Loved this book…and reading the rest of the series, but the timelines of the stories are really off. Moves to college, they go to some football games, the guys are away, and then midway through the book, football season starts?!!
Otherwise, a terrific romance!
I love Liam and Alison so much. This is definitely one of my favorites of Kaylee Ryan’s. A college romance between a hot shot football player headed toward the NFL and a college freshman who has been sheltered taking care of her aging grandmother for most of her teen years. The minute Liam sees Alison he knows she is it for him now he just has to convince her.
Absolutely loved this one. I remember reading it in high school when it first came out. I’ve read it at least another five times since. Love love love.
Sometimes the stars align and you are in the right place at the right time. Allison does not want to leave her grandmother behind to start her freshman year. But with luck on her side not only does she get the perfect roommate but that roommates brother happens to be rooming with Allison’s best friend and neighbor. But what happens when Liam’s hopes and dreams become a reality and he is drafted into the NFL…..will Allison get left behind? Or will their relationship only get better. I’m not really sure if I read the same book as those who gave this a poor review. Once again Kaylee Ryan brings emotion and true life connections to life. I had tears in my eyes when Allison read Gram’s letter and just needed them to get their HEA. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
okay let me start by saying I first read this book in like 2015? It was my favorite book, I love Liam and Allison are so sweet! I loved how innocent she was and how he took the time to look at himself and really decide what he wanted. They are just so cute together.
With this said its now 2020 and Kaylee as an author has grown so much since writing this in 2013 and I have grown as a reader along with her. Kaylee is my favorite writer I love her. The story itself is still great and I still love this book, however the way the book is set up in dual prospective would be okay except in the book its Allison’s version of what happens directly followed by Liam’s prospective of the same situation so its very repetitive.
over all great story, with great characters .
I like Kaylee Ryan’s work, but this isn’t her best. This was a bit boring. Nothing really happens. Also at several points toward the end I kept whispering”she’s a freshman.”
This was the first book I read by Kaylee Ryan and I loved it! I am instantly hooked on this author This is a very easy book to read because for me, the story was just so sweet and full of love. You get to see Liam and Allison’s relationship begin and grow.
The Author did a great job on this story. Allison has not had a great family life, you see her parents died in a car accident when she was about 10 years old and the only living relative is her Gran. Allison meets Aiden her Grans neighbor and he become her Best Friends / Big Brother really Fast. So growing up Allison has Gran, Aiden and his Parents. When its time for College Allie really doesnt want to go. She wants to stay and care for her Gran who’s health is poor. Her Gran tells her its time to get out in the world and Live. Reluctantly Allie does she has met her roomie over the summer and have become very close Friends. On moving day Allison and Hailey have help moving in Hailey’s Big Brother Liam and a team mate. That is when Allie’s life Changes in a big way. Liam has Never had or wanted a Girlfriend all that mattered was school and Football also getting Drafted in the NFL. He meets Allie and does not understans his feelings for her. To make matters worst his Best Friend happens to be Aiden Allison’s BF / brother who has warned all his teammated she was off limits. So read the journey about 2 people that never really believed in Love at first site or a Forever kind of Love of Soulmates. The Author shows you young love. they have to learn as they go because they both have never had this feeling for anyone but family. Will Allison find the love and family and safety she needs in Liams arms I think you need to read this story to find out. For this Author and this being her first book she did a great Job with a great story line. I think everyne will enjoy this book. Congratulations Kaylee Ryan on a job well done. (
