1 Bestselling Romantic Comedy#10 Overall Bestseller on Amazon——————————————–Lucas Thatcher has always been my enemy. It’s been a decade since I’ve seen him, but our years on opposite coasts were less of a lasting peace and more of a temporary cease-fire. Now that we’re both back in our small town, I know Lucas expects the same old war, but I’ve changed since high … I’ve changed since high school—and from the looks of it, so has he.
The arrogant boy who was my teenage rival is now a chiseled doctor armed with intimidating good looks. He is Lucas Thatcher 2.0, the new and improved version I’ll be competing with in the workplace instead of the schoolyard.
I’m not worried; I’m a doctor now too, board-certified and sexy in a white coat. It almost feels like winning will be too easy—until Lucas unveils a tactic neither of us has ever used before: sexual warfare.
The day he pushes me up against the wall and presses his lips to mine, I can’t help but wonder if he’s filling me with passion or poison. Every fleeting touch is perfect torture. With every stolen kiss, my walls crumble a little more. After all this time, Lucas knows exactly how to strip me of my defenses, but I’m in no hurry to surrender.
Knowing thy enemy has never felt so good.

I have read and loved every book from R.S. Grey, so don’t take it lightly when I say this is my favorite of hers! I have read it at least three times and still laugh out loud at her witty banter and melt at the steamy interactions. All I can say is if you don’t read this book, you are missing out on the best romantic comedy has to offer.
3.5
: adult contemporary, rivals to lovers, office romance, brother’s bestfriend, small town, steamy read
This was such a fun light read!! Lucas and Daisy’s journey has been entertaining to read. I love how well played the rivals to lovers trope was done, but yet I think there wasn’t really a solid plot.
I wish there was more story behind their hate and more tension scenes, but overall if you are looking for a small town romcom, with all the steam, go for it!!
This is another book that I read back in 2018 and another one that made me a fan of Rachel.
I was looking for an enemies to lovers story and after giving up on other two books, this one was an amazing surprise.
I simple loved the characters and the story was so funny and well written. This is for sure one of my favorite books from this author.
RS Grey does the enemies-to-lovers rom-com better than anyone!
Read this in one day! So many laugh out loud moments. This has been added to heavy reading rotation!
So much love. So many laughs, Lucas and Daisy were perfection!
Can’t recommend this book!!
This book had a very shallow storyline. Filled with graphic sex scenes on and on and on.
Poor, tiresome story.
I kept reading it hoping it would get better. IT DIDN’T!! After skipping over page after page of language and sex…. wasn’t much left to read. Would recommend that you save your money or just buy a raunchy porn book.
I thought this book was well written. It had an enemies to lovers storyline with good pacing, character development, and heat. I had a little bit of trouble buying into the storyline though (hence the three stars). Daisy has been at war with Lucas since forever (without a really good reason for the animosity between the two). They are reunited after not seeing each other for 11 years when they both return to their small hometown and practice at the same family medicine clinic. I couldn’t really understand Daisy’s intense hatred of Lucas that led her to avoid him for more than a decade and then be so terrible to him when their paths cross again. It was this war against him that existed only in her head.

Review:
I liked this book, it was a funny read. I read this because of the preview at the back of Hotshot Doc and I wanted to give it a go.
What is this book about:
This book is about Daisey and Lucas. They grew up together and are arc Nemesis. Everything was a competition between the two. They always tried to one up each other.
Both are back after being away for 11 years to get their medical degree. And they both want the same thing, to take over the local medical practice. Or is that all they want..? Let the war begin.
What did I like about this book:
I liked the banter between Daisey and Lucas. I did feel from the beginning that Daisey took it more serious than Lucas did and I was right. Lucas’s pov broke my heart!
Daisey was a bit immature sometimes but it’s her personality.
I enjoyed reading this book, read it in one sitting. Even though it was a bit predictable I still enjoyed it. It gave me a good laugh and the sexy scenes where hot!
Rating:
3 1/2 I liked it Stars
One of my favorite books. Hilarious, and so charming. Love this enemies to lovers tale!
What a great book! It was so much fun, I enjoyed it so much. I love me some great banter and this one was chock full of it. Lucas and Daisy are great characters, I chuckled a lot with those two. I would love to read more with them because they are so great. I say if you’re looking for something high on fun and low on angst, check this one out!
Anything You Can Do was another fun book by R.S. Grey. This was a hate-to-love story, mostly told by the heroine from her first person, POV. There are a few chapters told from the hero’s POV in the form of email, but there were only 3 or 4 of those.
Daisy and Lucas were born on the same day, hours apart, and have had a rivalry ever since. I enjoy a good hate-to-love, rival romance, if it’s told correctly. I really enjoyed the first third of the book. I was smiling like a loon at Daisy’s internal dialog! But by the time I got to the second third of the book, I was getting a little annoyed with Daisy. Usually by then, I hope and expect them to start softening toward each other, with only a small amount of animosity lingering. They have made out by then and Ms. Grey is great a writing sexual tension. I like that the descriptions aren’t vague but that they are also laced with emotion. BUT Daisy is still hating on Lucas at every turn, except when they are engaging in sexual antics.
I really liked Daisy’s big romantic gesture at the end! I love it when authors have their characters do something a little crazy to prove their love, instead of just having them roll over.
I’d only read one other book by R.S. Grey before this one, and this book had a lot more sexual encounters than the other book. There were four love scenes of various levels of intensity. Quite a bit of language (F bombs mostly), but no violence.
I’ll definitely be reading more books by R.S. Grey!
(I highly suggest reading The Foxe and the Hound right after this one. I read them out of order, not realizing that this book went first. Foxe was AWESOME.)
What a funny, sexy and sweet book. I loved it. I definitely recommend it and this author.
