I really enjoy reading this series, book 4 was about a new developer in town wants to build a mega mart and everyone is not that happy about. Book 5 is about the town Historian Librarian “Granny” Smith who is very rude and spreading rumors winds up dead. Book 6 is about the mayor hires an out of town Santa and the tree lighting ceremony doesn’t go as planned and a few people are unhappy about the new santa.

Chelsea and her Aunt May both returned to their home town and family business after mixed success and disappointments in the big city. Sometimes your life puts out a yield of fine baking apples. Sometimes it’s nothing but road apples.
See Saw, their resident Tiny horse, and a frequent conversational resource for Chelsea, likely already provided a healthy supply of road apples. The thing about road apples is that they make great fertilizer for whatever crop you work to sow next.
Together with close friend Teeny, this trio of intrepid sleuths provide crime solving insight, girl power, and a great deal of comedic relief.
If you enjoy reading about women who are strong, deeply devoted to family, friends and community – and are a total laugh riot, these ladies are an amazing team.
This is a great place to visit, with irony and chaos aplenty- and lots of heart and laughter!

This is a wonderful series that just gets better and better. The mysteries are good and the characters are hysterical. The romance is a little odd but I guess it’s kind of what you’d expect from Chelsea (the character, not the author!). It’s always a good time with Chelsea, Aunt May and Teeny in and around the orchard. Really fun cozies!

Berried Alive, Book 4
When a local developer works to change the face of the quaint small town of Pine Grove with a new, massive store the citizens stand up in protest. The only supporter seems to be the mayor.
At the same time, a rise in burglaries alarms the town, but the new police chief brushes off everyone’s concerns. She appears to have her own agenda.
After a town meeting, Chelsea and her aunt, Miss May attempt to return a briefcase to the developer. Instead, they find a dead body. When the Police Chief claims the man died of natural causes, Chelsea, Miss May and the entire town believe a murderer is in their midst. Since the police are not investigating, the local sleuths begin a new case.
Granny Smith is Dead, Book 5
Chelsea and her aunt, Miss May are entering apple season and there is a lot of work to be done. It isn’t long before conflict erupts in the orchard store and the duo, plus their friend Teeny, are involved in another sleuthing mission.
Granny Smith is Dead, Book 6
It’s Christmas time in Pine Grove, New York. The town is ready for the annual tree lighting and a new Santa Claus has been hired to be a part of the ceremony. Thank to Miss May’s sister, there is no tree to light. Dee has convinced the mayor that cutting down a tree is a bad idea. The dominoes begin to fall and stop with a dead Santa with a Candy Cane shaped stab wound.

I absolutely love these book’s because they are easy to read, hilarious and are really well written.
If you enjoy cozy mysteries then you can’t go wrong with Chelsea Thomas and the Apple Orchard mysteries. Watch out for Teeny She slays me, she’s hilarious and just keeps getting better with each book.
My only downside would be that Chelsea is with the wrong man, she should be with the detective, but out of pride started dating the weird Germany, and in my mind they just don’t go together. That’s my only negative, and thankfully its not mentioned too much, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that she changes her mind SOON
But I do still love these book’s no matter what, and would still read them if she married Germany, because I love Teeny that much
I’d definitely recommend this box set because these book’s are well written and easy reads that once you get started you can’t stop, although it does have you craving pie or cookies
