Be careful what you wish for.
When Lia’s father summons her to supervise Gardella’s, instead of handing the reins to Finn, no one is happy. They don’t know how to collaborate on running the restaurant. Nor are they confident they can continue to deny their attraction to one another. This book is a good storyline that is compelling, gripping, and interesting. The characters are intriguing, engaging, and well developed. I liked reading this book.
This was good story with likable characters. I really liked how the author developed not only the story but the characters. It was a very interesting story. I liked Lia and Finn somewhat opposites but they work together. It was a very captivating read with some humor.
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.*
Great read, I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. It was well written and keeps your interest. I received it as an arc and voluntarily reviewed it.
When Lia is summoned back to the restaurant she burned down a decade ago, she never expects to see the first boy she ever loved still working there. Finn is quite unhappy when his boss and father figure, Rico, tells him he’s bringing back Rico’s daughter to manage Gardella’s, the restaurant Finn has been managing, and loves, and expected to eventually take control of. When shy, awkward Lia shows up and she’s still awkward, but she’s grown into a beautiful woman, will they give into their attraction?
Of course they do, and Lia kinda sorta grows into her own under Finn’s attention. But, how can they make Gardella’s into the restaurant it should be when mysterious incidents of vandalism keep plaguing them? Who is behind these incidents? Is it someone after Lia as Finn believes? Or is Finn the target? After all, there are a trail of broken hearts in Finn’s used to be a playboy past.
I really ended up liking Appetite of Envy. It’s laugh out loud funny, particularly still clumsy Lia, it’s sweet, and definitely sexy. And that little reveal thrown in at the end about the motivation for Lia’s coming back home? Sweet and perfect, just like Finn and Lia are together.
The storyline was good, the characters were very likable which made this book a very enjoyable read! This is the first book that I have read from this author and it definitely will not be the last!

“I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book via Booksprout.” Such a good and sexy read! Worth every word!
This was a quite a good read it had a good storyline and it held my interest and kept me guessing right until the end which was fantastic. This was the first book by Amabel that I have read but it won’t be the last. It was a really good book and I just loved Finn even though he was not happy with Lia being back he would not let anyone hurt her and the chemistry between them was sizzling.
Fin Newland, ex MMA and head chef of Gardella’s has always wanted to run the restaurant. Lia Gardella, daughter of the owner of Gardella’s, was sent to supervise the restaurant and Fin. Lia and Fin both had feelings for each other for years but neither of them acted on them. Now that they are working closely together and a prankster is causing problems will Fin and Lia find out who it is and will the whole thing bring them together. I really enjoyed this original story and the great characters. This was my first book by this author and I will definitely be looking for more.
I’m just gonna go ahead and get this out of the way. I LOVED this book! This is the only book I’ve read by this author, but what an amazing introduction!
This is a great second chance romance. It was well written, and the characters were so well fleshed out, I almost felt like I knew them. Not only is there a romance story, but a mystery to be solved that kept me guessing until the very end. (I love when that happens, and I never would have guessed the ending!)
I loved Lia, because she is a very real, very believable character. She is shy, has confidence problems, and is afraid of going after what she wants. She holds her father in high esteem, and is like most folks when she feels like she will never be able to live up to what she thinks he wants or needs from her. Her feelings for Finn are deep rooted, and unfulfilled.
Finn, on the other hand, rubbed me the wrong way, to begin with. He is egotistical, self absorbed, and can’t see past his own wants. As the story progresses, he is able to admit to himself how he feels, and this seems to have an impact on not only how he reacts to the situation with Lia, but also his own personality flaws.
This book was a great read, and one I’d totally recommend. Think I’m gonna have to see if this author has any other books……

This action packed romantic suspense novel kept me on my toes the whole way through. I was seriously hooked right from the start, but there were lots of twists and turns in the story that kept me guessing where Ms Daniels was taking us. What a ride.
Lia is a bit of a mess, but when her father calls her needing her help, she immediately steps up despite her insecurities.
Finn Newland has stuck with the owner through many ups and downs in the business, as head chef he feels he is ready to take over, but sharing the load with Lia has benefits that he could have never imagined.
I really enjoyed this book. It absolutely has that wow factor that makes this book stand out as one of those books I could read over and over.
