing a night’s sleep to stay up with friends you won’t see again for awhile?
I don’t like to include spoilers, so I won’t. All I’m going to say is that the books are set at a good pace. The writing and story line are excellent…as are any included recipes…. if you like cozy mysteries or new to the genre, you’ll truly enjoy this box set. Chelsea AND Thomas are also screen writers. So if you watch TV or go to the movies, look for them as two of the best screenwriters around. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the Apple Orchard series so I can enjoy time and solve mysteries with my new friends!

This is a fun new series. I love Aunt May and how she handles Chelsea. Chelsea definitely needs to take some lessons from her aunt. Aunt May is feisty and outspoken but also has the goodness and kindness to see what others need and instinctively gives it to them when they need it. The part I love the most is how she pulls pies out of her purse. Just like a magician but instead of a hat, she uses her purse. Love it and it comes in very handy. Each book gets better in this series and am looking forward to reading more from this author.

The Apple Orchard cozy mystery series are a wonderful set of books! The characters are likable and the cozy mysteries keep me guessing. Chelsea returns to Fern Grove to help her aunt, Miss May, on the family orchard. They end up in the middle of problems and with humor and spunk they figure out what happened. Very enjoyable!

All three of these books in the series will keep you guessing, laughing and loving the antics of the 3 main characters. In the first book, Apple Pie Die, Chelsea is left at the alter in NYC and is devastated. Her aunt May who has an apple orchard and uses her barn to cater events tells Chelsea she should come and help with her interior design for the events and at the bakery. With her tail between her legs, she comes to the orchard and works on her first event, a wedding for her cousin. When a body is found, Chelsea, Aunt May and Aunt May’s best friend the extremely quirky Teeny set about solving the murder since they don’t want their venue to get a reputation and so we are taken on a roller-coaster ride since the local police appear to be totally inept. So much fun!
The second book, Cooking the Books had me laughing out loud throughout! The trio must solve the murder of an unscrupulous accountant who scammed a lot of the townspeople out of their hard earned money. Since the prime suspect according to the police is Aunt May’s Friend and lawyer, Tom Gigley, Chelsea, Aunt May and of course the quirky Teeny have to find a murderer and clear Tom’s name. A laugh riot with lots of red-herrings and twists.
The third book in this series is Candy Apple Killer and is not only as hilarious and fun to read, but it keeps you guessing until the very end! When an uppity snobby couple, the Turtles come to the town and make demands of aunt May as well as disparaging all things Pine Grove while Aunt May, Chelsea and May’s group of co-workers get ready for the big town hoedown things begin to happen. When there is a murder and KP one of Aunt May’s trusted employees gets blamed for the murder, it is up to the three woman once again to ferret out a killer. You are kept guessing on this one to the very end.
I loved these 3 beginning books in the series and continued to read more as they came out! You definitely won’t be disappointed if you want a good cozy mystery with lots of twists turns and laughs! I received an ARC of these books from Booksprout but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
This is the first three books of the Apple orchard mystery books! This is a great series! You will love the characters, original storylines and town! Miss May owns the orchard her niece Chelsea run it! Miss May is a former lawyer and Chelsea was a designer in NYC! These books have plenty of twists ad turns, action and unexpected endings not to mention plenty of humor! I highly recommend this series ! It is my favorite series and favorite author!

This box set is definitely one that I would absolutely recommend if you enjoy cozy mysteries.
These mysteries involve three women who solve the murders that happen around their town. There are also some amusing parts throughout the books as they go about solving the crime, there is also a little romance.
There’s also some comedy as one of the trio is hilarious.
I’d definitely recommend this box set

Wonderful who done it’s.
I have been able to only read one other book by Chelsea Thomas “A Knead to Kill “so I was thrilled when I saw the boxset. These cute little cozy mysteries were such fun to read. Mike and Chelsea are getting married when it comes to saying I do Mike turns and runs out of the church. Now, what is she going to do? Miss May comes for a visit and is not happy, but she has an idea. Now that idea did not come with a dead body but you know that is life. The second book has Miss May and Chelsea at it again this time we have a frozen corpse. Book 3 There are six months with no dead body and that is a good thing after solving three murder cases but good luck was coming to an end. It not just a dead body no Mike is trying to get hold of Chelsea too. I loved the stories Wonderful one-liners and a cast of characters that are so off the wall you cannot help but love these mysteries. If you like cozies this is a great collection to have. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I received the first three stories in this series and I really liked them. I like how the characters are growing in each book miss May is the brains of the trio. Chelsea her niece is not as confident in book one but by book 3 her confidence grows. Teeny is the comedian of the group. I can’t wait to see what else happens with this trio
