Wonderful read
I love the adventures of the Apple Orchard gang. Along with Miss May and Tiny, the mysteries are always solved!
Too predictable but clean and entertaining
Engaging, hard to put it down.
It was nothing fantastic and I figured out who did it right away but it was a no brained entertainment!
I love the apple orchard setting and always enjoy having mature ladies mixing up the plot
I enjoyed the book. It reads like the prequel to a cozy mystery series I suspect it is. I’d probably read more.
I like cute cozy books but could not bring myself to finish this one. Some of the characters seemed to have potential but the story just got too silly, at 30% I had to stop reading and move on to something else.
I’m not finished listening to this book, (Alexa is reading it to me) but its a cozy mystery that I find hilarious. I love the way Chelsea writes, in 1st person, main character is even named Chelsea too. O plan to read her next book with the Apple Orchard series
Enjoyed it, a great read.
Loved the play on names.
It was a fun read!
Lightweight humorous, shallow, easy read.
A wedding and a murder!
Chelsea’s wedding day was a disaster with her groom leaving her at the altar, but Aunt May has decided that it is time for her niece to stop feeling sorry for herself and to come home to the apple orchard. Her fiancée may have stolen her business but he did not steal her talent and she will be able to apply her decorating skills to create memorable weddings at the family farm.
Her first designer wedding is well on the way to being a success until she discovers the groom’s body the night of the rehearsal dinner. The police have deemed it an accident but the clues point to murder and Aunt May is determined to uncover the truth with help from Chelsea.
This is a fun cozy mystery with twists and humor to keep it interesting. Anyone who likes cozy mysteries will enjoy this book.
Chelsea has had some hard times but Miss May seems bent on helping her through them. When Chelsea meets Wayne, she turns into an airhead. Fortunately, it seems to only be an issue in his presence. As for the mystery, overall, it is pretty good. A few red herring and wild geese, but not entirely unpredictable. Definitely worth reading.
A trio of amateur investigators.
What does a lawyer, a restaurateur, and a jilted bride have in common? They all (some more than others) want to play amateur detective to solve a local murder. This was a cute cozy mystery.
It was an entertaining, well-written, fun, and easy read. What a great way to start off a new series.
This author imposes humour into the inner-dialog of the main character. Chelsea moves back to the family orchard with Miss May, the aunt who raised her. During a wedding rehearsal dinner at the orchard, Chelsea finds the body of the groom-to-be and she, along with several others, set about finding the killer.
Cute little cozy mystery. I like apples and it takes place In NYS. I am from NYS so nice to have one in my home state.
Be left at the altar literally, move back home and start a new life. Can you do it? Then have to deal with a “murder’ on your property. Chelsea has a lot to tend with. she has help from her Aunt May and Teensy (Aunt May’s friend).
I gave it four stars because I have read others in this series and could tell this was first book because their writing has grown.
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
Loved this book! Fun, light, quick read! I’ve read some of the other books in this series out of order. This series is among my favorite in the cozy mystery genre.
Received a free copy for a review. Great story and characters. Grabs your attention and keeps it until you finish the book.
