Landon Connor is a man of many talents–all business magazines agree on that. My family calls me a workaholic, but being driven and career-focused is what turned me into a hotshot CEO. I have good reasons for keeping my personal life on hold. Then Maddie Jennings walks into my life and makes me question all my choices.Maddie says she hasn’t met anyone like me before, and hopes she never will … she never will again. Good. I can’t stand the thought of anyone else getting the reactions I do out of her when I boss her around, when I stand just a little too close.
Pretending to ignore the way I make her feel is becoming her full-time job.
I’m not ignoring anything about her, from her curves to the sweetness in her smile. She’s all I see, and everything I want.
Maddie can’t help giving in to my romantic overtures and the intoxicating feeling when we touch. But even as our passion grows, I can’t help but wonder—can I prove I’m ready to open my heart for longer than a summer?

Fast reading. Predictable.
I liked that Landon came to realize what was important in his life and that it wasn’t working 24/7 for his company.
Wasn’t anything I could recommend.
Well written and enjoyable, but I can’t say there was anything that really stands out about it. The main characters build a relationship and it seemed pretty normal. It was like real life, I guess, except for all the sex maybe…
Great book!
A very romantic story.
Loved it! Looking forward to reading about the rest of the Connors!
I really enjoyed getting to know these people and the issues that got between them and happiness. I look forward to learning about the other family members in future books. I had to giggle cause the idea of flagging down a taxi in Los Angeles residential area had me questioning the author after several times… then the very next page he schedules and Uber … nope after that back to taxis. grins.
I adored this book and can’t wait to read more about the Connor Family in this series. I had a smile on my face through out a big chunk of this book. Loved the family dynamics, humor, storyline and steaminess. You will have a hard time putting this book down.
I wasn’t sure if this was going to be the book for me when I heard about the emotional circumstances that had molded the characters I’m more of a rom-com and dark twisted romance type reader and avoid emotional stories like the plague but I promised to give an honest review and dove in head first this book was not as heavy in the tear jerker department as I thought sure there was a bit of it but it was necessary to paint the whole picture of why and who Landon was the book was charming and sweet you have a workaholic who is constantly hiding behind his job and a architect who refuses to let him it all makes for a warm enjoyable read that even has a reader like me wanting more
Landon & Maddie have an amazing story. Love it all
I have fallen in love with Layla Hagen’s Bennett Family series, and the first installment of the Connor family series appears like it will also be one of my favorites. Landon Connor had his heart shattered four years ago and feels like he can never love again. Maddie Jennings ended her last relationship on a bitter note and has no desire to get involved with the opposite sex any time soon. But when Landon and Maddie meet, the tension is palpable and the chemistry is sizzling! Filled with nosy sibling antics and laugh out loud scenarios, this is another of my favorite reads to add to my list!
I loved the Bennett family, and after reading this, I know I am going to love the Connor family.
Landon and Maddie’s story helped to introduce the Connor siblings, who are cousins of the Bennett family from the previous series written by this author.
I am a huge fan of the way this author writes her stories. Anytime I pick up one of her books, I know I am going to have a great read filled with awesome interactions between not only the main characters but the whole set of characters, a wonderful story line that doesn’t involve a massive amount of angst, and characters who win your heart so much you don’t want the book or series to end.
I love Layla Hagen’s books. They are written how love stories should be written, a little hard to get the two together, but you know they should be. Landon is a big CEO and Maddie is a gardener. This makes for honest and fun romance.
Great story enjoyed the book
Landon Conner; widower, successful, driven, workaholic CEO. Since losing his wife four years ago, he’s poured himself into his company. He needs some time off and he needs his family. Maddie Jennings; landscape architect, small business owner, independent, loyal. She broke up with her fiance eight months ago and is determined to guard her heart against love. When Landon and Maddie me, it’s sparks everywhere. Thinking that this is just a short term fling with a definite end date, they fall into each other. When the timeline moves the feelings deepen. An unexpected business crisis sends Landon back home without time to really say goodbye to Maddie. Time apart brings clarity to Landon and he takes steps to make his future revolve around Maddie, his family and an HEA.
Great characterx, feel good storyline, HEA, promise of future stories, Layla Hagen has given us all that with this new series beginning. This book was a very happy reading experience.
Anything For You is the story of the oldest Connor – Landon. If you are a fan of the Bennett Family, you are going to love The Connor’s! This book had everything you love about family series – nosey siblings, family dinners and so much love.
Landon is a workaholic that is in need of a vacation, so he decides to spend 2 weeks with his family in Los Angeles. His hasn’t been in a relationship since his wife died 4 years ago, till Landon meets the sexy and sassy landscaper Maddie Jennings. These two were instantly attracted to one another but can they make a long distance relationship work?
My favorite part has to be the coat closet scene; Maddie and Landon were so HOT, that I needed to fan myself. This was an amazing start to this family and I can’t wait for the other sibling’s books.
BRAVO LAYLA HAGEN!
Landon is visiting family while on a much-needed vacation when Maddie, his sister’s landscape designer, catches his eye. In true Layla style, this must-read is the epitome of romance with a twist of sexy.
I love that some of the Bennett family members make an appearance in this book. Expanding on that family is awesome. I am so excited for more of this series. The characters are strong but vulnerable, smart but not egotistical, and independent but have strong family ties. Layla does a wonderful job bringing you into the lives of the characters. If you loved the Bennett Family series then the Connor Family series is for you.
I was so wondering what and where we were going to go when the Bennett family series was finished. But of course I need not have worried as our Author, Layla Hagen has once again given us a book worthy of the past series, and started us on a new journey with a new line in the Connor Family. Landon has nearly worked himself to death after the loss of his wife and it is time for a much needed vacation. He does what no one in the family expects and take a little time off. When he does he meets the landscape artist for his sister, Maddie. HUM could there be magic in the air? Life is never as easy as it seems and believe me it is not in the bookworld either. Layla Hagen gives us a wonderful since of family and love and a great escape from all the craziness. I for one need this at just this time. I am so looking forward to meeting and falling in love with this new line of the family …the Connors.
Favorite Quotes:
I was a sucker for men in suits, but men with rolled-up sleeves and muscled forearms were my kryptonite.
Maddie smiled sweetly at him while working on his cocktail. “Rule number one. Never be disrespectful to the person serving your food or beverage. You never know what they might put in. ”When she slid his glass toward him, the guy looked down at it as if afraid to touch it. I held my glass up in her direction, grinning. Her sass was contagious.
The dating world is a lot like seeing a fin in the water and thinking it’s a dolphin, only to later discover it’s a shark. It takes trial and error to get to the good ones.
My Review:
I adore Layla Hagen’s sweet and sexy romance, they are my guilty pleasure and have never failed to put a smirk on my face. Written in my favorite dual POV, the engaging story was low angst with clever hits of humor and provided a lovable cast of endearing new characters as well as and a sweet, steamy, equal, and supportive relationship. Nirvana. I look forward to many more stories featuring the feisty and lovable Connor clan.
